Wow it's been a long time since I have updated.I almost forgot.Once again I am so sorry for these irregular and late updates.

Part 16

Khushi ran to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror.There it was.His 'love bite'.

Khushi saw Arnav appear in the mirror "Are you okay?" he asked.

"How dare you!" she growled "I am not your property you can just do whatever you want to with!"

Arnav stared at her through determined eyes "You will stay here until I want you to"

"No I won't!" Khushi argued back.

Arnav didn't say anything.He simply just turned and left.Khushi stood there in the bathroom for a whole minute.She gently touched the mark Arnav gave her.When Arnav didn't appear again Khushi went out to look for him but she couldn't find him.He was nowhere.When she tried to open the doors she realized he had left.Only he would lock the doors of course.

And that's when Khushi was sure that Arnav could never have been her Masked Man.

Two days passed by.There was no sign of Arnav.The maid,though,was kind enough to bring her food and sometimes talk to her.It was unfair,Khushi thought.Unfair that she was trapped in a beautiful mansion against her will.She missed her family.She wanted to go home.

That night when Khushi failed to earn some sleep she gave up on even trying.She got up from the bed and went to the window.She opened it and closed her eyes when nice cool fresh air hit her face.

Khushi opened them and looked down at the ground.Khushi had attempted to tie the curtains together and climb out but the curtains had been short and well,it just didn't work out.

Suddenly Khushi saw a flash.She ducked and heard something solid fall on the floor.Khushi grabbed it to realize it was a rock.

She frowned and looked out the window.She could faintly see a shadow of somebody standing.That 'somebody' threw something again and this time Khushi actually caught it.It was another rock but this time it had a note attached.Khushi opened it and read it.

Grab the rope and tie it to something heavy.Then slide out of the window.

"Rope,what rope?" Khushi asked out loud.

As if on cue a thick rope fell through her window.Khushi caught it.It's now or never,Khushi thought to herself.

Khushi tied the rope to the bedpost.With slight hesitation Khushi clutched on to the rope as tightly as she could and slid down.

When Khushi's feet touched the ground she was suddenly grabbed into a tight embrace "Oh my love!" she heard a slightly familiar male voice say out loud "Thank god you're okay"

Khushi immediately back and squinted in the dark night at the stranger.When she looked close enough that was when she realized it was Arnav but in very odd clothing.His sweater had a few holes in it.Even his jeans were ragged.Even his accent was kind of weird.

"Arnav" she said shocked "You helped me escape?"

Arnav frowned "Not Arnav.Aarav.My name is Aarav"

Khushi frowned.Oh great,now he changed his name "I don't care what your name is.Why did you help me? You're the one who put me in there"

"What" he said shocked "Why would I kidnap you? I love you.I would treat you as a princess not a prisoner"

Khushi blinked.Was this some sort of joke? Khushi's heart didn't even skip a beat as she had expected it to when he declared his 'love' for her "Arnav stop this nonsense right now"

"Aarav"

"I don't care! I am leaving"

Khushi turned around and began walking.She didn' t even realize that she was walking in a forest.

Arnav/Aarav grabbed her arm "You don't know this forest Khushi.I do.I will take you home"

Khushi pulled her arm away "I don't even know if you can be trusted anymore.You kept me in that house for two days and not even once came to see me"

"But I-"

Khushi put up her hand "I don't want to hear any excuses"

"Fine but at least let me lead the way" he frowned.

Khushi pursed her lips.She really didn't want to give him the lead but since she didn't know a single thing about the forest,she nodded.

Khushi reluctantly followed Arnav or Aarav or whatever his name was.I don't even know his name,Khushi thought.Is it Arnav or Aarav? I'll just call him Aarav for now and see when he decides to change his name again.

Khushi nodded at the decision.About an hour or two later,Aarav stopped at a small cave.He looked at her "We'll have to stay here for the night" he said slightly sheepishly.

"Fine.Whatever" she was tired anyways.

"Here" Aarav took off his coat and gave it to her.

Khushi didn't bother deny him.She was cold.Khushi put the coat on the ground and laid herself on it.She put her arms through it and closed her eyes.

"Good night" Aarav said once again in that weird accent.

"Wait" Khushi said.She opened her eyes "What's up with that weird accent of yours?"

"What accent?" he asked "This is how I talk"

Khushi rolled her eyes "Right.Of course"

Khushi closed her eyes and fell instantly asleep.
