A/n :
Small transition chapter with not really any plot , but it sets some relations which can be used in future . Randhir makes an official entry next chapter so be sure to stay tuned .

CHAPTER 2 .
The next few days passed without many incidents and Sanyukta gradually grew close with her fellow servants . Kaustuki's lovesick blabbering's only grew with time , although it was obvious that neither Kabir nor Parth were at all interested in consorting with servants . As a matter of fact , Parth did not seem interested in anyone at all .
Sanyukta , meanwhile , found and perfected a way to tune Kaustuki out when she was ranting . She liked listening to her , she had never had a chance to talk to a fellow girl as there were very few women among her father's minions . However , Sanyukta drew the line when Kaustuki began talking about boys. She simply was not interested , and she could definitely live a nice and healthy life without knowing how 'Kabir's eye's glitter when sun hits them' and 'how Parth tosses his hair when he walks.'
Sanyukta had read a few books on Engineering , that she persuaded her father to let her bring , enough times to memorized nearly all of it . And she found out that if she recited it line by line , she could often block out Kaustuki's obsessing . The girl was nice to talk when she talked about anything other than Kabir and Parth , but Sanyukta soon found out that , unfortunately it rarely happened .
Parth himself was a complicated mystery . He wasn't as cruel to her as his parents nor as perverted as his older brother . He seemed out of place at times . He rarely spoke and most of the times gave calculating glances to everyone .
He seemed to love driving , as Sanyukta often saw him circling the Kashyap's giant lawn . Sanyukta just sighed and followed the green strike in the sky , wishing that she could just get in a car as easy as Parth could and just run away .
She had contemplated going to Antarctica once , to live with the penguin's . She glanced down sorrowfully at her necklace . She couldn't go anywhere with that tracking device on her ; her father would always find her no matter where she hid .
She sighed again and continued mopping the floor and humming some old tune , it relaxed her and and helped her calm herself. It made her forget who she was , where she was and why she was there.
She was on the fourth floor cleaning the dusty window when she saw Parth circling the lawn , his daily routine. Sanyukta whistled as she wiped up the windows , one year might pass faster than she thought . she mused happily to herself . Then she could get the hell out of this place and torture her father for making her work as a servant. Not that she could actually torture him , even if she wanted to , but it was a nice thought .
She spent a lot of time as a child , drawing different scenario's where her father would die and she would be the one killing him . Then , one day her father suddenly found out her drawing book . He was far from being pleased to discover images of him being staked to the ground while she held garlic over his face.
Sanyukta wiped her forehead and gathered her stuff to go downstairs . She glanced one more time at Parth and she immediately noticed that something was wrong . Sanyukta had watched him enough times to know how he usually drove . And she knew , for a fact , that Parth didn't drive like he was being jerked off from the car , that was Kabir's style , but she doubted that even Kabir would drive like that .
Suddenly she remembered her little experiment with that car in the garage the other day . Did she make the car faulty ? should she go and stop him from driving that car ? would he appreciate a lowly servant giving advices to him ?
Before she had time to process what to do , the car stumbled and he was thrown out . He tossed a few feet's before finally stopping . Sanyukta dropped her equipments and hurried downstairs . Since none of the Kashyaps were present at the moment , she had to rescue him .

HE'S DEAD !
Sanyukta sprinted towards Parth's fallen form , panic gripping her . She was not scared of the punishment being inflicted on her if the youngest Kahsyap happened to die , there was nothing that Kashyaps could do that would hurt her . But Parth was a tolerable figure in her mind and she did not mind him being alive , which was more than she could say for the rest of the family .
She saw black hair and blue clothes as she neared him . Sanyukta was slightly relieved when she didn't spot any red , but it turned out that she didn't have to search for long . She had reached him and found out that his condition was pretty bad . He was groaning , the fronts of his clothes were stained in red . It seemed as if he tried to skid on his chest against the rough grass and rocks when he fell . He seemed to belief that would have helped .
There was so much of blood . She dropped down next to him and prodded him with her finger . "Parth !" she said gently , forgetting to address him by his title . "are you all right ?"
Sanyukta thought that he would merely snarl at her but instead he rolled his eyes and replied sarcastically ," Yes ! am perfectly fine , i just love to bleed my insides out you know."
Of course he wasn't . That was a stupid question . As gently as she could she opened his shirt to see his chest filled with blood .
"hold till ." I can heal you ,she said while Parth squirmed in pain .
"You ? going to heal me ? he said in a dead panned voice , clearly not believing her . "Do you even know anything about healing ? or medicines ? wait have you ever even heard of it ? ... "well , he said jokingly .. "you don't need an excuse to peek at this unsuspecting , innocent half naked man , look all you want ."
He smirked while Sanyukta opened her mouth to protest . "I hope you know that my chest have seen better days." Parth added and Sanyukta rolled her eyes at him. She could definitely see why Kabir and Parth were related . But she was more surprised to find that he was trying to joke around with her . She knew that if he wasn't half dead he would never even talk to her. Maybe dying was like getting drunk , she thought to herself . You aren't aware of what you are doing.
"am sorry , about the car , It was my fault , the other day i opened up the car to look at it's ICE and maybe ... She realized that this was not the best time to confess beside she didn't need to ,she can get away with it and maybe Parth passed out so he didn't listen anything. Either way it was good.
Sanyukta got hurt almost everyday living with her father . Most of the times being "accidentally" pushed off by her father. She knew a great deal about healing and first aid and was pretty advanced at it .
She took Parth inside and cleaned his wounds . He seemed to need a great deal of time to properly heal himself but Sanyukta needed to get over with the life threatening injuries first . She found everything she needed and dressed his wounds , glad that the bleeding finally stopped. She got him the right medicines and left him in his room to sleep .
By the time she was in the kitchen , she could hear Lady Kashyaps high pitched voice giggling , with Kabir's obnoxious voice saying something else . "OH JOY !" Sanyukta thought dryly , her two favourite people were home.
She was preparing the menu for the dinner salad , when parth made his rare appearance to the kitchen . Glad to find out that no one was around he whispered to sanyukta .
" Come to my room after dinner , we need to talk."

