PART 5

'Roshni tum please jake payal ko dekhogi?,'Arjun told roshni,who nodded and went to payal's room.

Roshni knocked on her door repeatedly but there was no response from the other side.After waiting for some more time she shouted for Arjun,

'Sir,payal darwaza nehi khol rahi,'

Arjun was sitting at the balcony broken with his shattered past memories when Roshni called for him.He jerked up at that and ran to the door.He knocked and called for payal but she didnt open the door.He tried to listen but there was no sound inside the room.He couldnt take it more and broke the door.

They went in scared and found payal sitting on the floor at the side of the bed with a lighted cigrette held between her fingers.Arjun and Roshni left out a breath they were holding unknowingly.Arjun walked to her and kept his hand on her shoulder.She was numb,she didnt response.Arjun looked towards Roshni who had a worried expression on her face.Arjun sat down beside Payal and tried to take the cigrette from her hand.

She didnt let him take it from her hand and held it down by her side.Roshni left the room to give them some privacy.Arjun left the struggle to get the cigrette from her and sat down quitely.After a long time he heard her speaking,more to herself than him,

'Mujhe mamma hamesha keheti thi ap bohot bure insaan hai,ap ekdin hamare sab kuch barbad karke hume chor ke chale jayenge.Maine unki baat kabhi nehi mani.mujhe kabhi samaj hi nehi aya wo apse itna nafrat kiyu karti thi.Aur ap bhi mamma se kabhi bhi ache se baat nehi karte the.Dad ko to kabhi bhi humare liye waqt nehi mila sivai gifts aur paise dene ke.Mujhe unse kabhi bhi itna pyar nehi mil paya jitna mein chahti thi.

lekin ap hamesha mere pass the.Mein apse wo sab kuch kehe sakti thi jo Dad se nehi kehe paya.Shayad mere liye dad ap hi the.Isiliye jab ap mamma se ya Dad se jhagra karte the mere liye mujhe bohot acha lagta tha.Fir ap gusse mein mujhe bhi daat te the..lekin mujhe wo bhi acha lagta tha.Per mamma apko sabke samne nicha dikhati thi hamesha.Meine sab pe bharosa kho diya tha,maine apni puri duniya apko hi bana liya tha.

Mein bhi ap ki tara hona chahati thi.Ap jaise har bar sach ke liye larte the,jhoot ya galat bardasht nehi karte the,mein bhi waisa hi karna chahati thi.Ap jab police training join karne ke liye papa se permission lene gaye the,aur papa ne apko beizzat karke ghar se nikal jane ko kaha,mujhe bohot bura laga tha.Apko samajne wala us ghar mein aur koi nehi tha.Isiliye maine apko support kiya tha.

Meine socha mein apke bagair bhi rehe lungi,apko promise bhi kiya tha,har roz baat karti thi apse per I was lost.Mein akele nehi rehe pa rahi thi.Har din meri subah intezaar mein guzarti tha ki kab sham hogi aur ap phone karenge.Mujhe kuch acha nehi lagta tha.Mamma bhi hamesha yehi keheti thi ki ap mujhe bhool jayenge.Apne phone karna bhi kam kar diya.Mein bohot akelapan mehsus karne lagi thi.

Fir papa ka accident,apka hum sab ko chor ke chale jana,mamma ki baat ko sabit kar rahi thi.Mujhe laga mein apko galat samjhti rahi ab tak.I was broken completely.Mamma was making things worse.Wo mujhe achanak bohot time dene lagi.Pyar karne lagi.Wo mujhe apne friends se milwane lagi.Mein toot rahi thi.Mein dheere dheere burai ke raste jane lagi unka hath pakad ke.Jab unhe laga ki mein ap se dur chali gayi hu to mamma bhi apni life mein busy ho gayi aur mein fir akeli ho gayi.Ap nehi the mujhe samhalne ke liye aur mein bhi apki tara bura banna chahti thi.Galat friends,galat company mujhe aj yaha leke ayi hai.apna akelapan dur karne ke liye unse milti rahi aur ye sab mujhe drugs,nasha aur aj to...'

