3. 360 Degree Turn.
She could barely see the sight infront of her, blinded by her tears, though the state randhir exhibited was too sorry to get blurred...There he was sitting on a chair inside the room, his face buried in his hand. His body was shaking slightly which implied that he was crying.
Surrounding him were their friends from FITE and Vardhaan Sir. Vidushi was also there, her hands on his shoulder. She could not see his parents anywhere. Not very surprising though, given the fact that thay always backed out on him. Even though his well wishers were there with him, she knew how terribly alone and frightened he must be feeling, how badly he must be wanting to see her, how desperately he must be wanting her to tell him that she was,is and will always be there for him...
She felt as if a hundred daggers were stabbing her from within.- the one thing she just could not bear to see, was see her man broken. She just couldnot. She wanted to run to him and cup his face, wipe away his tears, and tell him that she trusts him.
Sanyukta staggered away from the door and dragged herself to the bench outside.
It still had not sunk in that how ruthlessly her life had taken a turn for the worse in a matter of a few days. Just a few days back everything seemed so perfect. So normal .

"Why on earth are you wearing this hideous colour?" she made a face, tugging the collar of his shirt.
They had sneaked up to the terrace of the FITE building.
" Why don't you like it? I think maroon suits me" he made a puppy face.
" Ah. The puppy eyes. Again." She rolled her eyes as he pulled her into a kiss.
Not an urgent, breathless one. But the one that complements timeless love. Slow. Lingering. Deep.
She broke the kiss in the middle and pushed him away. "I still think the colour is ugly." She smirked.
He flashed a smile too as the dived into another one of their kisses.

"Sanyukta!" someone's voice interrupted her train of thoughts. She looked to see the face of that person. It was Sonia. Soniya Kundra. The one person sanyukta did not want to meet at all. The one person Sanyukta wished to kill at that moment.
Sanyukta did not know how to react. Her first instinct was to hit her hard on the face and beat the crap out of her. But something made her stop. Her eyes maybe? There was a certain urgency in them.
"What do you want now? Isn't trying to destroy my life enough for you , Sonia?" Sanyukta spat.
"How can you say that Sanyukta? How can a women not understand what I have been through?
It was your boyfriend who tried to take advantage of me! You have to listen to me! You have to fight for what is right!" she screeched.
And before Sanyukta could retort, Sonia dragged her out of the police station.
Meanwhile, inside the station, every minute seemed like a lifetime to Randhir as he waited for his Sanyukta to come and wrap him in her arms and say that everything s going to be alright.
He felt restless, as if something bad was going to happen. There was no doubt that sanyukta trusted him. Yes she did!
But some instinct of randhir, was just not feeling calm. It was as though a strom was awaiting!
Sanyukta should have been here by now, but she wasnt! He got up from the chair and walked up to the door. " Does she not believe me? No. She trusts me more than herself. I know that.
But after what she had seen last night, it must be hard for her. But she will come. She has to, thought Randhir , trying to strengthen himself. He felt a firm hand on his shoulder.
" She will come Randhir. Don't worry." Said Professor Vardhaan. Randhir nodded lifelessly, trying to bury the storm that was going on inside him.
After an hour, Sanyukta found herself in the police station again.Randhir immediately got up and paced towards her to dive into her arms. But she motioned with hands to stop him on his tracks.
Randhir looked at her questioningly, half afraid of what she was going to say, half afraid because maybe he already knew the answer.
Sanyukta gazed at him for a moment, as if to absorb him all she could. As if this will be the last time his face will reflect so much love for her.
Breaking away the eyelock she looked around the room at the other people.
Her peers and Vardhaan Sir, everyone looking at her expectantly.
But she said what none of them had expected her to say even in their worst nightmare
"I will be fighting the case on behalf of Sonia Kundra." Sanyukta sighed as a dead silence fell in the room.

It is not easy to go against the people u love, as it means killing a part of urself along with killing them...
Though when u choose between right or wrong, love or hate does not matter...What matters is whether u choose the correct side.
Did Sanyukta choose the correct one?