"YOU ARE AN IDIOT,"
Sanyukta almost threw the carrot at him , which she was holding in her hand . She didn't need anyone to lecture her , she exactly knew what she was doing .
"I know Jiggy , thanks for rubbing it in ."
"You broke almost 50 rules but you also confessed that it was your fault that the accident happened in the first place" Jiggy continued , ignoring her.
"I know." Sanyukta grumbled chopping the carrot furiously. The pieces came out uneven , she didn't care and if others did , they could cut it themselves . It wasn't her fault , she was never told to cook before , it was all new for her.
"So what do you think would be the punishment being inflicted on you ?"
"I don't know." she simply told. "I think I'll be fine." .. That was true , she wasn't a least bit worried . Punishment here , was only a rat compared to what her father could do.
Sanyukta sighed throwing the chopped up pieces of carrots in a bowl. Oh she wasn't looking forward to the dinner because as soon as the dinner was over Parth was expecting her. And while he seemed to have everything planned out , she didn't know what to expect of him. Sanyukta did not know what kind of voodoo-do things he did in his free time.
"come to my room after dinner , we need to talk." ; so formal .

Sanyukta opened the door of Parth's room and the first thought that came to her mind was "how clean the ceiling was." She had never been to Parth's room as Kaustuki had always volunteered herself in whatever was related to Kabir and Parth .
The room was bigger than the Kitchen . A large king sized bed dominated the right corner of the room. A closed closet stood by the doorway , and a faint light illuminated the room. Parth was sitting on an armchair looking outside the window . However as far as Sanyukta could see , there were only rows and rows of tress and nothing else.
"ermm master ?" Sanyukta said , easily slipping back to her proper role."you requested my presence ?"
"Come over here." He seemed very amused for some reason."sit down." He said without gesturing to anything and Sanyukta eyed the empty chair next to him , then she glanced down at the floor and made a face. However , feeling rather accomplished by her acting , she sat down on the floor.
Parth rolled his eyes and snickered darkly "How did you learn about medicines and first aid ." ?
"I can't tell you." she said innocently at him , cocking her head to one side for the effect. "But am sure you expected that answer."
Parth's facial expressions did not change but Sanyukta saw it twitch with annoyance . Good ! she was having fun annoying him .
"Al right then , where did you learn how to fix cars?"
"Well , it wasn't that hard . Parth raised an eyebrow and she added ," I read it in a book , am sure you have heard of one before . "
"In a book." Parth repeated it disbelievingly . Clearly he wasn't buying it.
"Can you even read?"
She wondered why he didn't fire her quickly so she could get out of this place. Her cover was already blown so why drag the inevitable result ? She decided to drop her servant act and got up from the floor .
Then with her new found confidence she said ," For you sake, am going to pretend i never heard that." ignoring Parth's raised eyebrow she sat on the bed.
Parth sighed and said ," get off my bed."
"I won't." She taunted .
Parth rolled his eyes and said "I think you might want to stand up , I have something that might interest you ."
Higly doubting it , Sanyukta got up anyway , "Well am up now , what do I get ?"
"I propose a trade." he declared . Sanyukta stared at him , prompting him to go on .
"My proposition is, he began slowly and dramatically ,"I won't tell anyone about your little stunt yesterday , but you would have to help me with my summer homework."
Sanyukta blinked . "Summer homework." She repeated . A sudden light bulb popped in her head ; this work was undoubtedly linked to FITE .This was probably the closest she could get to FITE . She would be a fool not to accept it.
"Well what if i could not understand it ?" She asked after they shook hands to seal their deal .
To her surprise he chuckled loudly and said . "I am quiet surprised you lasted so long ,when your real personality differed so much of what you were trying to portray." Sanyukta grinned proudly. "I think you are smart enough to understand this." he simply said."I don't know how you do this and am not asking you to tell me . All i want is your help and my family never knows about this."
He raised his eyebrow at her,"and I thought who might not want to help this poor failing boy." He gestured dramatically towards himself.
"Okay fine ." Sanyukta rolled her eyes and opened a book . "Where are you ?"
"Funny you asked ." Parth grinned sheepishly "actually i haven't even started."
