Its my kuchi puchi Anika's request(made several days agao)...but some problem creeped up alway!!
"I said... to your tables!!! NOW!!!😡",she yelled angrily and the whole team dispersed...
He shot her a glare... and got up sighing...
"Sabki solid watt lagne wali hai!! Rathod.. kab aoge tum!! ye bachche iski daant se zyada tumhari Dammit ko pyaar karte hai!!"
He sighed and left the room frustated...but before he left...she remarked.."Aap koi VIP nahi hai... i want those reports on my desk... u have an hour for that...!!",and she marched to her cabin..to be precise Rathod's cabin..
The recent new addition to their team,... Anika.. was their present acting head due to Rathod's absence..
All was going well... until Arjun came back from the secret mission..she had mingled with the rest of the team...but Arjun's sudden entry had kind of taken toll on her... She would yell every now and then..and lose her temper on a minute thing...and specially if the fault would come from Arjun's side... The others would witness a ferocious lion growling on Arjun... and to their surprise... Arjun would hear the tantrums calmly...and walk off!!
But today... it was the limit of his patience too!!
Now he definitely needed to talk to her...

He knocked...
"Come in!!",she told arrogantly...
"Tumhare reports..."
"Rakh do... and leave!!"
"Tum mera gussa unpe mat nikalo!!",He finally managed to say..
She looked up from a file..."Tum.. mujhe advice de rahe ho ya order??...if ita an advice..i don't need it... agar order hai... then... I AM THE BOSS here!!.. u get it?? out of my place!!"
"Anika... tum.."
"Mujhe mat sikhao Arjun... i don't wish to hear anything from you!!.. tumhare jaisa egoistic..arrogant insan maine aj tak nahi dekha... agar bachpan ke dost ki value nahi hai..toh... ...just leave arjun!!... Just go!!"
"Ani..tu over react kar rahi hai...!!"
"Arjun.. i am your senior here... don't you dare use that accent!!"
"I am sorry Ani... ",he said defeated..
"Arjun... leave...",she sighed and turned away...ðŸ˜
The others stood on the door... still... shocked at the verbal war going on!!
Arjun turned t leave and witnessed the whole team standing there... for the first time ever... he felt ashamed... embarrassed... He sighed and went away furiously... promising himself that he will get over this drama... by hook or by crook... This drama... which had been going on for months now...had to end...!!He could not hurt her more...That one incident... which changed all equations between them...years of friendship..and one wrong move..!!

"Kya chaiye??",she said after composing herself...
"Wo.. wo.. apka..phone..matlab... waha..baj...",Shree said forwarding her ringing phone..
"Thanks...aur... please.. thodi der ke liye akela rehne do.. i will be fine!!"
Everyone nodded and went away..
She slumped on the chair...with tears in her eyes..as she recalled the past...

"Arjun.. tumhe misunderstanding ho rahi hai...maine aisa kuch nahi kia!!"
"Ani..maine tumse ye ummeed nahi ki thi..."
"Par arjun,... she is lying... tum.. tum priyanka se puch lo... wo form maine tumhare notebook ke andar daala tha...",she defended..
"Anni... do you realise??? is form ke gum ho ane ka matlab samajhti ho?? meri puri 3 saal ki mehnat pani me chali gayi... mujhe pura 1 saal phir repeat kana hoga!!!!..Ani...my career is on stake...jis career ke liye maine apni family ko chod dia...wo career...anni..tumhari wajah se sab spoil ho gaya!!😡😡",he screamed in anger as the whole lot of students in the line turned around..
"Arjun... simmi se pucho kaha hai!!1 maine rakha tha isme... phir isne bola ke wo tumhe de degi..ab tumtak nahi pahucha to mai kya karu??",she yelled back..
"Anni.. ye kyu kia tumne??... tum... tum meri best friend thi na... toh.. ye sab.. oh ya.. i get it... bas 1 seat na??... tumhara selection bas 1 seat ke wajah se nahi hua na... now i get it.. meri seat.. tumhari.. hai na?? tum... is hadh tak kaise gir sakti ho??? how could you???"
"Arjun.. don't cross your limits...aisi wahiyaad baatein mat karo!!! tum aisa soch bhi kaise sakte ho...gira hua kaun hai..ye to samajh a hi gaya!!"

"I hate you ani... i...hate you!!",he left angrily...
tears pooled her eyes...did he just..slap her because of that...She looked around..everyone was looking at her...she left too...!!

