Aman and Khushi had gone out to do a background check on Shyam, whilst Arnav was lost in the conversation he just had with Mr. Shyam Manohar Jha, something was definitely wrong with that man but he couldn't put his hands onto what. Now, thinking back at the conversation he realised that Shyam never asked when and how Akash died. Did he really know it or was he really not concerned?
His trance was broken when he noticed a notification on his laptop, signaling the upcoming e-mail. He opened it with great interest and waited for the picture to upload. At the same time, Aman and Khushi entered in his cabin with a bunch of papers.
The photo uploaded and a picture of a man in his late twenties appeared. He seemed to be quite athletic for his age and had that charming yet weird smile which seem to hide a lot of things that at this moment Arnav couldn't decipher.
Changing the direction of his thoughts, he looked at the background. He seemed to be in a golf arena dressed in plain blue shirt.
"Here is a print-out of Akash's picture, hand it to out Forensic doc, it will help him in the identification process, and do you have anything new Aman or are you putting up that happy face simply to impress Khushi?" queried Arnav with one eyebrow up.
"What the hell are you saying dude, I mean...why would...I do," stammered Aman before Khushi replied more confidently.
"I thought this was a strict working area where jokes were strictly prohibted"
"They are, but Aman is always like those scared kittens when he is around me but today he seems to be very happy so I was curious," retorted Arnav.
"Of course, poor guy would be scared at the grumpy face you put up. Hmph Laad Governor" mumbled Khushi loud enough for both of them to hear.
"Excuse me, what did you just called me?" demanded Arnav.
"Oh, that, it's Laad Governor, your new nickname," blurted Khushi.
"What the, how dare..."raged Arnav before being interrupted by Aman.
"Can we concentrate on the case if the 2 of of have fought enough," preached Aman.
Aman and Khushi took a seat and Khushi revealed whatever she has been able to find out.
"ASR, as you told us to find out about the background of Shyam. We did so, and well, the results are quite blurry. So, we found out very little about him, he is specialised in management and well, surprisingly he was working in a private firm in Canada till 6 months ago, when in fact there are no travel details which shows that he had ever moved to Canada."
"Hmmm have you contacted that firm?" questioned Arnav deeply pondering over that case.
"We did and well that firm was closed because government officials found out that they were operating by illegal means, so we couldn't reach anyone" answered Aman this time.
"Ok, anyway, that might not be important but this surely explains that Shyam went to Canada by means of fraud, which is why there is so less detail about him."
"ASR, you said that Shyam told you that Akash moved to Canada some one year ago but we never found any traveling informations regarding that," responded Khushi.
"And Shyam never told us that even he moved to Canada, he just said that he moved geographically!" exclaimed Aman.
"Which shows us that both of them went to Canada by fraud, Shyam returned to India maybe after his firm was closed down and well, can't say anything about Akash," said Arnav utterly confused.
"ASR, I believe some foul play is going on somewhere, I feel we are missing something very important here" cajoled Khushi.
"No wonder, i've got the same feelings," agreed Arnav.
"At least they agree on one point," murmured Aman more to himself.
"Did you say something?"questioned Arnav.
Aman merely nodded negatively before saying, "Let's do one thing, let's track that Shyam's house. Then we can go there and question him."
"Go ahead, I will see if I can get something from his e-mail account," answered Arnav already searching the e-mail of Shyam.
"Ok, come Khushi," urged Aman as they started moving out of the Arnav's cabin when they heard a volcanic "WHAT THE!"
"What's wrong Arnav?" asked Aman concerned.
" The E-mail account from which I have just received that Akash's pic has been disabled," said Arnav in a daze.
" This is a clear indication that something's wrong with this Shyam guy. Well, let me just go and find out his address, only he can explain everything now," said Aman.
"Quick Aman!" ordered Arnav.

