Part 7

Mrs Raizada: Are you both insane? How can you think of this Anjali?

Anjali: Maa. Its not wrong what we want. Chotte and Khushi bhabhi got married isigning the papers right? That's what we know. They never fulfilled the other rituals properly. Then why should we wait for it? Why not get them married fully?

Mrs Raizada: No. I am against it.

Nani: Why Astha? Why do I think you are changing your mind suddenly? Did anything happened between you and Khushi bitiya?

How could Mrs Raizada forget what this Khushi did with her. How she twisted her hand and warned her that she will never do anything what is been expected by her, she will safeguard the keys that her own mother (Nani) handed her .

Nani: Astha? I am asking you something. Tell me

Mrs Raizada; Nothing Maa. There is nothing wrong between me and Khushi. But I think they both will never agree for this.

Anjali: Let me ask them first. If they are ready then I don't see any other problem.

Anjali was very excited for this marriage as she only had one brother and if she cannot fulfil her wishes through him then who else can she expect this from?

Arnav and Khushi were called in nani's room again and this time every other family member like Astha, Anjali and Anshu were present there. Nani put forward her desires to them and knowing which the couple definitely got surprised.

Arnav: Marriage with the rituals?

Anjali: haan Chotte. We all wish the same.

Khushi: Nahi. !!

She immediately got up and Arnav had expected this reaction from her.

Mrs Raizada wanted this NO from her which she readily got. How can a girl agree to marry someone without knowing him properly?

Anjali: No? Why Bhabhi? We are not asking much. You both already are husband and wife legally then whats the harm in doing the rituals?

Now Arnav knew she was unwilling to do this but that doesn't mean he would let her deny here before the family.

Arnav: She is just scared Di. Nothing else. Hai naa Khushi?

Khushi angrily looked at him but he saw Anjali again not caring what looks Khushi gave him.

Arnav: Di, she is little orthodox about these double marriages. I mean when we already are husband and wife why to get married again. ? That's all. But I don't see a reason for denying it. I will make her understand.

Mrs Raizada's mouth was shut seeing her Son showing so much interest in this girl all of a sudden? What was wrong with him? She tried to convince Arnav in her ways.

Mrs Raizada: Khushi isn't wrong. I think she has a point. I am with her.

Arnav was angry when she poked in between .

Arnav: But she is my wife. I know how to make her change decisions for me. You don't have to worry .

Anjali could see the atmosphere burning now by the mother and son fight. So she thought of cooling the air here

Anjali: Chotte you and and Khushi take some time to decide this. And we will wait for your reply.

Nani: Haan Khushi bitiya, don't think we are forcing you, we can wait for your reply.

Mrs Raizada knew Khsuhi will never say a YES for this real marriage but what about Arnav? What if he convinces her? Whatever it was, she had to soon find out the real reason behind why Arnav was supporting this girl from the start. And she had very less time to do so.

Khushi was in the kitchen alone thinking on how she had to find a solution to this problem. She cannot elope from here, neither can she stay back and get married to Arnav with full rituals. She had no idea what to do. That's when Mrs Raizada came inside the Kitchen after finding the real reason of the problem. Yes. She finally could trace what Arnav shared with Khushi before and why did he so desperately took her side always. And knowing the real reason she couldn't wait to let Khushi know this so that her denial for getting married to Arnav will become more firm.

Mrs Raizada: Whats cooking Bahu?

Khushi stopped her thoughts and turned to her.

Khushi: Don't call me Bahu when we are alone. I am not your Bahu and neither I wish to be one.

Mrs Raizada: But my Son is very adamant in getting married to you. Bechara. What will he do then? When he couldn't buy you from your father, he thought of getting married to you here. As it is, in both ways, only he Wins. Smart boy he is. Afterall he is my Son.

Khushi was shocked.

Khushi: What rubbish are you talking Mrs Raizada?

Mrs Raizada: Its not rubbish Khushi. Just like you don't wish to be my Bahu, I too don't want a girl like you to marry my Son. And for that I tried investigating your past and found out how Arnav was linked to you.

Khushi: He was never linked to me. I met him here , in this house.

Mrs Raizada: Yes . That's true. You found him here and met him first in Shantivan but he knew you from long.

Khushi kept on looking at her face.

Mrs Raizada: He is the same man whom your step father wished to sell you to.

She started laughing aloud feeling happy for giving Khushi a reason to go and fight with Arnav. Khushi could not believe this. She dropped the plate from her hand in shock.

