It is your gulabo charm that attracts the chanda in me,

F-I-N-A-L-L-Y!!
Oh my dear gulabo,
what a wicked tale you weave (in a non-horror way!)
I am still a bit lost for words here!
(although that might be my general writing reader's block, not just your tale!)
And I know if I write you a Lunatics list, or another Looney musing,
I am FO SHO gonna come across as try hard commentator.
So I am just going to say I effing loved this tale. Especially because you ek baar phir reminded me of that Shaatir dimag u possess and the reason why you are collaborating with The "expelliarmus".
Yup. You guessed it right my friend.
I am talking about the "ASR paradigm" you just created here!!
Its so original that it needs your copyright (I kid u not, get tips from them lawyers asap).
So as I was saying you had me at ASR bro. And than I had to do a double take on Akash Singh Raizada!! And do I love his douchebag self in this story or what.
When you laid out the clues and excerpt, I knew Kay would be exacting some kind of revenge, even if it wasnt inspired by IPK (because K! never got to do that, dammit non-redemption track!)..but little did I know it was completely different kind of revenge. The one that lavanya should have exacted..but ne'er got to! And well Kay might have had to if the show stuck around long enough *sigh*.
Ok so moving back to THE ASR. I absolutely loved his character here, because the traits you brought out were so quintessential Akash..except a sexier, non-chashme-bhadoor (unless its the indie nerdy look..you know what I mean?) version. He may not be a try hard in the show, but he was the younger cousin living in the shadow of a successful older cousin. He definitely never stood up for the woman he supposedly loved, but rather made fun of her chameli tel, karela sabji and what not..and let his mum call her "khoon bhari tang" 5 life. And so I abso-freaking-lutely loved this take on him.
Oh and how I love the whole business world meets family feud setting. You write it with such ease, no complicated jargon...no melodrama either. And the jokes about "family honour". A special mention to the nouveau-riche line!
As always I loved how you weaved in the flash back and real-time all in this one tale. And whats more you even gave us a diary update! Be careful S, its becoming your signature haha!
You have a way about your Arnavs, he is always effing magical, flawless mostly..like I want that dish served right up and than I devour it like George, ok? ok? Cause he taste better than my italian nonna's cooking (not to think gutter! all the previous warnings still apply!) No but seriously! Again this sort of arnav is so so plausible in the whole IPK setting. You again took his very important trait which was always overshadowed by his naak wala gussa! Yup his casual nonchalance, ASR dont care what the world thinks, I do what I want..trait. I loved loved loved it!! And a casually laughing ASR makes my acidity increase which results in gas..and lots of extra noise apart from dhak dhak. ANYHOW moving on from side topics. So this arnav, I love how he doesnt have to try at all..I love that he doesnt jump to "conclusions" and rather listens and processes like a shaatir dimag wala CEO should! The one who loves Kay for her antics. I loved how you played on all these things..S you be a genius and you we need to brain transplant in a few weeks time, when I sit my exams..ok?
I think my favouritest scene has to be the Arnav and Akash show down. Oh man. IS IT HOT IN HERE?! or what. ""You never got it, did you Akash? I'm not special. Neither are you. She however, is."This should have been like a tagline to the tale. PURFECT.
Oh and how I love the way arnav and khushi came to be. In the simple meant to be kind of way.
And now for the FINALE. KHUSHI GUPTA. Hell REALLY hath no fury like a woman scorned. I loved her fiery character here. Absolutely makes sense for her to be the way she was insecure in bits, but self-assured when it comes to proving her self. I like when you write semi-imperfect characters. I dont even know what more to say about her..but one thing that struck with me was when she was comparing arnav and akash. I absolutely hate those kind of scenes..because they always sound so bias, and a stupid reason for choosing whom to love. BUT BUT I loved the way you put that scene here. Because you did tell us why arnav was better than akash..but through the rest of the story you went and told us it was more than just the fact that arnav was better than akash...it was how a+k were together. I dont know if it makes any sense...!! (also HolyMeasuringTape!! This is one long comment...and I am super duper sorry!).
AND now to my favouritest part of S stories...the A/N 😉I loved the inspiration for this FF. I am have to make a list for this one, bas!
1. The fact that I got to learn something new, ek baar phir..about greek mythology, and the story of Theseus and Ariadne!
2. How well it fit in the IPK saga..or rather as usual perfect execution S 👏 (non-sarcastic)
3. The scene or bit of IPK that inspired you..I hated watching a sacrificial lamb K! I dont really think she was selfish even here.
4. The scene from the greek myth that inspired you..and you wrote a non-damsel in distress heroine!! That to me was the best part of it all.
And now I CANNOT wait for the next one. As always I love that you guys are trying out new genres, and re-inventing ArHi over and over again. It always keeps reading and commenting on the tales "Fresh" and non-boring.
Thank you for the wonderful tale...and can you start the next one ALREADY?!
Also thank you for being 100times more patient than I am. ILUD.
Chanda
ps. And as usual I got carried away...
