The next day, Khushi woke up stretching her arms and opened her eyes expecting to see her plum colored walls but instead she saw white walls. Panic rose in her and she was about to scream when a deep husky voice stopped her: "Relax! We were married yesterday."

She looked at him to see her husband freshen up in his casuals looking ever so handsome but she completely shut that thought off and couldn't help herself from saying mockingly to him: "Oh how can I forget that? This is what I have dreamt of. Waking up on the sofa on the first morning of my marriage. Dream of every girl, you see."

"Khushi I..." He began to say only to be interrupted by an impatient knock on the door and hear a sweet voice: "Mama Papa!"

"SHIT!"

"F***!"

"LANGUAGE!"

"SORRY!"

They looked at each other with wide eyes and the next thing they knew, they were picking up the pillows Khushi had carelessly thrown last night sleeping and the comforter to hide their sleeping arrangements.

"You open the door, I'll be out in a minute." Khushi said as she flew into the washroom to freshen up.

"Good morning buddy! Morning dad." Arnav greeted both his father and son to which Aarav hugged him and Anuj nodded with a smile on his face.

"You usually wake up at 7 in the morning and its 9 now. Plus I wanted to see mamma." Aarav spoke and Arnav wasn't surprised as Aarav was very close to Khushi even before the wedding and now she was his mother.

"And your mamma's here. Good morning papa." Khushi spoke coming out of the washroom and bend down to take Anuj's blessings.

"Sorry beta I told him that we should wait for you guys to come downstairs but he had been after me the minute he woke up." Anuj said apologetically, blessing her.

"It's okay dad. He has every right to." Khushi said lovingly placing her hand on Aarav's head when she heard him speaking: "Dadu told me that you're going to make us breakfast. I want to eat aloo paratha."

"Bus itni si baat? Chalo!" Khushi said asking them to follow her with the wink and the dada pota duo in trailed behind her in tow, chuckling at her antics while Arnav's lips curved into a smile too and he immersed himself in work before he could get any more surprised by his behavior.

It was at the breakfast table when everything was going on very smoothly except the absence of Dhruv who was still sleeping after dancing like crazy in his bhai's baraat. Anuj had asked Mary, their house help to wake him but Arnav denied so that Dhruv could get some rest as he was the one handling everything and at office these days due to Arnav being literally forced to sit at home by his dad and son. Arnav heard his dad asking Khushi about some aunty curiously. Trust his dad to gossip with his daughter in law! He thought shaking his head and served himself the breakfast.

"Beta wo savita behen ki beti Anjali nahin ayin shaadi pe?"

"Wo dad Anjali got divorced a week ago that's why."

"Arrey kyun? Dekhne main toh larka bohat acha tha. Arrange marriage thi na?"

"Ji. Bus dekhne main hi acha lagta hai. Suna hai, Anjali khush nahin thi. Shyam usse bilkul pyaar nahin karta tha. Mera aisa pati hota toh main tou uski chai main zeher mila deti." Khushi said and tried to stifle her laugh when not so surpringly, Arnav choked on his tea and looked at her with wide eyes.

"Arrey arrey. Aapko kya hua?" She patted his back and he stared at her stupefied and mumbled: "Wo chai..."

"Ji?" She asked feigning concern and enjoyed the predicament of her husband when he gritted his teeth and replied: "Garam thi."

"Oh careful Arnav ji. Haan toh kahan thi main?"

"Chai main zeher." Aarav replied not knowing how he was unknowingly adding fuel to the fire.

"Arav don't talk while eating." Arnav bit out and watched Khushi immediately stepped in for some damage control: "Yeah but I'm so lucky that I got someone like Arnav ji."

"Khush raho dono hamesha. Chalo Arav main aapko tayyar kar doon, subah se night suit hi nahin badla." Anuj blessed them and thanked his stars for the umpteenth time for sending this angel to their house. He had everything but the joy and calmness which woman brings in the house cannot be compared to any money or power in the world. A woman is the one who makes a house into home, his wife used to say and Khushi, she truly meant happiness. The way she was feeding Aarav, Anuj's heart swelled with pride.

"Main tayyar kar deti hoon na." Khushi butted in knowing very well what might happen if she was left alone with Arnav when he himself said.

"Nahin. Mujhe khushi se baat karni hai kuch. Dad please aap kar den ge or ask Mary to do it?"

"Yeah sure beta." Ah, young love, Anuj thought. Was he the same Chotte who was throwing tantrums not to marry anyone in his whole life?

"Why are you smiling?" Arnav asked eyeing his dad suspiciously and the latter quickly hid his smile lest he makes Arnav angry. It was very less often that he was in a good mood and it was one of those days so he quickly said: "Nothing go and talk you guys." And rushed upstairs with Aarav hearing a distant what the!?

He was thinking about his dad's weird behavior and was about to get up from the table when he felt someone poke his arm and say: "Arnav ji?"

"Kya hai?" He asked rather irritated from her behavior and was even more annoyed when he saw her faking a blush, lowering down her gaze and replying: "Unhen lagta hai ke hum donon..."

"Tum chalo mere sath." With that said, he held her wrist and started dragging her to his bedroom.

"What the hell were you doing downstairs?" Once, in the bedroom, he locked their door and hovered above her to know what was going on in her mind. But seemed like nothing worked on this chit of a girl ever. Nerve of this girl, he thought fuming.

"What?" She asked innocently and he turned around, running a hand in his hair. He took a deep breath calming himself and spoke:

"Look Khushi I've apologized to you for like so many times. I truly am sorry about all of that but there is nothing else you can do about it. Dad could have gotten suspicious and..."

He was cut off by her humorless laugh and she said: "Wow! I know you have said sorry many times but tell me this, do you really mean it? After treating me like shit yesterday night, if you expect me to feed you breakfast with my own hand, then you're certainly mistaken Arnav Singh Raizada!"

"And if you think I'll take any of the crap you give then you're equally mistaken Khushi Arnav Singh Raizada!" He also shouted and stood right in front of her glaring at her with the intensity that could make anyone shudder. Well, anyone but Mrs. ASR as she stood looking at him right in the eye as if challenging him with her arms crossed under her chest and her eyes spitting fire. Their glaring session was interrupted by a knock on the door which followed a teasing voice:

"If you guys are done talking then it's time for you to leave for Khushi bhabi's home. It's her pagphera rasam. You can continue later on."

While Khushi opened the door to give a good scolding to her devar for teasing them, Arnav wanted to pull off his hair in frustration. Who the fu** said that marriage brings peace? Was the only thought that lingered in his mind for a long time.