Mrs Raizada: You wont believe me that easily naa? I have proofs Khushi. Why don't you call up your Step father in Police Station and ask him if this is true or not? He wont lie. He knows every in and out of Arnav's lust for you. Believe me, My Son was always like that. I don't know how many girls he has played with but you seem to be one of them. He wanted you and for that all he needed to do was to bribe your father and make him sell you to him.

Khushi was on the verge of crying. She cannot believe that the Arnav was the same person she wanted to run from and commit suicide. What an irony that she landed up again in his den only. With moist eyes, she looked at Mrs Raizada.

Khushi: If this is any lie Mrs Raizada, I will make sure you will pay for this.

Mrs Raizada: And if this is true then? What will I get? Will you agree to do my work then? Because if you do, then I promise to ensure you this real marriage will never happen. After my work is done you are free to leave this house. And I will make sure that Arnav also doesn't come to know where you go.

Khushi didn't reply. She only wanted to find the truth and for that she had to confront to Arnav tonight. She went out of the kitchen direct towards the bedroom where she expected him to be.

Bedroom

Arnav was on call with his Manager. She came inside and snatched his phone and threw it on the bed giving him a shock by her behaviour.

Arnav: What The Hell Khushi? I was talking business and you?

Khushi: Business? What Business? Aur kisi ladi ko kharidne ka iraada hai? (You wish to buy one more girl for you?)

Arnav : What Crap? What do you mean buying a girl Khushi?

Khushi: Like you bought me

Her eyes reflected how much pain she had in her. He didn't know why her mood changed so suddenly or who filled her ears. But what was important at the moment was how did she come to know all this?

Arnav: Who told you that?

He tried holding her hand but she moved back.

Khushi: It doesn't matter Arnav. You tell me is this true or not?

Arnav: Don't talk to me like that Khushi. I don't like it.

Khushi: So? Only because you don't like it, does it mean I should give fake respect to you? No Mr Raizada. I cannot do that anymore. In all these years I have done enough for my step father. I felt happy seeing you helping me coming out of this situation. Somehow I was obliged that by throwing my Step father behind the bars you have done a favour on me. And that I would never be able to repay you back anyhow for this. But now I realize. What you did was never for me, it was to hide your bad deeds. You and my father were involved. You were the one whom my Father had sold to me.

She started crying and hiting his chest with her fists to remove all her frustration on her and he couldn't take the unnecessary blames and see her cry. He held both her hands while she struggled to let free herself but he pinned her to the side wall and looked in her eyes.

Tears continued flowing from her eyes which definitely affected him.

Arnav: Khushi I will answer everything. But first stop crying like a kid.

Khushi: No. I don't wish to hear any more lie. I am tired of it. Just leave me,.

Arnav: Khushi tum jaanti ho main tumhe itni aasani se kabhi nahi chodunga. (Khushi you know I won't leave you that easily.). So listen to me and stop crying.

Her little sobs slowed down and she continued looking in his eyes. Her hands which were pinned by him were released slowly as he saw her calming down and then he cupped her face.

Arnav: Your Step father knew no other language than Money's. He would never have allowed you to be free if I didn't pay him for that. Now if he told you the whole matter in a way which looked like he sold you, its not my fault.

Khushi: You paid him? And then you wish to believe that he didn't sell me? Do you know when a man pays for a girl ? Did you consider me that kind of girl who can use till you wish and hence you invested so much on me? Why Mr Raizada? Why??

Her anger for him was not letting her believe his any talks. She was still young to realize what he felt for her. All she knew and wanted to confirm was one thing. Why did he want her?

Khushi: It was because of you that I ran away from him so that he doesn't make me be your slave for the entire life. And look where I reached? Back to your place, back to the same person whom my father sold me. And now since you didn't get what you wanted having your family around us, you thought of getting it in the other way. Now I realize why you keep calling me your wife and why you readily agreed for getting married to a simple girl like me with full rituals. But this will never happen. Never.

She pushed him with anger and tried leaving the room crying but he stopped her.

Arnav: Khushi meri baat toh suno. (Khushi atleast listen to me)
Khushi: No Mr Raizada. Now you listen to me. I don't know how much you paid to my father for getting some benefits out of me. But remember one thing, I don't even wish to see your face my entire life. Just get away from me. I hate you Mr Raizada. I hate you

She screamed aloud in anger and left the room.