Later at night,..,
Somewhere amidst the dark lanes...in a stuffy godown..
She entered the godown.. looking here and there...
"Abhi??... where are you?",she called out a few times...but there was no response...
And all of a sudden..there was heavy firing...She jerked and lowered her head...and hid herself behind some boxes...and defended..
But after a few minutes..it was getting more and more difficult...
And suddenly she realised that she was totally surrounded with 6 people with weapons..
She dodged some..hit some... but now...her gun was empty...and there was a gun pointed towards her...She closed her eyes..She had lost...and suddenly she heard a gunshot...and felt a strong pull on her waist...
She kept her eyes closed not bothering to see what happened...then she heard two more shots...and there was utter silence...
She slowly opened her eyes...and she was lying in his embrace...and he was looking at her.. with an unknown emotion..no..there was something more... there were tears in his eyes...
He forwarded her hand...and touched her cheek..."Tum..thik ho na??"
And as if that was an undoing... She suddenly realised the state they were in...and got up with a jerk...
"Ha..",she turned away,,
"yaha kya kar rahi thi?"
"informer ane wala tha!!..usse milne.."
"Information cross check karna chaiye..you were tricked!!"
"Par mere informer ne..",she started...and he cut him short..."Tumhara koi informer nahi ane wala tha.. fake call tha..you were tricked!! Aur agey se aisa kuch mat karna...samjhi...ya..."
"Mujhe mat samjhao ACP...!!",she walked away and he held her hand and pulled her back..
"Don't you dare ignore me once more!!",he scowled..
"And don't you dare hold my hand again...",she tried to free herself...
"Anika.. listen to me once...",Arjun nearly pleaded this time..
"Kya sunu Arjun.. sunne ko bacha hi kya hai ab?? "
"I am sorry..."
"Kitna asan hai na?? sabke samne mujhe insult karna... wahiyaad batein bolna.. thappad marna... aur phir ek chhota sa sorry bol dena..",She asked.. with a tinge of tears in her eyesðŸ˜
"Nahi... bahut mushkil hai",he sighed defeated..and left her hands..."Mere liye mera career bahut important tha... aur us waqt...trust me...andha ho gaya tha mai... par... phir maine bahut regret kia.. of course jabtak regret kia ...tum mujhse bahut dur ja chuki thi...(Turns around)..chalo mere sath...",Without waiting for her response he nearly dragged her to the SUV ...
Very Soon they were at some unknown dark place..and again arjun was dragging a numb Her somewhere...
"Hum kaha ja rahe hai??",she voiced out..
All of a sudden he left her and...disappeared somewhere leaving her alone in the dark...
She was a bit scared and tried to find her way...
The lights came on suddenly...and she realised that she was in a small shed amidst the lake...and there were rose petals on he way...and there was that one thing which melted her completely...
That PINK TEDDY BEAR...with A big read heart which read SORRY..
Whatever be the situation.. however old one grows.. there is always a kid within us...And there was a kid in her too..
And then that cute apology.. unexpected...specially when it is from the hot headed Rawte..
She turned around with a smile.and..where was he??
Then her gaze fell down..He was making a puppy face and making the most innocent face in the world...and kneeling down...holding his ears...
"I am sorry puppy!!"
"Mai koi puppy nahi hu",she said pouting..with a faint smile..
"Sara din to bhowkti rehti thi..Rawte..ye mat karo..rawte..wo mat karo..ye mat khao..motu ho jaoge..ye mat khao..unhealthy hai..waha mat jao..usse mat baat karo... mere life ke strings to humesha hi tumhare hath me they... humesha rahenge puppy.. wo haq mai kisi ko nahi de paya... na kabhi dunga puppy... will u be with me...guide me forever?",he said fluttering his lashes..
She smiled... "chhi.. aise puchoge to yehi lake me fek dungi..",she said with a light sob...
"Haaww??!! dhamki de rahi hai??...chal...aj to lake ki sair kara hi deta hu!!",he didnt wait but just picked her up and went to the boundary of the lake.
"Rawte..nahi..please...no...",she kept hitting him as he kept on acting as if he will actually throw him in the water...😆
"Toh bol...maine jo pucha..wo bolo.."
"Okay... par...pani me mat fekna rawte..warna zindagi bhar tujhe sataungi!!"
"Sata le..woh bhi seh lunga..."
"Hmm??"
"hmm... ",he put her down and slid a rose in her palm...
She hugged him tight and enjoyed each other's embrace as time flew...
