Juhi, just love how you drop us splat right in the middle of things... Khushi being missing after their previous night's encounter is bound to make Arnav nervous... all that talk of Khushi having previously warned the Kashyap's about needing to take some time off due to a personal emergency makes me wonder if she is suffering from a serious ailment... but given your propensity for the unexpected, that seems too simple a reason for her disappearance! The Kashyap's confused reaction to Arnav's abruptness and uncharacteristic behaviour is amusing. His temper is exacerbated by his anxiety about Khushi's whereabouts and condition. His loss of control revealing how much Khushi means to him leaves the others shell-shocked. The loss of Akash had already made Arnav a recluse, before Khushi made him want to live again... there's a very real danger that her disappearance will push him further into the darkness. As melodramatic as it sounds, sometimes he almost felt like he couldn't even breathe, now that she wasn't here... nice tribute to the show! Each of his thoughts about Khushi reflect the intensity of his feelings toward her and the confusion in his mind as to how it all came about. Like Anjali. I too hope that his interest in Khushi, stemming from a need to escape from his memories of Akash, wouldn't push him into a living hell if things don't work out. "Anjali,please...don't cry!" Wonder if there is more to the Anjali-Aman relationship'. Thank god Arnav realised he can't put his loved ones through the hell they had experienced previously and stopped continuing on the path to self-destruction. Somehow, he had to retain his sanity, regain his life...and have her in it, as well... that's the right way to go about it, as is his decision to learn more about her. It's seems like Arnav is so focused on what he wants that he often ignores what another person is trying to tell him and by the time he does so, precious time is wasted... luckily Aman managed to tell him that Khushi was present at Sheesh Mahal at that very moment. Aman is right in thinking that it's best to ask Khushi if Arnav wants to learn about her... that would be ethical. He had to see her, there was no other option. And if that meant going in to the rooms where his family had once lived...and laughed, then he would do that too... Khushi is unwittingly making him face his demons. That Arnav was a doctor comes as a surprise though the fact that he chose to specialise in Oncology isn't. It is devastating to lose not only one's parents but also one's brother to terminal illness, but the guilt of not having seen what was happening to Akash must be what had driven Arnav to isolate himself from the world... the guilt must have been heightened because he did what he had blamed his father for doing: immersing himself in work and not noticing what was wrong with a loved one... But I...I was just too busy saving lives..." The fact that Arnav dealt in matters related to cancer and he hadn't seen the symptoms or suspected anything in Akash's case as well as the fact that he saved many lives but was unable to do so when it came to his brother only added to Arnav's self-loathing. And then, he felt a soft, warm touch on his hand. She had placed her own there, and for a moment he just stared at it...and understood what she was trying to do here... Khushi's silent support and empathy are moving. He giving up his own dream and a job that he loved to fulfil his brother's last wish may also be the result of his sense of guilt. "Taken his place if you could?" He looked at her, surprised by what she'd just said... seems like Khushi's been there. "...Akash wouldn't have wanted you to live like this." Maybe Khushi is following her own advice which is why she had opted for brighter colours during her job hunt and had decided it was time to leave the four walls of her room. "If I could stay in your arms forever, I would." Such a poignant confession of love! It would be way too much of a coincidence if Khushi is also suffering from a terminal illness, cancer or tumor. Shades of Mili? 'Tonight, Arnavji. Before this night is done, you will know the truth about me." It is also something that I know you will find hard to believe... The truth is sometimes strange, and uncommon... sometimes, her responses make me feel as if she were a ghost! Eagerly awaiting the next part.