Fortunately for them, they had been able to find out the address of Shyam. Aman urged Arnav and Khushi to go to Shyam's place while he will be digging out pieces of information. Shyam's house was a little distanced from their office which cost them a lot of time to reach there.
Once, they reached they were confused because the area was relatively remote but there was many houses close to each other which made it difficult for them to guess which one was Shyam's.
"Let's go to that one," Arnav pointed at the first house in their way.
Khushi nodded and followed him.
They knocked at, waited for somebody to open the door. Luckily, the door was opened quite quickly by an elderly man.
"Yes," he prodded not recognizing the 2 people.
"Uhmmm, we are looking for Mr Shyam Jha and..."
"Oh, Shyam, but you came at the wrong house young man, his house is that dark brown one," he said whilst pointing to a house at the far end.
"Ok, thanks, by the way are you close to Mr. Shyam?" asked Khushi.
"Yeah, we used to attend golf matches together and we practice it together every Sunday!" said the old man.
"Ok, anything more about him?" questioned Arnav.
"But why are you asking me about him?" asked the old man suddenly on guards.
"Actually, we fear that he may be involved in a murder, so..." responded Arnav.
"Shyam and Murder, you must be joking young man, he is the kindest guy around, I don't believe he can do such things," replied the man.
"Well, that's for us to decide, anyway thanks for your help," acknowledged Arnav.
"Come Khushi," Arnav caught her hand and started moving towards Shyam's house.
"Wait, he isn't here at this time, he just went out some 30 minutes ago," said the man.
"Do you know where he went?" demanded Arnav.
"Yes, he usually goes to work at this time and he will come home very late,"professed the man.
"You know where he works?" asked Khushi taking the lead.
"No, I never asked and he never told me!" he answered.
"Ok, thanks again for your help" thanked Khushi.
The man nodded and closed his door. Both Arnav and Khushi decided to have a close look at Shyam's house in the hope that maybe they would find something. They went around his house but found nothing suspicious. Arnav even planned to barged him, but Khushi had to remind him on time that they couldn't do so, because they had nothing concrete against Shyam.
Tring Tring!
His phone rang and he answered almost immediately.
"ASR, we have a guest at our bureau here,"said Aman.
"Who?"
"Anjali, the ex-girlfriend of Shyam,"
"How did you find her?"
" I didn't find her, she found the way to our office," joked Aman.
"Aman, be serious!"
"Ok, so, girl named Anjali came to know about this murder case, she claimed that she maybe knew the victim, she just came here to confirm and indeed she was right about Akash being the victim..."
"What more?"
"So, as I said she was Shyam's girlfriend and was living at Shyam's house and she knew Akash quite well since both Shyam and Akash was good friends and Akash was living there as a tenant,but she broke up with Shyam some months ago and came to India and she claims that after that she met Akash here!"
"Came to India?" repeated Arnav,"Does that mean she was in Canada with Shyam?"
"You guessed it right dude,"
"This is so complicating, anyway hold her there, we are coming soon," said Arnav.

"Miss Anjali right?" questioned Arnav.
She nodded positively.
"How did guess that Akash was the victim, I mean we just let the media know about the basics and there wasn't even a picture of him, so..."
"Actually, I got to know that the victim was wearing a Rolex watch and Akash always used to wear a Rolex watch and the area you found his body in, is very close to the golf arena he used to visit, so..." Anjali answered and from his answer Arnav guessed that she was hiding something. Nevertheless, he continued with his procedure without prodding too much into what she didn't wanted him to know.
"So, you know Akash closely?"
"Yeah, he was a very good friend with my ex boyfriend and I...I..know him because of that!" answered Anjali before wiping out the beads of sweat near her temple.
"Do you know where Shyam is right now?"
"No!" was the prompt answer.
"You know that he is in India?"
"I don't, I told that guy that I never met Shyam after our break up!"
"Ok.."
"But why are you asking about Shyam when Akash is the victim here?"
"Because we suspect that Shyam is involved in this!"
"Are you crazy, Shyam and a murderer, you must be joking! Listen I know I broke up with him but I can assure you that he is not the type who would murder people around!"
"Why did you break up with him then?" questioned Arnav.
"That's a personal question and I'm not going to answer that!"
"Ok, so you illegally went to Canada with Shyam, right?"
"I don't need to answer that,"
"Fine, you said that Akash and Shyam was very close and well, you only knew him because he was your boyfriend's friend!"
"Yes!"
"Then why did you go to meet him after coming to India when you broke up with Shyam."
The question threw Anjali off guard, and made her fidget on her seat.

"The one who found the corpse," added Arnav.
"Yeah!"
"What about him?" questionned Arnav.
"Guess who is his present girlfriend," answered Aman.
