and hey this story is supposed to be a light story...why this complications...!!!

NK isn't really getting all the footage...but for Arnav, its important to know what NK means to Khushi...because for Arnav, if Khushi likes/loves NK...he won't pursue her further and leave her to lead a happy life with NK...

as far as Khushi "replacing" Arnav goes...she hasnt and she never can. Ever since NK has made an appearance...Khushi has always referred to him as her "friend"...not "best-friend" or "fiance"...all NK is to khushi is a 'friend'. In this entire story, one common theme has been that Khushi loves her friends with all she's got...they're not different from a family for her...its one of the reasons why she's back to attend Anjali's wedding despite knowing that she'll have to face Arnav...NK is not her best friend like Arnav was but that doesnt mean that NK is not important to her, right?

Besides, as far as Khushi knows...Arnav is the man who broke her heart (even if unintentionally) and who ignored her for three years...yet...she hasn't replaced his position in her life...after that near-accident incident, Khushi ran to Arnav first to ensure his well-being and momentarily forgot about NK...doesn't that vouch for Arnav's place in her life and heart?😉

And yes...this story is, despite the misunderstandings, lighter than my other on-going story, 'beauty & the beast'...I was speaking relatively there...😊

Yeap...in such situations, Khushi will always end up choosing Arnav before NK...not because its 'love' before 'friendship' for her but because is her 'best friend' before her 'friend'.😊 The main purpose of the incident was to have Arnav's hostility towards NK go out the window...arnav will need to remain on good terms with NK...

Author's Note/ FAQ's (Part 20-21)

Thank you for all your wonderful comments guys. I have responded to them all in sections. I'm sorry if I accidentally missed a comment or something. A few common trends in the comments and my response is as follows:

--Why is NK getting more attention than Arnav-Khushi?

He's not. As much as you guys would love reading about only ArHi and much as I would love writing that...NK is an important part of Khushi's life and I can't underplay that. Everyone in this story has contributed to make Arnav-Khushi's lives what they are today may it be helping Arnav now like Akash and Arvind...or may it be interfering with their communication like Payal and Anjali or may it be providing support and being a friend like NK was to Khushi...

--Why are you not having Arnav-Khushi talk already?!

All in good time, my lovelies. Arnav needs to know two things before he goes on with the talk...One..whether or not NK has feelings for Khushi...because Arnav's course of action would have to be different based on what NK feels...if NK doesnt feel that way for her, then Arnav's job is easier but if NK does...Arnav has to be ethical and deal with the situation with more sensibility... Two, Arnav needs to know what's in Khushi's heart. Has she moved on and fallen for NK? Does she love Arnav? If she loves NK, Arnav loves her enough to step out of the way and let her live happily with the man she loves because he knows what it's like to be separated from the one you love...He needs to have those two things confirmed and then he'll launch into his plan head-first.

--When will Anjali/Payal confess about their meddling?

In all these chapters...every time Arnav and talked to Khushi regarding the topic of their feelings, its been in privacy...no one is around to hear them...as far as Anjali and Payal see, Arnav-Khushi are speaking to each other and Khushi is happily engaged to NK. At this point, digging up old graves is not on their mind...they have to first realize what their meddling has done and when that realization comes, they will fess up without any prompting from Arnav or Khushi, trust me on that.

--When will Arnav-Khushi misunderstandings clear?

Starting next chapter! Their conversation won't happen in a single go. They're both too hot-tempered and Khushi's too stubborn for that...Arnav will have to take it one step at a time with her and the first and the biggest step is in the next chapter...the next 4-5 chapters will span over their discussion/confrontations...so sit back, have faith, and enjoy.😃😉

And that's that! If there are any more clarifications you guys want, all you gotta do is ask and I'm right here to answer your queries (without giving away the story, of course) 😃 😉

I would also like to promote healthy discussions of the story guys, so if you see a reader's comment and you agree strongly or disagree strongly, please politely share your views! That's the main reason why I started the CC!

OMG~ This is such a cliff hanger! Im practically off my seat right now! :/ Argh!!! I loved the update though, so many questions, I totally understand Khushi's reticence, but at the same time, I want her to turn the tables around. I want her to challenge him! *SIGH*

As your note said, Arnav has to find out two important things before the talk happens. And this update was mostly about his finding the same... unanswered questions.

One hurdle cleared, NK doesn't love Khushi and as per NK, Khushi too doesn't love him either. It's simply an arrange marriage.

Second hurdle more like the decisive point for Arnav's further plan of action to win his Khush is to find out Khushi's feeling for NK and himself. Khushi kept running away from answering about NK speaks for itself. So the clever ASR changed the question to whether she loves him or not?

It was all good, the moment they shared in dressing room, Arnav's confession that his imagination didn't do justice to Khushi's beauty and the kiss but the moment was broken with Arnav finding the ring in Khushi's hand. And then Khushi's insecurity of Arnav's expectation for his question to be a no from Khushi...

I don't understand why we the people make thinks complicated. Simple things. Just by avoiding the talk. But I guess Khushi got hurt once and she doesn't want the same again, than again isn't that was the result of not talking and hiding there true feelings from each other.

Khushi got her answer to how Arnav got to know about her feelings for him in the past. With you dropping hints I figured it has to be him finding the dairy which Payal hid from Khushi in her room and Arnav spending all his time there after Khushi left must have found it. And that where you left us until next update.

Also, you mentioned at the end of 3 days Arnav's equation with lots of people will change I'm expecting by than arshi to be done talking and being a couple. Akash and Lavanya helping him brings them close to him but what will be his equation with Anjali and Payal? That's what I fear.

And what about Khushi, will she understand Anjali and Payal's stand of protecting her from further misery of heartbreak?
