Part 26
The first week was very tough for Arnav to stay without his wife Khushi and baby Arsh. He felt like the whole house was biting him for being alone. He did call her up once or twice in a day but she hardly made herself available. She was purposely talking less and always related to the point. He knew she was still needing some space to come out of all this but will she ever understand him soon? He kept on spending sleepless nights and even started skipping his meals at times because he couldnt get off from Khushi's thoughts. He missed her officially and just hoped the one month gets over really soon and she comes back to him. She accepting him wholeheartedly , he can still wait but he needed her beside him at the moment which could at least drive off his loneliness.
Arnav Singh Raizada never felt so dependent on anyone like he was at the moment for his wife and Son. He only kept seeing Khushi and Arsh's pics on his laptop day and night in his room, leaving almost 80% of his work on the Manager to handle. He would sit alone without anyone's disturbance and all this was noticed by Nani and Anjali who felt for him and his condition hoping everything will sort out one day.

Arsh was playing in the craddle while Khushi was busy making breakfast for her father.Not that she was all happy here. She too missed Arnav and in these few days she had realised her life is incomplete without him. Though she didnt call him directly much, she still was in touch with Anjali and always checked if Arnav was fine and took his medicines on time or not , if he goes to work regularly or not , and if he eats properly or not. Anjali didnt lie to her. She did tell Khushi how Arnav was ignoring his work these days, how he skipped meals sometimes stating he wasnt hungry and how he spent time all alone in his room just watching her pics with the baby. These updates did make Khushi sad and happy too at the same point. Sad because she didnt like to see Arnav in this state. He was such a strong man and the current traits he showed in the absence of his wife and son was so weak. She was happy knowing how much he missed her and the baby. She knew he would be missing Arsh too much because whatever he did until now was all for their baby. But she never thought he can miss his wife to this extent. He needed her and that was so much proved from this point. She too wished to go back to Delhi and live with him as soon as she can but she cannot cut down her days here which she will not keep getting again and again in life.
She heard Prachi screaming on the phone to someone and it was clear to Khushi, the person was no one else but NK, Prachi's husband.
Prachi: NK you cant do this to me. I really wish we should talk and sort things. NK? NK You there? Hello?
The call was cut and Prachi was more dissatisfied with the way NK was behaving with her. The Divorced was already filed and the procedures were still going on. Though Prachi didnt wanted to get seperated from NK she still had no choice because NK was no longer interested to get her back in his life.
She sat on Couch beside Arsh's craddle when Khushi came out serving her the Coffee. Arsh was watching his Mom and then his Aunt too but not that happily.
Khushi: Did Jeejaji cut the call?
Prachi: Yes. As usual. He is not even interested to talk to me Khushi. I am really worried if this continues I will never be able to return back to him.
Khushi: Prachi dont lose hopes. I am sure everything will be alright.
Prachi; You telling me that? Only because everything is the best in your life Khushi, doesnt mean my life will be the same too.
Khushi: Why are you saying like that Prachi? Even I have faced such days of helplessness months back and that too when I had no one to support me, but things did work out. And I believe even you will feel the same some day.
Prachi: I dont think so. You have everything now Khushi, a baby, a name tag of being a Raizada bahu and a so called husband who has started liking you. But look at me, I have nothing today. Whatever I ever had, I screwed it up. I couldnt handle my affair with Arnav and not even my marriage with NK.
Khushi was a bit uncomfortable when Prachi made her realise about the affair that she had with Arnav. May be it was a wrong discussion at this point of time because being Arnav's wife she didnt wish to give ears to his past that too when it was linked with her own sister. She tried to get up but Prachi made her sit again.
Prachi: Sometimes I think about the wrong I did with Arnav and then I realise what would have happened if I had never killed that baby of ours. Wished I had told him I was pregnant .. May be he would have accepted me and married me. Imagine Khushi, I would have had almost a 3 year kid by now.
Khushi felt absolutely wrong hearing this. She could even imagine all that.
Prachi: Its so hard to get such possessive husband these days. But all these qualities you will find in Arnav and it will remain in him for the entire life. His passion , his madness to make things his way, his commanding attitude, his
Khushi interrupted her.
Khushi: You dont need to tell me what qualities my husband has Prachi. I know him. I have spent time with him more than you and he shared a relationship for.
Prachi : But that doesnt mean you know him better than me. What I and Arnav shared you both never did.
Khushi easily knew what she was talking about. It was the Physical needs which she talked and Khushi didnt like it at all.
Khushi: Enough Prachi. Its no use to talk all that now. He is my husband and you are still in the midst of your own divorce issues with Nk. You should concentrate on that rather than showing me how superior you are in knowing my husband.
