On seeing the title and having read part 1, had a hunch Khushi might be kidnapped by Shyam... happy to see I am right... so nice to be right about something as usually my guesses are pretty wide off the mark!
Sensible of Khushi to make copies and hide those in Buaji's house and to tell everyone she was going to meet Arnav at the office. Otherwise, Shyam would always be able to say that he and Khushi eloped, as Arnav fears for a moment. Just hope someone will have the brainwave to go through her things there, giving them a clue about Shyam's perfidy and making him their number one suspect. Poor Guptas, they must be ruing the fact that they didn't stop or question Khushi further even when they were alarmed by her haste and her dishevelled appearance... Khushi is missing and they have no clue why. Arnav's worry for Khushi's wellbeing and panic is touching, especially the way he keeps reassuring everyone that he'll find her. Despite his panic, Arnav working things out logically and questioning all the witnesses is a realistic touch that was completely missing from the show. "Khushiji came inside through the gate, Sir. I saw her walking toward the office entrance," one guard said. For Shyam to nearly run Khushi down with his car, he should also have been within the AR premises... as he came through the gate, wouldn't the guards have asked for his particulars before letting him drive through... from the way it has been described doesn't seem like Khushi got too far in through the gate before being waylaid by Shyam. Even if he hid with his body his act of chloroforming Khushi, why did the guards not know about Khushi leaving with Shyam? All this happened in the car park and not outside on the road! Her supposed lover? No, no, Khushi wouldn't do that to him. Never!Really pleased to see Arnav not jumping to the conclusion that Khushi eloped with Shyam. Despite his agitation and fears, he works out that she did not go with him of her own free will... his head and his heart working in tandem give him a glimpse of the truth, making him suspect that Shyam might have been lying all along! Khushi... Khushi... his heart murmured. He looked around. It was getting very dark. Khushi was scared of the dark. He clenched his fists. He hoped there were lights wherever she was, that she was not alone or hungry, that she could see the stars... his love and apprehension for her is beautifully depicted. Also very glad that, rather than going it alone, Arnav turns to others for help [unlike in the show, where everyone's solo heroics generally ended in further complications if not outright disaster!] Sensible of him... hopefully he wouldn't underestimate Shyam or let his own temper get out of hand, thus giving Shyam the advantage. Looking forward to the time when Arnav will bash up Shyam while rescuing Khushi.
