I'm really sad for payal...her last words were heartfelt...
I'm happy that khushi found Arnav and he will always love and protect her...

And did I mention how proud I am?! Well, hear it again sister because I am! I am quite positive that with this piece of writing you have inspired many to change their perceptions of how they view or judge the courtesans! How they fail to see that no woman goes into this profession out of their own free will or just for kicks so to frown upon them, judge them harshly and treat them like dirt is definitely disgraceful but I sure many still get the same treatment as the girls did.

Payal's letter to Kokila devi was so heartbreaking that I couldn't help but shed a few tears here and there. Never apologise for making anyone upset because your writing is powerful and if you can convey a message this well then you should never apologise for it but be proud of it ok?!

As far as Arnav and Khushi are concerned, this journey couldn't have ended on a better note! For a while forgetting all about the harsh reality and because of what Khushi and the ladies went through with Payal's death I was hoping against hope that Arnav babu would take his Khushi with him and not leave her to say his final goodbye with a promise to come back for her. He gave her the respect she deserved by marrying her, come what may like yourself and with Deviji's help I am also imagining a happy future for the both of them where they escaped the judgmental eyes of the society they lived in to their own choti si duniya.

Once again thank you for making us all apart of this journey Manzie, you have no idea just how much we appreciate it!🤗 Thank you for the time and effort you put into this story, the research you undertook, the amazing outfits you always picked for the characters and shared them with us, the stories of the wonderfully strong characters aka courtesans you shared and above all the beautiful messages that you conveyed throughout this journey! ILY VL

Khushi was incredibly lucky not everyone is blessed enough to find their sapno ka rajkumar once they reach such a hell hole.

Devi ji did really love her girls like a mother loves her daughter no doubt about that.

Manreet, thank you for this wonderful and emotional ending. The life of a courtesan is not an easy life and you covered this aspect with all of conviction. Though at times it was quite sad I enjoyed every bit of this story. It was great to see Khushi have her happy ending even if most of the other courtesans didn't. Great work, hopefully you will continue writing again when you get the time.
