"So, all the moments we spent meant nothing to you?" She asked.
He slowly turned and looked towards her.
"Do you really care?"
Sharon lost the count of number of times she had called him a jerk due to his actions that day. If she didn't care, then who did? Did he really think that those amazing moments of a beautiful relation with him meant nothing to her?? Well, then he was mistaken.
More than being aggravated, she was hurt. Hurt because Swayam still didn't trust her. Hurt because, he still felt that she was the hard egoistic coconut who couldn't possibly love someone till eternity. Maybe he felt that he thought of her as a non relationship kinda girl. No. She wasn't like that, and that's exactly why she had called Swayam. To clarify things. To tell him that trust made up the base of every relationship, and without trust, not even the strongest powers could sustain a relationship.
"Yes." She replied in a monotonous way.She wasn't going to blabber lectures in front of him. No way. A fact was fact and she didn't need to give justifications for it.
As expected by her, he was really speechless. Confused for a moment or so...he didn't react. He felt like his legs were pulling him out of the place, because his mind was certainly not in a condition to provide reasonable answers to her enigmatic questions..but his heart yearned to be in that place, close to her.
He trusted her. More than himself. But he refused to believe that whatever happened that day was a reflex action. He needed time. Time to move on. He believed in destiny and maybe destiny did pave a way for them, but he just guessed they weren't meant to be. Maybe, destiny did have something else in store for him.. Something..he anticipated...better.
But what could be better than her? She was the person he loved the most. He didn't want to move on from her. He loved her selflessly, and his love wasn't of the rejection sorts. He didn't mind accepting his love in front of everyone. Unlike her. Anger overtook him as he looked right into her deep eyes reflecting pain, hurt, sadness. He had expected that. He could still read her like no one could, and before her, he had realized the fact that she didn't love him. She felt like she loved him, but love meant being selfless.. She wasn't selfless. She couldn't see him moving on.
He wished to see her love dominating all those emotions in her eyes. He had a sudden vision of how ruthlessly she had rejected his love in front of everyone that day. She couldn't be forgiven . He didn't want her to live in a delusional world. It was probably the last time he was gonna tell her, and this was probably the time for her to know and realize her emotions. She had to understand it.
He slowly made his way towards her.
She looked at him, trying to decipher what he was going to do. He was unpredictable. She couldn't really say, whether he was coming to give her a hug or what? He kept walking towards her. She flinched a bit and thanks to the wall, couldn't go beyond.
They were inches apart. So close, momentarily enough. She could feel his breath over her face. She locked her eyes with his, unwilling to look anywhere else. His eyes were so captivating. She could stare at them all through the day. Damn! She had to convince him somehow. She just had to.
She just didn't feel like deviating.
"What's your problem?" He said in a tone that was just audible enough, yet very very firm for her.
She didn't reply for a moment. She could feel herself going weak in the knees as he came closer and closer and kept decreasing the distance between them.
What was her problem? What was his problem, rather? He was ignoring her, behaving so curtly with her, and then turning up and asking what her problem was. Seriously? Swayam, I'm gonna make the most of this opportunity. Before you go, I'll make sure that you, confess yourself what your problem is, and why on earth are you not keen on forgiving me? A mistake is a mistake. Rather it was a crime, but for everything, one fair chance was needed. She just needed another of those rare golden opportunities to unlock the door to his heart, probably again and fix a spot for herself, there, permanently. She loved him. She just wanted to be with him. She was going to assure it. Not by forcing, but by making him believe in her love. Just one chance.
Without any further ado, forgetting that he was not talking to her, completely in her senses, she placed her lips over his.
