It was a emotional roller coaster ride for me. I cried for an innocent girl, who become victim of this ugly society.
My heart goes out for garima and ahalya too. Both suffered in their own world. Yet be strong for each other.
Things like this do happen even now when a powerful man destroy weeper one. And hats off to you to write this reality so brilliantly. You capture every thing so brilliantly. You write two Character of ahalya and garima so strong and I could visualise them in my imagination and can feel what they are feel at that time, I could connect with them so easily.
I am speechless how write this chapter. It must be so painful while writing such thing when I can feel pain while reading. Whatever happen with garima was beyond imagination and the pain she has to go through but I admire ahalya for her strong persona. She was a women with pride and too strong character, a woman of her words. Glad that she was there to help garima because in such circumstances woman throw victim away from their life crushing her for their own husband. But here ahalya took responsibility of her husbands cheating on her and stood with a girl not with her jerk husband.
I have no words to curse arnav's dad but he should have rotten in hell for his deeds.

Ok I was write for one part that Ana was garima's child but didn't know that she was the victim of Malik. So past is finally out now we have to wait if every one going to know about the truth or nani and garima going to hide this again from every one.
Can't wait to know more. Thanks for writing this brilliant chapter.
Thanks for the pm.

Very heart wrenching and the worst part was all the sacrifice kind of went down the drain when her father passed away too.I felt her loneliness in this world once she hand over her baby she has no one to call her family .Times like this tells us nothing in this world is forever .

Very emotional sad update, felt for both ahalya and greeshma. People like Malik still exist even today. So is it Arnav or Ana? Can't wait for next update.

I would not blame Ahalya, Arjun was a man, not a dog that could be tied to a leash. If not Greeshma, then he would have found another prey! Neither would I judge Greeshma - she chose the life of her father over her own principles - and that could not have been an easy decision! What pains me thought, is that eventually, her dad passed away - well, life is unfair!

Thanks Ruta. You nailed it...in terms of understanding the men and women of the said era and societal standards at play here.

Thank you for being with me through this last year :)

Sorry I am late to comment, but I have my excuse ready 😉 "my hubby hijacked the laptop to play some silly game 😡" 😆
Cholo, bohot ho gaya mera rona... lets start...

So 'The Trampled Rose is Greeshma or may I say Garima?!!!

Well it wasn't just a story Greeshma... The royals, jamindars, and even the sudden rich people of that time never backed off to take advantage of girls who came to work for them for their needs as here Greeshma had.. and as they provided them job, food and shelter they thought them their property. Used them to their heart contents and then threw them like dry flowers.

I would say Greeshma here was lucky enough to get Ahalya as her rescuer, though she wasn't the saint yet she saved the girl form humiliation or from hard life with her illegitimate child. We can all very well imagine what that life would have been in that time, nothing better than a stray dog.

Greeshma's moments weakness seeing the baby understandable... and when you come to know that this is what you are left with (I assumed) you feel more protective and attached... totally understandable.

But then reality is hard for Greeshma it was harder and she accepted it finally without finding a way out... she had let go of the baby, hoping and wishing for a better life for her (I guess).

And now my wild guess:😉

She came back only to witness her girl's marriage... Devyani is shocked because she knew through Ahalya that Greeshma can never be a mother again, yet she has Khushi and Arnav had to go and fall in love with her only... But Khushi is not connected with her by blood (my only consolation)

And now I am Sherlock Holmes😆
