Chapter 6-PROMISES
The next day morning taani and rey got ready wih rey stealing glances at her and taani trying to ignore him.They have a flight to catch in 2 hours,they went downstairs only to meet Rey's parents and Taani's parents too assembled to bless the newly married couple for their wedding life in mumbai.Taani's parents were sad that she is no more their daughter,she is his wife,Rey's wife.But they were happy that taani is with rey
and he is gonna take care of her.Taani and Rey were touching their feet for blessings.Taani's parents took rey aside as taani was talking with her MIL.Rey already assured them yesterday only when they told him about taani and shivam and he told them that he would take care of her and love her until his last breathe,no matter whatever the situations maybe.
TM-Beta!We know you will look after her well and take care of her,because you love,but we just wanna tell you that she may act immature and stubborn sometimes,but dont take it to your heart.She will love you beta once she will come to know how much love her.But until then she maybe harsh,dont feel bad and try to avoid her.We know we made a mistake by not telling you about shivam,but we ourselves dint know she was that serious.
TD-Rey!It must be difficult for you to act normal with you as you are heart-broken now,but beta she needs you now,she is so shattered and only you can mend her with your love and care.You have to stay strong for her.We may sound selfish to you but all we want is her happiness,they both told him with teary eyes.
Rey-Dad!Mom! even both are like my mom dad na?Dont you trust me?I will never let shed a single drop of tear.I will never hurt and i will never let anyone hurt her.I will try my best to keep her happy i know she isnt happy with me but its okay i will keep her happy as much as i can.Mom!You dont worry ok?she is my life,how can i avoid her and get irritated?I promise you both that i will be very patient until she wants to share something with me,i wont force her for anything,he said as happy tears descended down her parents eyes.
Rey-Ok now smile? i dont want happy tears also,he said as he wiped out their tears.
They both hugged him feeling so elated and proud that he is the one for their daughter.
TD-Not that we dont trust you beta!But im just worried you know,a father will always worry for his daughter no matter how much she grow up,she is still a baby for us.Im so proud of myself that i had made the right choice for my daughter's life partner.god bless you both,he said still hugging him.Both of them thanked him as he assured both of them that everything is gonna be okay.Taani and her in-laws were watching all this as taani'eyes moistened at this scene.Though she couldnt hear
what they were speaking about but when she saw rey wiping her parents tears and asking them to smile,she was more than happy to see her parents and him like this.As her eyes moistened,her in-laws hugged her and told her to take care of their son.Finally all of them bid goodbye to the newly wed ones as their sat in the airport taxi ready to leave.Taani and Rey waved at them and assured that they will call them
as soon as they reach Mumbai.
The flight journey went without them talking with each other except for the time when the plane was taking off.
Taani held her husband's hand tightly as the plane leaped at high speed.Rey kept her palm of hers squeezing it lightly to assure that he is with her.As soon the plane was in the sky,she became normal and looked at their hands.She looked up at him to get drown in his chocolate brown which were already staring into her beautiful eyes.They both withdrew their hands not before a long intense eyelock which was broken when taani tried to avert her gaze.
They both headed towards their residence,as soon as they came out of the airport.The journey in the taxi remained silent.Getting down the taxi,rey paid the driver as taani oogled over the high buildings of mumbai.Rey chuckled looking at her child like expressions admiring the city.She has never been to mumbai.
Rey-Taani chale?,he asked her pulling up the luggage.
Taani nodded as they entered a classic apartment complex
with garden-area,children playing and old people walking.She immedaitely liked the atmosphere.Taani had hand-luggage with her as rey managed two large suitcases.They went upto 3rd floor of the apartment.Rey pulled up the luggage and both of them stood infront of their door.As rey was busy looking in his bag for keys,taani stared in aww at their house plate,which says "TaaRey Nivas" in bold-italic.Rey saw her staring at the name plate as he looked up at her with keys in his hand ready to open.Taani and Rey entered into the house stepping their
respective right-foot in the house.Taani was admiring the house,as it was according to her taste.Whereas her husband
stood their adoring her.She looked simple yet amazingly beuatiful in her simple jeans which were flauting her long legs
and a sleevless floral top exposing her milky white arms and her soft silky hair flying making him fall for more and more.
How can someone be so simple yet so adorable?he thought.Taani shook his shoulder as he wasnt paying attention what she was telling.
Taani-Rey!Rey!,she said breaking rey from his trance.Shivers ran down his spine as she touched him.
Rey-Yeah taani?Sorry i was thinking something.Tum kuch bol rahi thi ?
Taani-Ha!You stay in this house before i mean before mar--ria--ge?she said stammering about marriage part.
Rey though sad when he heard her stammering about marriage,but brushed away his sadness understanding she needs time.
Rey-No! I recently bought this house for you,i mean for us,as the house in which i used to stay was small.It was only 1BHK and this is 2BHK.So you liked it? he asked fingers crossedas he personally made sure this house is according to her state.
Taani smiled at him and was surprised when he told he bought this house for her.
Taani-Its beautiful,i always this kind of house,she said smiling at him probably the first time.
Rey's heart swelled with joy as she smiled at him and told him she liked the house.She is talking comfortably with him first time,that made him build hopes for their equation.Taani went into the balcony and stood their letting the breeze caress her face and watching the view.Rey followed her smiling at her.
They both unpacked their stuff as rey decided stay in other bedroom leaving the master one to her.He dint wanna take things so fast,he made up his mind that he is gonna take everything at slow pace giving her time to get comfortable with him.Taani also dint ask him to stay in the same bedroom.She also wanted to give their relation time as she is yet not ready for anything now.As they had lunch in the airport itself,they took some ample rest after the journey.Later in the evening both stood there in the balcony,witnessing their first sunset after marriage.They stood there as rey hoping to win her love some or the other day whereas taani hoping to give their relation a chance.
