Prologue
I am not even going to think about it. He laughed at me when he said, "You can tell me." I wanted to break his nose, but I thought against it because I had already did that before. I don't want any charges laid on me. So, I swallowed my pride and stood up. I didn't curse him out, I didn't argue with him, and I definitely didn't break any of his body parts. I just left him alone in the utter darkness.
Where was I going? I had no idea, but it had to be somewhere away from him. I was boiling mad; and if I see him, I might explode. Just thinking about him made my blood bristle.
The hallway was getting darker and darker; I had no idea that it would be possible, but it was, and now I saw exactly what a blind person saw... nothing. I am tired, thirty, and scared out of my mind. I am scared of seeing nothing, and I just wanted to go back, but I couldn't. The worst thing is that I do not know where the hell I am, and where the hell was I going. Idiots all over my building stayed inside their house instead of coming outside and calming one another till the lights come back. I hate them all.
I really wish, I thought, that someone were with me. Though, I regretted wishing that due to the fact that someone was breathing powerfully behind me. I stopped walking and stood there like a statue. Can this day get any worse? I think I am crying, but I feel no tears streaming down and no sound of "boo-hoo's" come from me. Someone is there, and it's coming closer. My heart skips a beat every time I hear a step approach.

Any minute now, my heart is going to jump out of my chest. My breathing gets harder when I felt someone right behind me. Two hands grab my waist and twirl me around.
"Zara," I heard Louis' voice before me. I let out a sigh of relief and quickly pulled away from him. Should I be happy that it was Louis and not some other creep, or should I not be?
"Louis, are you planning to give me a heart attack? Was mocking me not enough?" I barked.
"I'm sorry," he apologized softly.
"I don't want your apology. Just go away." I took a step back again, only to hit my sweaty back against the wall. Fudges! He took this as a benefit and caged me between his own body and one of his arms.
"You gotta forgive me, Zara, for I'm apologizing to you," he cooed softly to my ear. His words were like a lullaby as it intoxicated me, making my whole body melt.
"It was wrong to laugh at you, and I'm giving you my words it'll never happen again."
His minty, cool breath embraced me into a hug and played with it. I'm going crazy, I thought. I was going to open my mouth and say something, but the darkness was lifted with the hallways all-light up. Louis' face was still as close as before as if he didn't mind the closeness of our bodies. I did.
"Fine," I said agreeing with him. I secretly hope this would get him away.
"Good." He removed his arm to make way for me, and I quickly rushed back to my house. I heard his chuckle echoing a little down the hall. Crazy, he's just crazy.
