"Mr.Singhaniya, you need to take complete care of your wife, since it your third baby some complications might occur in future if she isn't taken care properly." The doctor said to Rey as well as Kriya.
Kriya was pregnant for five months and this one would be their third child. Their first child was a girl whom they named Naina; she's two years old. And their second child was a year old boy named Naksh. When Rey got to know that Kriya was expecting for the third time, there was no bounds of his happiness. He crazily danced like a maniac.
They had come for Kriya's check up and as per the doctor right now everything was fine. The baby was growing healthily. All she needed was the proper care and diet. Both of them thanked the doctor and heeded back home.
"Kriya, aaj se no work and only rest." Rey said to her once they entered their house.
"Naina baby, ruko..." Said the nanny running behind Naina with a glass of milk trying to feed her. Poor lady, she puffing but still didn't give up. Finally when she saw Kriya and Rey standing there, she looked towards them with pleading eyes. Rey smiled at her.
"Princess, where are you?? Daddy's here baby..." Rey shouted. As expected Naina came running towards him.
"You again fooled your nanny??" Rey asked to which she gave a sheepish smile.
"Sowiee.." She said cutely.
"Here you go, finish it off soon then daddy will give you a chocolate." Excited on listening to the word chocolate, Naina somehow gulped down the milk and forwarded her hand. "Meri choccy?" She asked.
Rey took out a chocolate from his pocked and placed it on her hand. In return Naina kissed him on his cheek. Kriya smiled at this. Suddenly she felt something near her legs. On looking down she found her one year old son crawling there trying to gain her attention. Kriya was about to bend down and pick him up. But before she could, Rey called her "Kriya...what are you doing. You are not supposed to bend."
Saying this, he picked up Naksh and handed him to Kriya. Kriya smiled at this caring gesture of Rey. He had always taken care of her in the same manner. Kriya's phone rang disturbing their family moment.
"Madam, I'm sorry but I'm leaving your work due to some family problems." The maid said.
"But Sushma, you know I'm pregnant and how will Rey manage all the work?"
"I know ma'am but I'm helpless."
"Okay fine."
As she ended the call Rey asked her "what happened honey?"
"The maid left the work due to some family problems." On hearing this Rey thought "iss baar mein akela bali ka bakra banuga."
"Are you fine baby?" She asked on seeing him lost.
"Uh, yeahh."
It was her sixth month of pregnancy going on.
"Rey...look there's a lot of dust at the corner, sweep properly." Kriya ordered him as if she was ordering some maid.
While sweeping and cleaning, Rey's hand accidentally hit the vase placed on the adjacent table. The vase fell on the ground smashed into pieces. Rey looked at Kriya and gulped down. It was surely the silence before the storm.
"Reyyy" She yelled.
"How...how could you do this? You know it was my favorite vase. You don't love me na. That's why you broke my favorite vase." She spoke weeping.
He knew this was going to happen. He wondered how can she assume that he doesn't loves her. Well he knew it was her mood swings speaking. He moved towards her and embraced her in a hug.
"Shhh...stop crying. I know love you baby and you know that. I promise to get another vase for you just like this one."
"Promise??" She asked like a child coming out his embrace.
"Pakka promise." He said to which she smiled and kissed him on his cheek.
Two months passed by. And in these two months, Rey hardly went to his office. He only visited office when there was some urgent meeting to be attended.
A tired Rey entered the house. He had left the house in the afternoon and returned back in the evening. He was exhausted due to attending back to back meetings.
"Welcome back baby." Kriya said.
He hugged her and inhaled her fragnance. Once she pulled back he asked "What did the cook prepare today? I'm so hungry."
"Nothing."
"But why??"
"Because I told him not to prepare. I wanted to eat something prepared by you. I also gave the nanny a half day leave." She said smiling whereas Rey's smiled disappeared on hearing this.
"You will prepare the dinner for us?" She asked making a cute face boosting up his energy. He pecked her lips and replied "Yeah I'll. What do you want to have?"
"Umm, vegetable biriyani."
"Oh okay." He said and entered the kitchen. With the help of the recipe book, he started preparing the dish.
While cooking he heard Kriya shout from upstairs. "Rey can you please take out the diapers from the botton shelf of our room?"
"Coming honey." Saying this he lowered the heat of the stove and heeded upstairs. Once he returned back to kitchen he heard Naina crying.
"Why is my princess crying?"
"I fell down."
"Aw, don't worry. My princess is a brave girl right? And brave girls don't cry right?" Naina nodded a yes. He rubbed the part that got hurt and kissed her.
He was almost done with the food that's when he heard Kriya shout again. "Rey I hope you haven't forgotten to prepare cerelac for Naksh."
He first made the kids have their dinner and called Kriya for dinner.
"What did you prepare baby?" She asked.
"Biriyani."
"Biriyani? Who told you to prepare that?"
"But honey tumne hi toh bola tha."
"No, I want to eat pasta."
Letting out an exasperated sigh, he went to the kitchen and returned back with pasta. He was too tired to have his dinner. How he wished, Kriya would feed him.
Rey lay on the bed waiting for Kriya to come. He twisted his neck, streched out his hands tring to relax himself. When he saw Kriya entering with a plate of food, he questioned her "honey are you still hungry?"
"This is for you. I'm not that bad wife who would let her husband sleep withoout having a proper dinner."
"You are not bad at all." He said pulling her closer. She smiled at him and fed him lovingly.
"Sorry baby to keep troubling you."
"Shh, the word sorry doesn't suits you." Saying this he engulfed her into a passionate kiss. Surely pregnancy troubles but this trouble is worth taking.
