So, finally Shyama got to know the brothers. Bheem has always been described as unpretentious and Shyama finally sees that in Dev. The gatherings are of joy only when you are equally in a good spirit and Shyama is restless until she spots Arjun. Dhri seems to be at ease here and so is Vishwa. How come Dhri never mentioned Arnav to Shyama before? Since the narration has been in Shyama's perspective, we can only assume what Shyama thinks of Arjun. So, was he really trying to deflect?

She finally found her way to express her regret. What a clever way of showcasing the same! Would Arjun get to see it? Finally the night has come to an end. Waiting to see how the day shines.

The interaction of Shyama with Arjuns brothers was really cute ...

seems like a very well balanced and happy family ...

The kitchen scene really brought out their togetherness ... their closeness ...

Dev was the typical Bhim ... a responsible member of the family closely connected to food ... 😆

The twins were young and playfull ... with Arjun and Yuvi being the serious ones ...

Shyama's restlessness could be felt till Arjun showed up ... 😳

he has definitely stirred up Shyama's interest ...

raising a multitude of questions in her mind after the conversation they had ...

But where is Yuvi ?

Dhri and Vishwa seem quite comfortable and familiar here ... as a place frequently visited ...

I actually wanted to comment yesterday but my thoughts were too scattered and I was drained physically.

Ok, coming to my thoughts -- One thing which striked me in your writing was Bheema/Dev Bhaiyaa's love for Shyama/Kushi. The ease Dhri had with Dev.

I have always felt that Panchalli had turned to Bheema, only when she needed something and the other husbands had declined her wishes (mostly Yudi and Arjun was always away, the twins were too mellow, these are purely my thoughts). Even I have thought that Draupadi had manipulated Bheema a lot, knowing the extend Bheema would go to please her. But she never loved him back as much as he loved her. But he never complained. He only looked for ways to make her happy.

Arjun's silence and Shyama's need to apologize...hmm...I sorted of missed the depth in her apology. For what she wanted to say sorry? for not listening to his words?

The way she apologized using that quote, did remind me of another story but that was using biblical verses not shakesphere...

Btw, I need to thank you, I am currently reading Palace of illusions (so far, I loved it and well, I liked Dhai Maa, now I understand Nilofer's place, I wasn't aware before of such a lady maid). Yagnaseni just arrived two days back (thanks to flipkart)

Dev, there is no other man better than Joh to play this role, Dev, his smile and dimple... I feel so...perfect for Dev! wonderful casting!

Dhri, aha, am a great fan of this man after I met him in person after the IIT Rendezvous 2013. he is powerpacked energy left me floating for days. Of course, I have noted him for his performance earlier but in person, in real life...no words...he is the best, dedicated and apt for Dhri's role...

The twins, well these two will fit the bill perfectly!

Earlier the phrase "unacknowledged regret" had caught my fancy hence I didn't realise the whole meaning of that line...instead, kept on repeating that phrase and well, mind stuck some memory chords in which I was drowned...when I came out of that memory, I hurried to the next line not wanting to go back to that memories nor wanting to cherish that phrase...

Btw, forgot to mention in my earlier comment, that I loved the boys gathering in the kitchen with Dev at helm, now with each character having a face, its easy to visualize the scene...it painted a sweet and lovely picture which brings a smile on my face...

I am going through each page of this thread for the missed out pictures and clues...Loved the Godavari waters in the evening sun, lively and lovely picture...also the courtyard was speaking volumes...
