Sameeksha looked at something and smirks. She wipes her tears roughly and sneakingly goes out of the palace.

In the morning

Shambhavi slowly opens her eyes and found herself in rudra's arms. He was asleep and was looking like an innocent child while sleeping.she smiles and kisses his forehead. She tried to get up but he holds her hand.

Shambhavi: you are awake?

Rudra: yes and my queen I want you to be with me when I open my eyes. The first thing I want to see in the morning is you.

Shambhavi: sure now get up. A king shouldn't sleep for this long.

Rudra stirs on bed and pulled her closer.

Rudra: nooo please few more minutes.

Shambhavi: no

She gives a kiss on his lips and gets up to have a bath. Rudra sighs and half heartedly gets up from bed.

In the afternoon.

Dai maa calls everyone for lunch.

Vajramitra: is something special today? So many dishes.

Dai maa: all these things are made by your daughter in law.

Vajramitra: really? Thats why it smells very different and ofcourse very good.

Shambhavi serves food to everyone. They praise her. Rudra looks st shambhavi and smiles.

Vajramitra: I don't remember the last time I eat such delicious food.

He blessed shambhavi and gives her a necklace as shagun. Sameeksha as usual was getting jealous seeing everyone praising her. days passed Rudra and shambhavi were getting more and more close by every passing day. Their love and faith for each other becoming even more stronger. Sameeksha on the otherhand continued to goes outside the palace in the middle of the night. Nobody knows where she is used to go and whom she met. She started to behave strangely. She again started talking sweetly to shambhavi. Shambhavi from day one treated her like sister.sameeksha also responses positively but nobody was aware what was going in her Mind except her.

Few days later

Rudra was getting ready to leave for some work in the neighbour kingdom. He cupped her cheek and says

Rudra: i'll be back soon.

Shambhavi nods in yes. He kisses her forehead and left with birju and some soldiers.

In the afternoon

Shambhavi goes to dai maa and says.

Shambhavi: dai maa I am going to temple.

Dai maa: of course dear but don't go alone take sameeksha with you.

Shambhavi and sameeksha were coming outside the palace but suddenly sameeksha slipped on the stairs and hurt her foot. She screams in pain. Shambhavi and shrijana rushed towards her.

Shambhavi: are you okay?

Sameeksha(crying): I don't know but my foot is hurting badly.

She tried to get up but shambhavi stops her.

Shambhavi: no don't get up. You should stay and take rest. I will go alone to temple.

Dai maa: but shambhavi you shouldn't go alone.let me come with you.

Shambhavi: no dai maa you should stay here sameeksha needs you and don't worry i'll be fine and will try to come soon.

Dai maa reluctantly agreed but she sent some daasis with her. Shambhavi goes to temple. Shrijana with the help of some daasis takes sameeksha inside. She turns around and watches her going with an evil smile on her face.

In the evening.

All of a sudden weather changes and it started raining heavily.Shambhavi hasn't return from temple. Dai maa was getting worried for her. Vajramitra and Baldev asks about the same.

Dai maa: shambhavi went to temple and gas not return yet.i am worried for her. She should have return by now.

Vajramitra orders some soldier to go and bring back shambhavi safely. As soon as those soldiers left.the soldiers and daasis who went with shambhavi came running and they were panicked. Vajramitra and others become stunned seeing them. Vajramitra asks.

Vajramitra: what happened? What the hell are you doing here? Where is queen shambhavi?

Soldier: maharaj..queen..queen..

Vajramitra: queen what?

Soldier: maharaj queen is missing. We looked for her every where but couldn't find her. She was in the temple when suddenly it starts raining she orders the daasis to wait in the carriage. After sometime when she didn't return we goes to look in in the temple but panditji said she left. Due to heavy rain we couldn't see where she had gone. We searched everywhere but.

Vajramitra slapped him hard before he could finish.he yelled at them furiously. Dai maa was inhaling sharply. She cries and Baldev consoles her.

