While nikki looked at both coming back suspiciously...knowing something was wrong...she could see it on their faces
''Nikki it's soo damn hot in here'' Shilpa screamed tying her hairs
''yes bhabi...what happened to your Ac??'' as he tried to pressed on the Air condittioner's remote buttons
''It's not working sid...i have an awesome plan...why don't we shift outside??'' she came up with another silly plan of hers...shilpa thought chuckling loudly and catching all's attention
''you have a better option miss smarty'' nikki said sarcastically glaring at her
''No!!...actually...let's shift outside'' She said while getting on her feets
As all left to the terrace sid received a call...and decided to stay inside in order to attend his call...once done he turned around and found riddhima waiting for him
he was shocked...she din't leave with the rest...what was she still doing there??
''Sid'' She said nervously
''yes riddhima...do you want to say something??'' he answered in an uninterested way
''Sid...why are you behaving soo coldly with me'' She asked getting infront of him
''Look Riddhima...the answer of your question is very simple...though ex...but you were my wife at a time...and since i have someone else in my life now...i want to dedicate all my time...care and affection to her...i don't want something stupid happens in mine and shilpa's relationship...because of me getting close again to you!!'' he said as a matter of fact...he prefered to be genuine with his feeling instead of beating around the bush...like this riddhima will understand him and his reason to avoid her better
She stood rooted...thinking about his words...it all acted like poisonous arrows piercing her heart.
''Sid...shilpa got any problem with us talking??'' she asked still blaming shilpa for all mentally
''You're again misunderstanding it all Riddhima'' He blasted at her...''even if shilpa had any problem with me talking to you...she would never tell me...and about keeping safe distance from you welll...it's my own decision..and am sure...even shilpa isn't aware of it...You always wanted armaan...whenever i used to come close to you..i found your eyes searching for armaan!!So what's bothering you now??? He questioned frustrated with her
On not finding any answer...he left the hall and joined the rest on the terrace...while riddhima's eyes...started filling with tears...''whatever you said was true sid...i'm your Ex wife...Why this EX term hurt me soo much???!!''
''Uhmm nikki...this is amazing'' she said with her mouth filled with chocolate muffins
Armaan was admiring her childishness...he soo missed that in her..since she was back...he understood...she was still the same shilpa with those she considers her own...but with him...she was someone else...someone who hid herself in a shell fearing he would hurt him again like he did in past
Nikki noticed armaan's eyes sticked on Shilpa...it was weird...riddhima wasn't there...Sid was involved with abhi...and Shilpa's attention was on the muffins...least she knew...shilpa was trying hard to keep her attention on the muffins...she wanted to stop thinking that armaan was present in there
''i hate you armaan malik...i hate this place...i hate all which is related to you...God please help me...don't let me fall weak...please...i'll simply die this time...if i face any more heartbreak...i have to be strong...not only for myself...but also for Sid...he relies on me as much as i rely on him'' she prayed mentally...with tear threatening to fall off her eyes...before someone could notice a drop of tear which escaped from her eyes...it started raining heavily...washing away the drop of tear
''Dammit...i hate the rain'' she said looking at armaan and getting back to her strong mode
As she uttered those words...he thought about how was she playing in the rain happily...the night they became one...he was drunk yes...but he still remember...her innocence..her smile...her dance in rain
''Really you hate the rain??'' He asked looking at all going inside fearing of getting wet...but he wasn't
''Yes i hate the rain...now step aside you're blocking my way'' she tried to move him...to go inside
''No i'm not''...''just look into my eyes...and say you hate the rain'' He desperately waited for a no from him
She shifted her head...and looked into his eyes...confidently...and said'' i hate the rain...because it's connected to you...connected to the worst night of my life''
She considered that night the worst night of her life...why was it hurting her if she did...even he considered that night his biggest mistake...but why he was feeling now all the moment was magical...whenever he thinks about her getting close to him the way she was that night...he feels happy...was he getting attracted by her??
