The Protector...

Why did he protect Kriya...shes not frm Royal family...

My results are tomorrow. So this might be the last time for few months till I update the next part.

Lost Princess

There was a complete silence. Rey stared at Kria.
"Kria?"
"I do-don't know. Maybe , he just saw that happening and helped a small kid!"
"They don't go anywhere till they sense danger for the royal blood Kria , and he does not go anywhere easily."
"Rey..."
"This can only mean that your a royal blood!"
"Rey , maybe the protector wanted me to live cause I might be the witness of a vampire v/s werwolf war!"
"Shut up! This is not some great history, which needs a witness."
Rey closed his eyes and then he opened them again.
"Kria what were the injuries you got when you came out of the cage?"
"Few scratches here and there."
"Damn! Why didn't I notice."
"Rey...calm down. What's the big deal even if I am a royal blood or something?"
"Kria , werwolves don't go on hunting a stupid little kid for years if they don't want to shred that person into pieces. Wait , let me see the vision again."
"I can't do this."
"Please Kria."
Kria closed her eyes. Rey placed his lip on her forehead , as those memories played in her mind.
"These werwolves belong to the strongest clan Kria. They are stronger than the ones in the cage."
"Why are they behind me?"
"I don't know. Even if you were a royal blood , they don't go on hunting princesses who weren't a part of the war."
"Then..why me?"

Rey was speaking to somebody on his phone. Kria looked at him and slid her hands around his arms from behind.
He stiffened. Kria closed her eyes resting her head on his back.
"We'll come to the court."
Rey cuts the call and held kria's hand pulling her in front.
"If anybody had told me in the morning that I would kiss Reyaansh Singhaania , I would have laughed and called the person an idiot!"
"So you want to say that your attracted to me?"
"Sure I am! But I didn't know that you were attracted to me even before I became a vampire."
Rey stared at her.
"Huh?"
"You have such a bad memory."
"Umm , wait."
After a while , he smirked.
"Oh ya..your that annoying girl from the orphanage? Who was scolding swayam?"
Kria rolled her eyes.
"I am not used to staying alone. Few kids there loved to tease me."
"And you couldn't fight back?"
"Of course I could. I wasn't allowed. I don't know why , me and swayam were always given priority in that orphanage. Maybe because I was with Swayam , I used to get it. Nobody used to speak to me so much , and when did , it was always taunts , that I am fat ugly etc etc. I was a teen and I did mind that , so whenever Swayam would go out , I was alone by myself."
"You were an outcast?"
"In the orphanage , Yes! In school No!"
"Gosh , you are so confusing. But let's talk later , we need to go to the court."
Kria nods.

They reach the court and enter together. There was no one except Ranvijay and the protector.
"What's going on Rey? Why did you call him?"
The protector looked at Kria , who looked back. She looked away in a second.
"Rey? I am asking you something."
"Why did you save her?" , Rey asked ignoring his dad's question.
The protector looked closely at Kria once again.
"I was told to protect her."
Kria noticed that even Ranvijay was now listening.
"So why didn't you protect her that night when she was dying?"
"She had to become a vampire and your highness you did the work."
"Why her?"
"The answer lies with her. I am not allowed to answer others about a person's identity. Forgive me."
"You may leave."
The protector nods and went.

The three were now sitting. Kria looking at the two of them , who were thinking.
The door opened and Sharon came in.
"Now why do you want to punish her?"
"I am not being punished."
"Oh!"
"Kria...what is your surname again?"
"Ghai.."
Ranvijay went to another room. Sharon sat beside kria. He came out with a book.
He handed Kria the book. She looked at the lock in the book and opened it.
"Oh my god! Kria..how did you open the lock?" , Sharon asked
"It wasn't locked."
"It is locked and only the prin..." , Rey was speaking but stopped. Seeing Rey so quiet , Ranvijay spoke.
"Kria Ghai! You are the princess of the strongest clan of the vampires."
No one spoke. Kria just stared at the three.
"Your parents , they lost you in a war. You were taken by the werwolves. But the protectors took you away and gave you to a family. I guess they died and the protector found you and took you to the orphanage where Swayam was kept."
"If they could find me? Why couldn't my parents find me?"
"Only the protectors know where you were and the werwolves. Actually they have a power which allows them to find a vampire who thought about an encounter. That is how they must have found you today."
Kria looked down.
"It's too much to handle."
Sharon held her hand.
"Where are my parents?"
"You must be knowing that Kria." , Sharon said.
Kria looked at the three.
"Yo-you mean to say the Ghai's?"
The three nod.
"I work for them..." , Kria spoke lost in her thoughts.

