all the comments were encouraging and hence I am here with the first part of the story. I am not giving the character sketch, ull come to know gradually as the story progresses.

here comes the first part of the story. Not quite progressive but just a hint to what might have happened...and also introduction to some important characters involved...read on


Chapter 1:

"How is he? fine. we are coming.everything is completed",Rathore disconnected the call and took the driver seat of his SUV, Shree took the seat beside.The drive started towards the hospital where rest of the ETF members were present.

Shree has never seen his chief so disturbed earlier.He has always seen him calm and attentive in the most difficult of situations but today was something different.Had it not been him getting stuck suddenly when sushma had come in front,arjun would have been safe.But now he is struggling for his life.Shree didnt have the courage to ask his chief about what had shocked him to that extend that he couldnt even hold the gun in his hand, had it not been for arjun they would have been dead.

'and then why did Rathore sir wanted to meet sushma in lockup but didnt go in nor did he speak to her,he was just stairing at her bewildered.what was that??i am sure there is something more than what is being shown.not bad shree arjun sir ka kafi acha asar par raha hai',a small chuckle left his lips but then suddenly getting aware that rathore was beside him he fell silent.He took a look at rathore and found him lost again.His face was pale.'was he worried for arjun sir??or was he feeling guilty??'shree's thoughts came to an end when they reached hospital and both of them rushed in.

All the Etf members were present. almost all of them were hurt.Ayesha had a bullet grazing arm which had been treated by then.she was sitting on the bench outside the Operation theatre.sakshi had a brusied head which had been bandaged.chotu had minor cuts and bruises and arjun he was in the operation theatre.rathore and shree went near them.rathore was injured at his back too but he was not able to feel the pain of the injury, there was something more painful than that, the truth.

rathore composed himself and headed towards his team.one impulsive state and everyone's life was at stake.He cant afford to lose anything more atleast not any of his team members.He enquired about Arjun and came to know from ayesha that he is serious.He is still in the OT and the doctors have still not got out.Rathore sat down near ayesha.His legs were giving way.After what seemed like ages Doctor came out and informed that everything is under control.He had been sinking but now seemed to have stabilized.but he would have to kept under observation for the next 24 hours.RAthore released the breathe he was holding.He asked everyone else to get back home coz he would be staying there all night.After much protest when everyone had left Rathore got himself up toward the ICU where arjun was kept.He cant thank him properly once he gets back his sense,owing to the relation they share now,he thanked him mentally.Having relieved knowing he is fine there peacefully sleeping,he moved to get himself a cup of coffee for the night stay.Rathore sat back on the bench.The corridor was almost empty just two more people were sitting at the other end,they seemed tired and had dozed off.He sipped his coffee then rested his head on the wall behind but fliched when the wound at his back touched the wall.slowly and carefully resting himself not to hurt himself he closed his eyes.He was tired too but Sleep was no where near him.

rathore knew very well the morning that was coming up will bring up a lot more things that would only end up messing his life more and he would have to keep the strength to face it head on may be all alone.
