Back in the Raizada Mansion, in the dead hour of the night, someone crept downstairs and walked to the unlocked room. He stood in complete silence as he saw the sleeping figures, one on the bed and one on the couch. The tiny little girl had been fast asleep in her own bedroom. With a sly smile, he shut the door and crept towards the study, with the spare key of the room he had managed to flick the previous morning. Unlocking the door, he crept inside, and his lips twitched into a wicked smile. Vinod Raizada finally succeeded in gaining a stealthy entry to Akaash's study room. He switched on a dim light and looked at the table in the middle of the room. He had set his sight on the confidential papers in Akaash's table drawer just the previous week, and learnt that the papers were about a partnership project with Gupta Industries. However, before he could go through the entire content, Kavya had seen him in the room and asked him to play with her, to which he obliged, in exchange of a promise of not letting anyone know about his little visit to the study. She had happily agreed and made him carry her around to house on his back. What a small price to pay!He walked up to the table with a confident smile and pulled the drawer handle, only to find out that it would open. "F**k" he cursed, and began to look around for the key to the drawer. He looked for the drawer key in the side cabinet, at the book shelf and even under the table to check if there was a false bottom. He bent down and looked under the table and stretched his hand out to check for the key. "errrmm" someone cleared their throat and Vinod froze. Slowly, he looked up and saw Akaash standing at the door, looking as angry as a bull in a china shop.
Vinod tried to utter something, but unfortunately for him, his voice cracked and he choked. "What are you doing in my study?" Akaash said, with the anger evident in his voice. "Err, I err... I wasn't feeling sleepy... so I thought..." "So you thought you would sneak into my study? Right?" Akaash's tone switched on to sarcasm, and he continued, "Give me one good reason why I should not throw you out of the house, or have you arrested, at this very moment?" Vinod gulped in fear. "No Akaash Beta, you're misunderstanding me. I did not intend to do anything bad. I was errr.. just..." "ENOUGH!" Akaash yelled. Then taking a calm breath, he said, "Arnav will be back in two days. I think he would be the right person to deal with you. Till then, you will be staying in the hotel. And don't worry, I know you're broke. I'll manage your expense. But you will not be staying here." Akaash walked to his desk and called for one of the servants over the intercom, telling him to pack Vinod Raizada's bag and to have him dropped at the hotel. "Good bye, and good riddance" Akaash said, while he stood standing in front of his slimy uncle, keeping an eye on him till he was sent out of the house.
"Akaash?" Payal called out to him when he entered the bedroom. She had woken up to hear some noise in the house. Akaash just looked at her as she asked him what happened. He told her the entire episode of what just happened a few minutes back. "You did the right thing" she said in a soft tone, and he just smiled at her. Moments passed in silence. Slowly, his eyes travelled over her form while she sat leaning against the headrest. She looked beautiful in the dim moonlight. A sudden rush shot through him and he stood up to walk to the bed. Payal felt numb as he sat next to her, and surprisingly she felt his warmth very comforting. He took her hands in his and kissed it. Payal shut her eyes. She knew she shouldn't be forgiving him so easily for what he had done five years back. But all these months of staying with him made her realise that he really did care for her, and love her. She felt her skin getting heated as his lips travelled up her arm, to her shoulder blades and to her neck. "Akaash, please" she spoke in a soft tone, not admitting the fact that she too was relishing the intimacy. He parted away suddenly. "I'm sorry, I din't mean to... I'm sorry. Please don't be mad at me" he said apologetically.
Payal looked into his eyes and felt guilty looking at his pain there. She winced when the memory flooded back to her about a similar incident that took place months back. Both of them initially slept on the same bed. But one night, desire shot through him so much that he could not resist turning to her side and kiss her sleeping form. Those were the initial days of marriage where she had still not trusted him. And when he touched her so intimately, he just could not stop his hands from roaming over her. That was when her eyes had shot open and had clearly asked him not to touch her. "Your touch disgusts me, Akaash" she had told him. Presently, she could see that her sentence still haunted him. It was true that she had suffered, but she loved him too much to see him getting hurt every day. And maybe it was time that she forgot the past and moved on. After all, no one was happy by dwelling on to the past. To get her thoughts across to him, she held his hand as he was getting up to go back to the couch. He turned to look at her, and by the time he could actually realize anything, she was standing, pressing her soft body against her and kissing him.