"Thanks for dropping me Swayam." , Kria said smiling.
"From when did you start being formal to be princess?"
"From when did you start calling me a princess?"
"From the time you became one." , he whispered.
Kria sighed.
"I want to run away. Can't I be some normal person?"
"Destiny Kria...destiny. But ya , your always going to be my sister!"
Kria smiled, swayam kissed her forehead and drove away.
She turned and saw Smriti Ghai standing there looking at her. She stiffened.
"Go-good morning ma'am."
"It's not nice to flirt with a guy whose getting engaged."
Kria looked at her confused , realization hit her.
"Oh! Sharon.." , she whispered. She looked at Smriti and spoke , "I wasn't flirting with him. He was my best friend before he became a king."
Smriti looked at Kria raising an eye. Kria shrugged and pulled her hair aside showing the bite.
The mark was still there and it would be till the time Rey doesn't remove it with his powers.
"Who did that? When?"
"Before I joined this company and Rey did that."
"Rey? Why?"
"I do-don't thi-think th-that's important ma'am. I need to go."
She went inside the building.

Smriti entered Gautam's cabin. He was reading a file.
"Gautam!"
"Yes?"
"Do you know the girl you hired few months back?"
"Kria?"
"Yes! She is one of us."
Gautam looked at her , through the class door he looked at Kria's cabin. She was working.
"So?"
"She knows Swayam!"
Gautam looked at her.
"And even her name is Kri-kria. Could she be..."
"Smriti we had spoken to Swayam , his best friend wasn't royal blood at all. She can't be."
"But he called her princess.."
"He said he treats her like his sister , he can give her nicknames."
"But..."
"Enough smriti. Our daughter is NOT living an orphan's life."

Kria was working , when her phone rang. She kept it on speaker.
"Hello.."
"Hello Kria or should I say Princess Kria?" , an unrecognizable voice spoke.
Kria looked up from her file.
"Sorry wrong number!"
"Aren't you the girl who Sharon lived with?"
"No."
"Stop lying sweetheart. I know your every move."
"Are you nuts seriously? I mean are you like some stupid out of a movie kidnapper? Cause one this is not a movie. Two , we are no humans. Three , I am more powerful than whoever you are. Four you are stupid!"
"Gosh kria! You spoiled the fun." , Sharon spoke.
"How did you change your voice?"
"Cloth and spoke with a heavy voice. Not a big deal."
"Seriously Sharon , you are really dumb at times."
"Shut up! There is no rule book saying Vampires are ought to be forever serious."
Kria laughed.
"Ya there ain't! Anyways I need to work."
"Okay okay! Just go to your office's reception kay?"
"Sure , but why?"
"Just go."
"Okay.."
Kria cuts the call and went. The receptionist saw her and handed her a packet.
She bought the book out of the packet. It was the same book she opened.
She kept it in the packet again , and went inside. Unaware that somebody was looking at her.

Few days later.
The Shekhawat's had thrown a party everybody was there.
Kria was with Sharon speaking , when Rey came from behind. He stood behind kria and whispered in her ear.
"Let's go out."
"But party.."
"I'll handle." , Sharon spoke giggling. Rey rolled his eyes and took Kria.
---
"She is a pretty girl." , Smriti spoke to Anjali while looking at kriyaansh and Sharon.
"Indeed."
"So..is reyaansh in love with her?"
"I asked him and he is like we don't have a soul to love. It's just attraction."
"Happens!"
"Kria is a great girl though. Sharon's best friend , Swayam's sister , and maybe my to be daughter-in-law?"
Smriti smiled sadly.
"I wish she was here."
Anjali stiffened. She deserved to know.
"She is here Smriti. She is.." , Anjali said. Smriti looked at her.
"In your heart."
"I wonder how she looks? She'll remain a normal human being for as long as she lives."
"She must be extremely gorgeous Smriti."

Rey took Kria outside.
"Why are we here?"
"You know attractions are not something I can control and your looking gorgeous today so.."
He kissed her. Kria replied back. They heard a noise and pulled back looking around.
Gautam and Ranvijay were coming out.
"Somebody has to interrupt." , Rey muttered , while Kria giggled.
"Rey , why didn't you remove your mark till now?" , Kria asked suddenly.
"What mark?"
Kria puts her hair aside and showed the mark.
"Uhh that mark.."
"Yeah! That mark."
Rey leaned forward and puts his lips on that mark.
"Rey!" , Kria spoke trying to push him away. He pulled back.
"That mark's not going to go."
"Why?"
"Because your mine and this marks you mine!"
"I thought kissing it removes it.." , Kria muttered.
"Na!"