Dai maa: its all my fault. I shouldn't have let her go alone. Don't know where she would be.

Baldev: we'll find her shrijana. She is herself a warrior no one can harm her. Control yourself.

Vajranitra: you all were supposed to protect her. Why did you leave her alone? You all will be punished for this.

The soldiers and daasis were shaking in fear. Vajramitra says.

Vajramitra: come Baldev we'll find her if Rudra gets to know about this then don't know what he'll do.

They were about to leave when they saw Rudra and birju coming. Rudra looks at everyone and realised that something is wrong. He asked.

Rudra: pitaji..whats wrong is everything alright?

Vajramitra didn't say anything. Rudra goes near dai and wipes her tears. He asked her but she too didn't say anything. He says.

Rudra: is anyone gonna tell me whats happening?

Baldev: Rudra..shambhavi..

Rudra looks at Baldev and takes a deep breath. He knew its related to shambhavi coz he never saw them so much tensed and worried.

Rudra: shambhavi?? What happened to her?

Baldev: she went to temple in the afternoon and has not returned yet. She is missing.

Rudra becomes shocked hearing this. He felt as if the ground slipped beneath his feet. He closed his eyes and saw her smiling face when he was leaving. He exhaled slowly and opens his eyes.,he goes to find shambhavi without saying a word to anyone. Birju also goes with him.vajramitra and Baldev watches him going sadly. It was pouring rain They reach the temple. Rudra goes inside the temple an searches for shambhavi. Temple was empty no one was there. Everyone left the temple because of bad weather and heavy rain. Rudra was looking for shambhavi impatiently. Birju tried to console him.

Birju: we'll find her Rudra. Don't worry.

Rudra nods in yes.there was a dense forest behind the temple. They decided to go and look for her there. It was night and Due to heavy rain they were having difficulty to see. Rudra was calling her name. They decided to search in different directions.they were completely drenched in rain. Rudra passes by a tree and suddenly stops. He took a few steps back and tried to look closely. He saw someone lying on the ground in the flash of lightning. It was shambhavi and he recognises her. He quickly goes towards her and holds her. She was unconscious.

Rudra: Shama..shama open your eyes.look I am here.

Rudra calls out for birju and be comes running. Rudra lifts her in his arms and they goes back to palace. Everyone was waiting for them and were worried sick about shambhavi. After sometime Baldev saw Rudra coming carrying an,unconscious shambhavi in his arms. They become even more shocked and worried seeing her in this state. Vajramitra orders to call raj Vaidya. Rudra takes her to their room. He lay her down on the bed. Dai maa was crying miserably and was cursing her self. No body was saying anything. Raj Vaidya comes and examines shambhavi.

Rajvaidya: don't worry Maharaj..queen is fine but she is in a shock and its the reason of her unconsciousness. She needs rest. She'll soon regain consciousness.

Rudra nods in yes. He consoles Dai maa. She hugs him,and cries.

Rudra: Dai maa its not your fault. Don't blame yourself.we'll find the person who did this to her.

She nods in yes and everyone left from there. They wanted to know what happened to her but decided not to ask anything coz it wasn't the right time. When everyone left Rudra closes the door and changes her clothes. She was still unconscious. He sits besides her and kisses her forehead. He caresses her head. She slowly opens her eyes and looks around. She saw Rudra sitting next to her. He smiles and says.

Rudra: shama..how are you feeling now?

She tried to say something but her head aches and she closes her eyes.

Rudra: don't say anything.you need rest. Go back to sleep.

He lay down beside her. She rests her head on his chest and he holds her gently in his arms. He lovingly patted her head to make her sleep. He was in deep thinking. He knew her very well. She wasn't one of those people who gets scared easily. She was strong and completely capable of protecting herself. When raj vaidya mentioned about shock he knew something big and strange must have happened.

OH Khaani mein twist wonder what holds next for these love birds. Nice update 😊
