The story is picking up its pace! I was ecstatic when I saw you'd updated CMH and then I danced around a little a la Khushi style because there were THREE (!!!) chapters waiting to be devoured.
And then my mood plummeted when you ended with that cliffhanger for chapter 17
What is the connection between Khushi's silence and Lavanya's statement? I'm going to read this story from the start again. I wonder if I've missed something.

Okay. After re-reading this story, I still cannot not figure out WHY Khushi would say she loves Shyam. In one of the flashbacks, you wrote that even Shyam was not sure what made Khushi "see the light." So there is no majboori for Khushi from his end; no threats.
If suppose Khushi knew about her medical condition, that gives her no reason to become a home wrecker in everyone's eyes. That makes no sense. She hurt them more through that act than if she'd told them she had a life-threatening condition. I'm guessing she found out about it while she was living with Lavanya.
I cannot figure out Khushi's motivation. I am clueless!
Thank god for Aakash and Anjali for keeping that little seed of doubt. I am confused with Payal's reaction, though. In the flashback, she said that she would read the truth in Khushi's eyes. How did the blankness in her eyes translate to a honest confession of love?
Oh the webs you weave and how they leave me entangled in misery. What am I missing?
