Khushi is in a very fragile state. She is just too much insecure and still has that slight hesitation in her that she may not be good for Arnav. Also, she just knows him from few days to know how much he struggles in voicing out his feelings. It is the knowing period for the couple.

As I said before, Arnav doesn't believe in all that but he knows that it is very important for every married women. So when he did that, he knew what he was doing even though he doesn't believe in it. Part of him wanted to do it for her.😊