Gautam and Ranvijay came out. They were talking when.
"Isn't that Rey?" , Gautam asked , while looking at Kria and Rey who were talking too closely.
"Yes! My son is totally into her." , Ranvijay spoke.
"I guess he is attracted to her."
"Yeah he is but too much. He stopped me from giving her a punishment and he gave her a small punishment for something she did."
"Looks like she has been punished a lot."
"First because she had strangled two guys , who were actually responsible for something bad. Then she got a punishment for helping Sharon , well that's what I thought , I hadn't known she was new to the vampire world."
"What did the two guys do?"
Ranvijay wasn't sure whether he should tell Gautam. Hell would break loose after Gautam would get to know that Kria is his daughter.
"I don't think I should be the one telling you."
"Hmm.."
Gautam turned and saw Rey kissing Kria's neck.
"Too much of PDA!"
Ranvijay laughed.
"Let's give them their privacy." , Gautam continued.
Ranvijay smirked , knowing that if he knew Kria was his daughter he would not be giving the two their 'privacy'.

Rey's phone rang and he picked it up.
"Okay. I'll be there."
"What's wrong?"
"Somebody broke some rule , I need to go to the court. Inform dad , please?"
Kria nods and Rey went. Kria found Ranvijay , Gautam and Rishi together.
Kria came there , before she could say.
"Kria , where is Rey?" , Ranvijay asked.
"He had to go to the court. I came here to inform you that."
Ranvijay nods.
"And Swayam?" , Rishi asked.
"With Sharon , I think so."
"Good that they are spending time together. I for a second really thought Swayam was going to call off the marriage. " , Rishi replied.
"He wouldn't have done that. He just has anger issues." , Kria said.
"You know these two guys too well." , Gautam spoke.
Kria looked at him.
"I know Swayam too well , not Rey."
"But you sure are close to Rey."
Kria looked away , slightly embarrassed.
"Uh..."
"Remember Gautam when Kria was born , we had decided that she'll marry Rey?" , Ranvijay spoke.
He looked at Kria who had her eyes wide , Rishi looked at Ranvijay who shrugged.
Gautam sighed and nods.
"How can I forget anything related to her?"
"I guess , I should go."
She turned and clashed with a guy. She recognized him to be a guy from her company.
"Sorry."
"Kria , you here?"
"I can ask you the same thing." , Kria spoke annoyed.
"I was invited. My dad works for Rishi sir."
"Oh! Cool."
"So answer , you here?"
"Why are you so interested to know the reason?"
"Curious." , He shrugged.
"Well..Sharon was my room mate once."
"Oh!"
"Now excuse me. I need to go."
She went away. She had always found this guy too irritating and would get negative vibes from him.

Smriti came out of the washroom and was passing a room when she stopped.
"Sir , they are close to her. They can take her any time." , a known voice spoke.
'It's one of the protectors." , Smriti thought to herself.
"What do you mean?" , she heard Rishi's voice.
"The werwolves are keeping an eye on her. They now even know where she works."
"So you mean to say that Kria is in grave danger from the werwolves?" , Ranvijay asked.
"Yes! They are more powerful than her , she just has the powers she got from King Rey and the powers she has since her birth. They are not enough. She needs to be given her vampire powers soon."
"We can't give her the powers neither can we tell Gautam and Smriti." , Rishi said.
Smriti saw Kria coming. She hid and saw Kria enter.
"Uncle , you called me?"
"Yes. Actually you need your powers Kria and for this we have to tell Gautam and Smriti the truth." , Ranvijay spoke.
"Bu-but I have powers..."
"They are not enough Princess." , the protector spoke.
"Your the heir to the strongest clan of vampires and still weak , they know it. They will drain you out of your powers and then kill you , so that you don't take the throne. Killing the heir would mean that the clan ends , they will get divided , and during the division , the werwolves may take advantage and win the years old war." , the protector said.
---
Gautam was speaking to Swayam congratulating him , when Smriti came.
"A king never lies Swayam!" , Smriti spoke in anger.
"Huh?" , Swayam replied confused.
"You , lied to us. You said Kria was no where near being a princess when she really is."
Swayam looked at Smriti in shock , and then sighed.
"I didn't lie to you. I didn't even know the truth that time. She behaved normal and had no visitors at all. We all , in fact Kria herself came to know that she is the lost princess when Rey saw her dream and recognized the protector."
"What are you saying Smriti and Swayam?" ,Gautam asked confused.
"I was right Gautam! Kria is our daughter , Kria is the princess. But she is in danger."
