Thank you everyone for your likes and the lovely comment on the previous chapter. I may not be replying to the comment but i do read all of them and they just encourage me to continue writing the story. Here is Chapter 15. Enjoy.

Chapter 15

Arnav was on his way to his room after coming back from jogging when he bumped into Akash who seemed to be in a hurry.

"Sorry bhai, I was in a hurry." Akash said adjusting his glasses.

"It's ok. Where are you going?" Arnav asked seeing Akash dressed in official clothes.

"Bhai Mr. Mehra called early in the morning. He wants to finalize on the deal today. So am going to office." Akash said.

"Weren't you suppose to go for shopping with everyone?" Arnav asked.

"I know bhai. The deal is also important. I'll join them after the meeting."

"Akash you carry on with your plans I'll handle the meeting. And give me the files."

"Thank you bhai." Akash said giving his brother a hug and went to his room without giving the file and Arnav moved to his room to get ready.

Half an hour later Arnav came down to the hall to find Akash trying to call someone continuously.

"Akash can I have the Mehra file." Arnav said.

"Bhai the file is with Khushiji." Akash said.

"What the... Call her and ask her to reach office with the file." Arnav said.

"Bhai I don't have her number."

"What the... Then call Payal and ask her to pass the message."

"I tried but she is not answering the call."

"Leave it I'll manage." Arnav said as his anger rose.

"Kya hua Chote?" Anjali asked as she walked towards her brothers.

"Di I wanted kh..." He said only to leave his sentence hanging as his Di will make a big issue out of it with her nonstop questions. He turned his to find Anjali looking at him with narrowed eyes. "Nothing Di, I need to go." As he walked out of the house.

"I'll have to pick the files myself from her place." He thought as he drove off towards Gupta house.

"Khushi how many times have I told you not to come for breakfast before taking a shower?" Garima said in fake anger.

"Oh ho amma... I won't do it again but now pass me the plate otherwise I'll die of hunger." Khushi said placing her hand on her tummy and making a puppy face.

"Khushi you will never change... Drama queen." Garima said smiling.

"Amma if I change how will you recognize me?" Khushi said.

"Chup kar abhi." Garima said as she served her.

Garima walked back to the kitchen to help Madhumati while the three sibling sat at the table enjoying the breakfast.

Khushi was lost as her mind drifted back to yesterday's event with Arnav in the conference room when Payal called her.

"Khushi, where are you lost? And why are you dipping the samosa in tea" Payal said bringing Khushi out of her thoughts and Rishi also looked up on hearing this.

"Yeh sab us Laad Governor ki vajese ho raha hai." (it's all happening because of that Laad Governor.) She said under her breath.

"What are you saying Khushi? Say it loudly." Payal said.

"Jiji yesterday that Laad Governor..." she looked up to find both Payal and Rishi staring at her. "I mean Arnavji..." As she narrated the whole incident to an attentive audience in form of Payal and Rishi. "

"Toh yeh thi hamari kal ki kahani." She said leaving out the last bit where they fell down.

"What you and ASR were together... Stuck in one room... Poor ASR, I pity him." Rishi said with a mocking smile.

"What? You are thinking about him and not me." Khushi said.

"Yes Khushi. I was just wondering how he could bear staying with you in that room listening to your nonstop bakwas." Rishi said.

"Bhai am not going to leave you." Khushi said in an angry tone standing up from her place.

Rishi knew what his sister was up to and stood up and ran with Khushi running behind him. They ran around the house like Tom and Jerry.

Rishi stopped near the main door with Khushi at a distance away from him.

"Time please." Rishi said making a T with his hand. Khushi stood relaxing her back on the sofa to catch her breath.

Rishi took the opportunity and opened the door to run out of the house only to stop in his tracks by her voice.

Khushi saw him opening the door. She picked a cushion from the sofa and ran towards the Rishi shouting, "Stop right there." As she stood a few feet away from him now.

"You can't go away so easily." She said throwing the cushion to hit Rishi with full force.

Rishi ducked down right on time and the cushion instead hit someone else.

Arnav had reached the entrance of Gupta house to find the door wide open with Rishi facing his back to him. Before he could take in the situation something soft hit his face. He stood puzzled trying to figure out what was going on.

Rishi was unaware of Arnav's presence. He looked up to see Khushi standing with both her hands on her mouth and eyes wide open.

"What happened to my Jansi ki rani." Rishi said letting out a small giggle. "Can you stop behaving like Ghandiji's Bandar (monkey) who saw a ghost and can't scream." Rishi said when he didn't get a response on his first statement.

Khushi nodded her head in positive saying yes in response.

"Kya Ghost? Yaha... Gupta house me." He said giving out a dramatic laugh. "How can another ghost enter here when you are already there." He added laughing sarcastically and turning behind. "Oh so he is your ghost." He said turning back to Khushi and immediately turns back as his mind registered whom he saw. Had he just seen Arnav?

"Tum!" Rishi shouted.

"Yeah, any problem?" He asked without removing his eyes from Khushi who stood like a mannequin.

Her hair tied in a loose pony and brought forward to rest on her shoulder. The loose tendrils that freely fell on her face. The pink spaghetti and white shorts that barely covered half her thighs which made her look irresistible.

His gaze made Khushi uncomfortable. He took in the beauty of the lady in front of him while the lady's heart beat had gone for a marathon. She broke the trance and left her room while Rishi's voice brought Arnav back.

"What a pleasant surprise?" Rishi said. "How comes you are here?"

Khushi walked back to the hall after changing into a kurta pajama.

Rishi spoke again, "So Arnav what brought you here early in the morning?"

"I had a meeting and unfortunately the file is with your sister. So I had to come to collect the file." He said looking at Rishi without any expressions.

"Is it really the file that brought you here or something else?" Rishi said eyeing Khushi who walked towards them.

"It's the file." Arnav said trying to control his instincts.

"I would have missed to see the beautiful figure had I taken the number from Di." He thought.

"You needed a file?" Khushi asked without meeting his eyes.

"Yes the Mehra file." He said without diverting his gaze from her face. He could clearly see her cheeks that had turn tomato red.

"Was she shy?" he wondered. "Had he seen her in clothes that were not meant to be seen by outsiders as he had always seen her in traditional clothes?"

Khushi hurried back to her room and came out after a few minutes with the file. She handed it over to him and took a seat next to Payal as the two friends talked for a while over a cup of coffee that Payal had served.

Later the Gupta ladies joined Akash, Anjali and mami for shopping.

The shopping for the clothes took two days.

It was late on Tuesday night when Anjali called Khushi asking her to come to Shantivan. Anjali wanted to select some jewellery for Payal and wanted Khushi's help in that and Khushi readily agreed to go. Anjali also asked Khushi to bring Priya along and some of the files she had to sign.