When she parted from him, he saw her moist eyes. "Payal, we don't have to..." "Akaash..." She spoke up, cutting his sentence in between. "I love you. And even if you broke my heart, I love you with all of those broken pieces. That warm fuzzy feeling never died, in spite of what happened years ago. There has not been a single moment where I haven't thought about you. I'm just scared that it will happen again, that my heart will break again. And this time, I won't be able to live" Akaash placed a finger on her lip. "I will never ever do anything that may hurt you or Kavya. Back then, I was too young and careless. And I do feel guilty about it. And if it were possible, I would try to make things right. But I just cannot undo what's done. I need you to trust me Payal." She cupped his face. "I trust you Akaash, and love you even more. And tonight, I want to be your wife in all true senses, and mark a new start of our lives." Saying this, she kissed him. It only took a second or two for him to respond to her kiss, and in moments, he had her lay flat on the bed. But before he could proceed, he looked at her in apprehension. "Payal... I.." "I know. I love you" She said, and she pulled him closer and kissed him with all the love she had for him. Now, there was no more stopping. They made love and consummated their wedding, after which they slept blissfully in each other's arms.
Somewhere in Greece, a young woman felt as though she was trapped between two handsome men at the dinner table. Khushi kept stabbing her food in her plate and kept tossing the salad serving, while the two men were deeply involved in talking business. She hated that and was bored to death. She discouraged work-talk at the dinner table. If it had been Rohan and her Dad doing business talk, she would have chided them for their ill-mannerism. But she couldn't possibly do that here. She was still lost in playing with her food, when she felt a hand on her knee. She stiffened when she felt Arnav drawing faint circles on her thigh, while his hand kept moving upwards. She looked at him, and was surprised that his eyes were fixed on Antonio, and in no way anyone would guess that he was making her squirm in her seat with his skilful fingers. He moved his hand away and Khushi had to bite her tongue from letting out a frustrated groan. He heard her sigh in frustration and smiled to himself. He was tempted to carry her upstairs and have himself buried inside of her, while she moaned and clawed at him. The image was so intense that he began to feel hot. He had to keep his mind away from her, and continued his boring talk with Antonio.
After dinner, Antonio asked Arnav to join him for a drink, and Arnav obliged. He had to distract himself from Khushi. He could risk being close to her. Khushi walked upstairs and was slightly disappointed that Arnav did not accompany her to the room. "He's come here for some work, not on a honeymoon" She thought and blushed immediately. "What do people do on a honeymoon?" Her mind was filled with some thoughts which she wouldn't dare to think in Arnav's presence. He always knew what she was thinking by just looking at her, and God forbid if he caught her thinking about how hot they would be in bed, he would just practically just show her what she thought, and would definitely excel her expectations. She had to stop thinking so sinfully. She picked her clothes for the night, her mind still on Arnav, and went for a shower to the bathroom. Her cheeks flushed to a shade of pink as her mind wandered about how her day passed with Arnav. She felt her knees turning to jelly as she wished he would be in here, showering with her. "Gosh! What am I thinking?" she said to herself, almost slapping her mind.
Only when she wiped herself dry and wore the clothes she'd picked, did she curse herself. She had not known about sharing the room with Arnav and had thought that she would have her own privacy. And that was why she packed her satin pajama shorts and a strapped camisole. Of course, she did bring the peignoir, but it would not help much since it was sheer and short. "Sh*t!" she muttered when she looked at her reflection in the bathroom mirror. She looked as though she was dressed to seduce him to bed. There was only one way out. Get into bed before Arnav saw her dressed in such an outfit, and get out of bed before he woke up in the morning. Once she was in bed, he was not going to switch on the light anyway. And if she covered herself with a quilt up to her neck, he wasn't going to have a look at her. It seemed like a brilliant idea. Patting herself on her shoulder, she followed her plan.
Several hours later, Khushi was still wide awake, and was lying in bed staring at the ceiling. Arnav had not yet come back. "It's not like you cannot sleep without having him next to you!" Just then the door opened and she shut her eyes rolling on her side, pretending to sleep. She heard him moving around in the room then in the bathroom. A few moments later he emerged and she felt the bed shift with his weight. "I know you're not sleeping, Khushi. People who are asleep, do not breathe like that", he said as he settled himself under the quilt. She felt the bed shift and he got close enough so she felt warmth of his body at her back without coming in contact, then a hand on her shoulder. "Are you scared of me, Khushi?" he asked with concern and sincerity in his voice. "No, I'm not" she finally said after a prolonged silence. "Good. You shouldn't. We'll be married soon, honey." He said with a smile in his voice and various thoughts running in his head. He was already hard with wanting her, knowing that her body was inches away from his. She could hear the smile in his voice and was sure he was smiling himself. "Soon. Not yet married. So you can keep those thoughts in your head all to yourself" He chuckled and it sounded surprisingly sexy in the dark.
