Katie why this chapter felt like more of any epilogue to this story rather a continuation.
Whatever it was, it was an awesome closure to open ends and a good progression to all the stories in it.
Loved the bike put to good use by Khushi's demand, I'm sure the adrenaline rush Arnav got in this ride with his wife and the way she checked him and admired him like a teenage love was nothing compare to his bike racing. And as a result they got to relish the sweet adrenaline in each other's arm😉.
With the demons of past buried and the success of there toasting relation who can be a better advocate than Arnav and Khushi to make Anjali see the fairness and the want of love in Aman's marriage proposal. And the feeling Anjali described just before the proposal was already align to what Aman felt for her, all she needed was a push and an assurance of future relation.
Anjali did right and an awesome job of surprising Aman with confession of her feelings about him and the marriage proposal and what better day could be than there engagement. And the shock that followed was awesome too.
But what took the cake was Payal, Khushi and Arnav's sweet revenge of disturbing Aman at his crucial first kiss with his love. I somehow expected it, or should I say, I Wanted this.
The icing on that very cake was the following:
"Don't you hey me!" Akash spoke exasperatedly. "We don't need another ASR here. You and Amber are plenty to tolerate!"
"Uh-oh..." Khushi and Payal muttered simultaneously as Arnav's lips set into a thin line.
"Did you just say something about my daughter?" Arnav raised an eyebrow challengingly.
"Yes I did. Your daughter is extremely bossy for someone her age, Bhai. Just yesterday, she gave me a time out because I replied to a text at dinner. Can you believe it?!" Akash whined, sounding like an annoyed teenager.
"That's because it's a rule...we're not supposed to be texting at the dining table." Arnav replied haughtily, defending his darling daughter.
"Oh, please!" Khushi scoffed. "Says the man who's glued to his damned Bluetooth! We all break that cell phone rule at the table...you just get away with it because you two gang up against everyone else!"
As if on cue, Amber cleared her throat behind them and all of them turned to face her. A look of annoyed mock-fear on Akash's face, amusement on Payal and Khushi's, and unbound affection on Arnav's.
"You are all out of bed past your bed-times." She crossed her arms disapprovingly. "Dad...I am sad to see you here. You're supposed to be the good one. I won't like giving you a time out."
While the other three pressed the lips together to keep from chuckling, Arnav scowled. What the...!"
That was hilarious, followed by Akash saving a abet from Khushi leaving her open mouthed, and Aditya stating how his papa can save Adi and Sahil from Khushi by taking her and locking her with him in there room. So even the kids know that Arnav and Khushi can't stay apart just don't know what goes in the locked room, eh?
All in all. Had a good laugh and felt really happy b the time I was do me reading. Keep up the good work coming Katie. 👏