He stepped aside knowing he had no answer to give her...and stayed in the rain...allowing the drops on himself
''Oh my God shilpa!!...you're all wet'' nikki shouted looking at shilpa
''yeah thanks to your plan of going outside'' she replied sarcastically
''Next time i'll check the weather forecast before putting such a plan in action'' she said chuckling at shilpa's expression...and making all smile along
''i'll get you some warm clothes'' she pulled shilpa along
Once in her bedroom...she moved towards her wardrobe...with her mind filled with question...what was between shilpa and armaan??...she knew shilpa wouldn't tell her anything...she was a tough nut to crack...always keep her feeling inside of her
''Shilpa...Since when you know armaan'' She handled her a pink frock
''Nikki...you forgot...i did my internship in sanjeevni...Dr malik was my senior doctor'' she replied casually
''it doesn't look like you and armaan...had only one relationship...that is senior doctor and intern'' she said surprising shilpa..but the latter kept calm
''Nikki!!! You're full of stupid ideas..Don't think a lot about it...dr armaan was only my senior doctor...and we used to have a lot of fight...since i was a real prankster...but well..that was in past...for now...we are just colleagues..and trust me..i don't want to be something else to him'' she assured her friend with a smile playing on her lips
It would have had worked if Nikki wasn't aware of the fact that Shilpa was an expert in hiding her emotion from people
''Sid...i'm sleepy can we leave!!'' Shilpa said yawning
''Sid...you're staying at shilpa's place??'' Abhi questioned...raising his eyebrows
''Actually bro...my house wasn't in living position...so i shifted my stuff at shilpa's place'' Sid answered
''You're lucky dude..staying at your girlfriend's place before marriage...isn't it armaan'' abhi winxed at armaan...while he felt uncomfortable...knowing exactly where abhi was hinting towards
''No i am not!!...she doesn't let me sleep properly!! Sid whinned like a kid while shilpa glared at him
''That's exactly why you're lucky...the fun is in staying awake...not in sleeping'' ABhi answered in a naughty tone...making sid realize what is he talking about
Armaan and riddhima hated that topic...their heart...kept on denying that sid and shilpa consumed their relationship
''No one can claim shilpa like i did'' armaan thought as a fist of anger formed...which only riddhima noticed
''What is armaan feeling angry at??...is he feeling bad at the topic of shilpa and sid getting close??...if so then why???'' Riddhima thought making a mental reminder to talk to armaan about it
''haha!!..don't worry bro...i'm not giving ya the one calling you uncle before you get the one calling you dad'' he replied mischieviously turning the table on abhi...who stopped laughing at once
Nikki was after him for a baby..and he wasn't ready for kids...he glared at sid...warning him to stop through his eyes...who smirked back at him
''i think we should be leaving too'' armaan said breaking his silence
''armaan is right...we had a great time nikki'' riddhima said...looking at sid from the corner of her eyes
That night was peaceful only for Shilpa and sid who managed to sleep making their mind not to think about armaan and riddhima anymore but it wasn't the same for armaan and riddhima...Armaan's mind was stuck on abhi's words...though it was mere teasing but it was troubling him...why sid and shilpa din't deny it...why din't they say...they never comsumated their relationship...while Riddhima thought why Armaan was bothered...and what can she do to earn forgiveness from Sid
The next day at the hospital
Shilpa and Sid entered the locker room to get their stuffs...they were oblivious someone shifted the bench position...they collided with it...and fell on the bench...with sid on shilpa...and their back facing the locker room's entrance...whoever will enter seeing them in that position will assume...they were lip kissing
''Jeez you two...book a room...it's a hospital for Heavens sake'' Nikki shouted breaking sid and shilpa's closeness
''Damn Shilpa...are you in mood to show your smooching talent today'' Nikki asked winxing at them
While armaan and riddhima stood still on the entrance still thinking about what they just saw...Sid was on Shilpa...kissing her...armaan prayed for it to be a nightmare like it was the last time...but it wasn't
Riddhima felt something heavy in her throat to her heart...she gulped in...and bowed her eyes..fearing someone might read the pain from her eyes
''Nikki...shut up!!...Your brother in law can't control himself when i am around'' shilpa decided to play along
''As if you can control...looking at my handsome face'' Sid placed his fingers on his chin making a cute pout and chuckled as he watched shilpa rolling her eyes at him
She noticed armaan standing as if he saw a ghost...and wondered what happened to him...''err...forget it shilpa...why do you care??...just move on and stay happy'' she chanted mentally reminding herself her aim
He stood on the fire escape stairs...with non stop tears flowing from his eyes...it was badly paining him...more than it pained him when he got to know riddhima was married to someone else...but why exactly
''Armaan do you feel something for shilpa'' Riddhima asked finally deciding to face armaan about it
Realizing riddhima's presence and what she asked...he banged his hand frustratedly against the wall
''Answer me armaan!!'' his reaction did give her some idea about whatever she was thinking was right...armaan was affected too by shilpa and sid's closeness...but why
''I dunno RIddhima...it's soo weird na...when they were soo close to us..we could never realize what they meant to us...now that they are far away...it's paining us to be with them'' he said thinking maybe it's the right time to break infront of riddhima
She felt her eyes wetten with her tears too...knowing whatever he said was right...''armaan we did a huge mistake...i guess'' she said looking in his eyes
''RIddhima...i have to confess something'' He said in low voice
''what??'' she was confused
He took a huge breath and said...''i spent a night with shilpa two years ago...i dunno what made me do that...i always told to myself i was under the effect of alcohol...but deep inside i know...i was attracted by her..when i realized...i started thinking about someone else other than you...i felt guilty and ignored her'' he said looking at the floor...scared to face her
''armaan i'' she was about to say something when he cut off placing his finger infront of her lips
''riddhima...let me complete..else i will never be able to say it again...when we got close...i felt like you love me...still loved me...and brought day and night together...to make you confess it...but after spending these two years...i realized...it was my biggest mistake'' his view got blur with the tears in his eyes
''armaan...i feel the same...i thought a lot about it...and now i know..the night i got close to you...i took you to be Sid...i was ready to surrender myself to him!!...but not to you...thats why i was shocked when i saw you instead of sid...i realized it now armaan...that day...i wasn't getting close to you...but to Sid'' She cried harder as realization feeling strucked her
They cried together realizing their mistakes...and got surprised as they heard a clap
''Wow...you both realized your mistakes..when you lost everything''
They turned behind to see who was the owner of the voice and was shocked on finding Shashank
''papa'' riddhima hugged her father crying
''i know you both always cursed me whenever i said no to your relationship...but you can call it a father's gut feeling or an experienced person...but i always knew you guys weren't meant to be...i feel sad for you two'' he looked at both with a pity expression on his face
''Dr shashank...we both realize now what we did'' armaan tried to explain him
''but it's way to late armaan!!'' he lifted his hand and gave Riddhima and armaan an eveloppe..and left the fire escape
They opened it and found...Sid and shilpa's wedding card...and they again thought about their closeness they themselves witness in the locker room
They felt like someone was draining all blood off their body...and slowly killing them
