So beautiful.

This chapter wiped off all the bitterness I had towards the character of Shyam.

I admire this valiant Shyam.

My heart went out to lightening.She is such a swwetheart.I wish her a sppedy recovery.

So what's next ?

Will he return to the castle?

I am really worried about his hatred towards his unborn daughter.

Whoa Lin, I can understand what you are so excited about...

The whole chapter is littered with teasing hints and clues about the General's past and maybe more about his curse and future as well...

The mother being in the picture, the little girl he sees whom he addressed as being born to be his WIFE???????? I read that para thrice to make sure I understood correctly... She also seems to be a creature, a mate for the monster that he is. And then of course Khushi would be his cure, his escape from the other life, the other form...

His loyalty to Lightening was heart touching... I am very conflicted by the General in your story Lin, I do not hate him nor do I love him, but he evokes sympathy at times and anger at other times... A very well written character...

So I guess this means he will go back to the castle now... Sigh tough times ahead... I do hope that Arnav doesn't go all masochist and evil on Khushi now that the General will also be in the picture 24/7...

Interesting turn of events...

Beautiful chapter, Aquiline.

I had tears in my eyes whilst reading this update, especially when Lightning was getting ready to be shot down. And then, the General's one word 'halt' made me realize that he was not evil at all but one misunderstood and tortured soul.

the way he protects lightning is somethg i never expected frm this character...he has only lightning...she matters the most..

the unborn child has all her fathers hatred that she needs in her life

n ifever if he is back then yes trouble is knocking at arnav n khushi's near happiness..

in all i was thinking what of anjali?the poor woman thats all..its really an overall an interseting update line thanks

The connection you showed between jha and lightning is beautiful. what a poignant update, i really felt for the general, whatever his role may be as it is still shady, but this one quality of him standing by his horse has really impressed me and earned my respect.

Hey lin,Interesting update. So General is reminded of his mother in battlefield.. is it some sort of past that he carries burden of...like Lordy .. Its nice to see this side of him for his horse... he was willing to be out of service but not loose her...his only companion... Well some lines stuck with me... sounds interesting..for General...his home is where his heart is...and his heart is where his cure is... looking forward to more...

Excellent Aquiline loved it a lot

I used to think may be shyam is behaving so due to his helplessness and insecurities the bond he has with lightning says it all . But I think he just have to feel his wife's love like lightnings maybe he have to spend little more time with her for that.