She was still backing him, and he was hardly sleepy. He locked her hair between his fingers, and felt her silky tresses, as they slid down her neck and vanished under the quilt. Then, breaking the silence, he said, "Antonio told me to tell you that we will all be going to his island tomorrow!" Khushi rolled towards him, just inches away from his face and smiled in glee. "Island? He owns an island?" "Hell, this is completely unfair" thought Arnav, as he caught the scent of her skin. He was sure it smelled like lavender. Also, knowing that her beautiful lush body was inches from him near had him undone. Surprisingly he was able to keep his voice from cracking when he spoke. "Yeah, he does" Arnav said nonchalantly, as his thoughts went wilder. It wasn't that long ago that he'd been on top of the gorgeous woman lying next to him now. Nothing could compare to the desire he felt when he touched her and felt her move under him. "Go slow, Arnav, Go slow", he reminded himself silently. He'd promised Rohan and Mr. Gupta.
"I'm so excited about tomorrow" She replied, thinking it was a stupid thing to say but she was a little tongue tied at his closeness. She could feel the heat from his body and they were about six inches apart. It would be so easy to reach out and touch him. "I bet you are", he grinned, "Now go to sleep Khushi. It sounds like we have a full day tomorrow and you're going to need your rest because I'm going to be all over you like white on rice." As it was, it was taking everything he had not to flatten her onto her back and seduce her. "Oh." She said trying to stop the thrill that shot through her. She was distracted enough being in the same bed as him. Suddenly she felt his hand on her cheek with his thumb caressing her temple. Then it disappeared just as quick, as he rolled away from her. "Sleep sweetheart"
That was easy for him to say. Who could sleep with their heart going a hundred miles a minute? Then something occurred to her. It was odd that it hadn't sooner, but he had her all in knots. "Errr... Arnav?" "Um-hmm?" "Does Rohan know about our... errr... sleeping arrangement?" "What do you think?" "I think he'd flip if he knew." "Yeah, probably." He answered letting himself smile. Rohan seemed like the distinguished gentlemen but if he knew that Arnav was sharing a bed with his sister, he wouldn't hesitate to put his fist through his jaw. Khushi's voice brought him out of his thoughts "Arnav, then why are we sharing..." "Go to sleep, honey." He interrupted. Khushi noticed that his voice was oddly quiet, not in volume, but tone, almost as if it was hard for him to talk.
An hour passed, but both of them were wide awake, and were feigning to be asleep. Arnav knew that she was still awake as he could feel the bed shift while she tossed and turned. Some more minutes passed, and Arnav could finally hear her deep breathing, indicating that she was now asleep. He turned to look at her and almost threw his morals out of the window. She had thrown the quilt off her, due to the rise in temperature despite the full blast of the AC. Greece was most definitely hot. He himself had gotten rid of his t-shirt, and had no option but to keep his pyjamas on. Or else, he would be tempted to do so much more, causing the heat in the room to rise. As it was, he could see her flawless skin in the dimly lit room, and his fingers itched to touch her all over. Her nightdress revealed much more than it was supposed to, as one of her straps had reached down her elbows. Her long legs were too much of a temptation and those satin shorts she wore was not much of a help in covering her. He knew that if she had known about their sleeping arrangements, she would have brought some other night dress. Not that he was complaining. He loved the sight before his eyes. She looked like a fine dish, waiting to be savoured. He touched her shoulder with the tip of his finger and grazed the soft skin of her arm. When he reached her elbow, he pulled the strap up and covered her with the quilt. He couldn't seduce her while she slept like a log. But that was least of all problems. Images of her scantily clad body danced in front of his eyes, keeping him awake till four in the morning. It would have been easy to remove his pyjamas and then move his naked body next to hers. It would take a minute to seduce her and then have some mind-numbing sex with her. Just thinking about it started the aching in his groin. He reached over and caressed the smooth skin of her face and placed a chaste kiss on her forehead. She didn't wake up with that, but she released a soft moan that turned him hard as a rock. Sighing, he turned her back to her, and began to count sheep in his head, hoping to fall asleep.