Payal stopped there,her voice choked.Arjun put his arm around her shoulder,she was trembling.He held her tight and pulled her close to him,she looked up at him,

'I am sorry bhaiya.plz mujhe maaf kardo.Meine ap ko galat samjha,is gunah ki sazaa to milni chahiye,ap mujhe jaise punish karna chaho kar sakte ho,per plz mujhe apse dur maat karna,'

payal hid her face in his chest and started crying.Arjun slowly held the cigrette from her fingers and threw away.He held her in her arms tight keeping his chin on her head.

'pagal tune kuch nehi kiya.mein hi tujhe nehi samaj paya,agar samaj jata to aj ye situation hi nehi ata,mujhe maaf karde,bacha.'

Both of them cried in each others arms.Their hearts have atlast found solace in each others loved soul.Thats when Roshni came in and cleared her throut.

'Ab agar thora interval liya jai to acha rahega,mujhe na bohot bhook lagi hai,pehele dinner karle?'she asked both of them,

Payal looked up at roshni and then ar Arjun with questioning eyes.Arjun got her question,

'ye Inspector Roshni Mehera,is case ki incharge,tumhe dhunte huye hum mile the,hum inke hi ghar pe hai,'Arjun looked towards roshni,'Thank you roshni for everything.lekin ab bohot der ho gayi hai,payal bhi thik hai to hum ab chalenge,thanks you once again,'

'arre kaha jayenge?ap ko shayad andaza nehi hai,per abhi raat ke 2 baj rahe hai.Dinner ready hai,kar lijiye.kal chale jaiyega',roshni replied,

Arjun tried to protest,

'Ab bas sir,warna ap mujhe jante hai,ap ko zabardasti rokne ke liye majboor mat kijiye,samjhe ap?aiye niche,khana de rahi hu,chalo payal,'roshni replied to Arjun with a hard glare which shut arjun,

'thik hai hum ate hai,bhaiya ap chalo meri thori fresh hoke ati hu,'payal chuckled at roshni's reply and arjun's red face and then replied,

'thik hai,payal agar kapre change karne hai,to cupboard mein mere kapre hai,kuch bhi le lena,'roshni told her,

Payal nodded and stood up to go to the cupboard.Arjun walked into the washroom.Roshni went down to arrange the food.Arjun went down to the dining after freshing up leaving the room for payal to freshen up.

Roshni was arranging the plates when Arjun came down.He took the plates from her and helped arranging them.She protested in the beginning but then she stopped.She brought the food bowls and kept them on the table.Arjun took a quick look at them and smelled the food.

'kitne saalo baad ye ghar ke khane ki khusboo..tum itni achi cook ho?'arjun raised an eye brow at roshni,

'nehi ye bahar se order kiya hai,apko baad mein bill de dungi pay kar dijiyega,'Roshni mocked him,

Arjun glared at her reply.No one ever dared to reply him with a taunt and roshni,she was his junior how could she even dare to speak so much in front of him.

'eise mat ghuriye ye maine hi banay hai,zeher nehi diya hai dont worry,'

'tumhara koi bharosa nehi,jo apne senior ko mar mar ke behaal kar sakti hai,wo kuch bhi kar sakti hai,'

Roshni's face turned pale and looked embarrased.

'wo sir mujhe nehi pata tha na ke ap kaun hai?mein to payal ko apse bachane ayi thi,aur fir apne bhi to ekbar nehi bataya ap kaun hai?meri galti nehi hai'

'acha to kiya meri galti hai?dekho tum...,'

Both stopped fighting when payal came down.She still looked depressed and pale.

'aao payal baitho,khana kha lo,aur tum mujhe roshni bula sakti ho,'Roshni called her,

Payal was hesitating a bit with roshni,but roshni tried making it easier for her.Not meeting with too many people in her life has made payal an extremely introvert person and roshni could feel it in her every move.

'per aap to mujhse bari hai,mein roshni didi bulau?'

'okay',Roshni said and started serving the food.

All of them ate their dinner chatting and giggling.The siblings were enjoying after a long time,thus arjun was heavily pampering his little sister and payal was enjoying it with tears in her eyes.Roshni was quitely watching them occasionally speaking between her food.