Prachi could see the possessivness growing in Khushi's heart for Arnav.
Khushi: And who said things will remain the same Prachi? A day will come when me and Arnav will sort all differences between us and unite forever.
Prachi: How? How will this happen? Seeing your attitude I dont think you have even forgiven Arnav yet.
Khushi: I have Prachi. I have forgiven him . Its just that I wanted some distance between us to understand what we both actually want from each other. I know how much he is suffering without me and Arsh and my condition is the same here. This seperation has made me realise many things but its of no use to share with you.
Khushi picked Arsh in her arms and walked inside her room. Prachi didnt follow her. She was just a confused soul today who was sandwiched between her jealousy seeing Khushi Arnav happy life and her own Divorce issues with NK. She sometimes really acted wierd and messed up in thoughts like she showed today before Khushi. Shashi was observing all this from a distance and he was happy to know the outcome of this little arguement between his daughters. So one thing was clear. Khushi had started loving Arnav just like he did. It was only some time she needed here with her father and sister so that she can realise it to full extent.

2 weeks later
Anjali had called Khushi and while discussing about Arnav, she couldnt help from hiding Arnav being sick.
Khushi: Kya? He is not well?
Anjali: Yes Khushi. He had fever from past 2 days and you know how these days he is not treating himself any good. The Dr said he needs some rest which he is taking at the present but I think all he needs is to have you and Arsh beside him.
Khushi was very upset and she just tried to hold her emotions before Anjali on the call.
Khushi: I am sure he is still skipping his meals and medicines.
Anjali: He does that sometimes. I force him still but not everytime I can do that Khushi. He hardly listens to me.
Khushi: Let me call him now and take his class. I cant believe he is acting like a Kid.
Anjali: Fine. Take care of Arsh and come back soon Khushi.
Khushi cut the call and dialed Arnav's number. She was not at all happy with his ignorance towards his health and she thought of lashing at him for being like this. The moment he answered the call and heard his weak voice, all the anger that she had for him was out of the window.
Arnav: Khushi? Kaisi ho?
She tried her best to control the weakness for him.
Khushi : Di. She told me about your fever.
Arnav: Uhh. I am fine now. Really.
He was finding it hard to talk because of the serious headache he had got since morning today and it was clear from his tone that he was still unwell.
She was just holding her tears as she heard his pale voice, he really seemed ill just like Anjali had informed her about. He never thought she would take his health so seriously. He could feel her holding her soft cries so that he doesnt know it. But was it easy for her to hide it from him? Sometimes even silence spoke better than words when people are in love. Same was their case. He pressed the phone on his ear.
Arnav :Khushi I'm Fine.. Main theek hoon ..OK! Please mat ro...
His assurance made her cry even more and this time he could hear it clearly.
Arnav: Khushi Bas..STOP!!
His throat ached with pain as he heard her sobs.
Arnav: Khushi Rona Band Karo!! .. Khushi main... KHUSHI I LOVE YOU!!!
He had confessed her this even before but today , it was the first time she could feel it by heart. She smiled weakly in the middle of the cries. She wanted to respond back to his such a lovely confession but she couldnt.
Arnav: Sorry. I. I just. Khushi Stop crying please or else. .. Or else I will come there taking the next flight to wipe those tears. Samjhi? Main sach mein aajaunga. (I will really come there)
Khushi: Toh aa jaayiye naa. (Then come)
She replied back in a pleading tone which gave Arnav the shock of his life. She was calling him there? She really did? Was she mising him? What was going in her heart that she wanted him to come to Germany?
Arnav: Are you serious?
He still wished to confirm it first. Khushi wiped her tears slowly not wanting to ignore their distances any longer.
Khushi : Arsh misses you. And.
Arnav: And?
He wanted to hear that next name who misses him , very desperately.
Khushi: And .
She paused unable to reveal it all on the phone like this/
Arnav : And who Khushi? I am waiting to know it from you.
Khushi: Paapa
She purposely lied which was easily caught by Arnav but he remained quiet not arguing on that.
Khushi: Paapa wanted some advise on his business. He wont mind if you come here to meet us. If you are busy then
Arnav: I am reaching tomorrow.
He assured without her need of describing .
Arnav: Tell paapa and Arsh , I miss them too and they wont have to stay long to see me before them.
Khushi smiled and held her happiness controlled within her not to reveal it to him.
Khushi: And your fever?
Arnav: Dont worry about it. Once I see my loved ones, it will be fine only then.
As if she didnt know that. He cut the call asking her to take care of herself and Arsh. Today he could finally feel relieved and little assured that she missed him too like he did, she Loved him too like he did. !! Now all he had to do was make the bookings and leave for Germany to see his wife and SOn and get them back .
