Beautiful OS Anu!!! 👏👏 This one is really heart-touching.. After reading the first part I felt so bad for little Diya.. She was so hurt :((.. Virat tried his best to reach there on time but he couldn't make it.. Poor guy! :( That flashback scene was so cute.. Happy family ❤️.. But fate had some other plans for them.. I loved the ending especially the moment when Virat said he didn't miss Manvi because Diya is exactly like her mother.. Lovely.. The convo with Mr. Fluffy was very cute 😊.. Superb work!! Loved it ❤️❤️.. Take care 😊

''I love U'' I'll start vt this three magical words..
Oh my!! how awesome u are!! u rocked it emotionally.. shud i say about the dialogues and ur language??? sorry the forum is not enuf!!

''ray of sunshine'' beautiful topic and the content was as fresh like a ray of sun shine,, the lesson virat learnt and hereafter the turn of events is like a ray of sunshine.. trust Anu di for the brillliaantt topic selection!!

'perspective' this is one of the facts that i found playing a dominant role in ur story! let me explain it..
well,, the way u gave the strict boss virat's attitude.. the staff standing in tippy toes to extract the information vt 'wat's dis time vt our hitler' thoughts.. the crying secretary.. and ''filthy rich, heart-stabbingly handsome and mesmerizingly charming''.. finally ''They all sagged in their respective chairs in relief as the lean and mean firing machine had left for the day restoring their peace of minds. Their rest of the day is going to go in peace and calm.''
all these gave me the picture that this person is rude, arrogont and perfect.. this is in the perspective of the staff who is witnessing his daily routine.. the main picture i got is, virat is a 'mechanical' person..
but then u gave me the same person,, in his own perspective!!
in a second, the whole opinion i created about him smashed and new sets of opinions got created in me...

i did thought that he's heading to meet manvi until the 'parents were wishing their kids about their performance' part..
then the father-daughter meeting rocked!!! (i loved the name 'diya')
it was suchhh a pathetic situation that already a late virat becoming more late becoz of traffic and had to land up in custody for public nuisance!!!
u gave the picture that he's not a bad father.. he just tried his level best to reach to his dear daughter's event!

a perfect place to play the flashback di!!! such a perfect writer u are!!
Diya running away to her room and the heartwrenching "I want Mommy back!", virat's emotional yet childish complain to manvi's photo ''You just enjoy the show from there! How can you be so heartless Manvi?''
''I stand at the door of her room. It was so easy for Manvi to make her smile.'' all these dialogues were beyond beautiful!! just loved the different emotions dat was erupting in him.. as a husband he's missing her to the core, as a father his realisation dat he cant passify his daughter like his wife does.. the perfect recalling of a sweeettt flashback.. mahnnn u totally rocked it!!! such an emotional impact it leaves!!
the flashback gave the beautiful moments of the threesome, the lady dominance!, the 'no longer i can stand mad' father, the daughter backing manvi, the technically and sweetly problem solving wife.. u presented just a happy family before the hardblow.. the flashback made me to MISS manvi alot!! fate plays cruel and most ugly games.. life is interesting vt difficult and different turn overs!!

the little part where my mannu came in, and her dialogues!!! wow!! she's alwaysss amazing!!
"She is a baby Virat and you broke my wedding cutlery last week remember? Diya come here honey. Don't cry. SEE, YOU MADE MY BABY CRY!!! Daddy is crazy honey, lets go, we are not talking to him anymore."
"Diya apologize to papa. Tell him it is an honest mistake and you will never interrupt his work again."
she's always the BEST mom!! she just handles dose sweet moments tactfully, reasonably and adorably!!! thanks for making manvi's little entry in the story mind blowing!!

then my goddd such a perfect and sweet dad in virat!! sensed the 'addicted' father in him...
I know all these have names but I do not even remotely remember them. "What was your name? Frank? Charlie? Mark?"
Fluffy. I have a small request sir. You see, my beautiful daughter is really, really mad at me. I mean I totally deserve it. I am a silly, stupid, cranky, father. But, I love her very, very much. Can you please talk to her for me? Tell her that her papa loves her more than anything else in the world and is very, very sorry for coming late."
"Fluffy sir. Tell her that papa is very sorry for that and he will take his little princess to the zoo tomorrow and her grandma's dayafter, do her homework even and make her favourite chocolate pancakes for dinner tonight."
from talkin to his daughter thru 'Mr.Fluffy' to controlling back his tears and passifying her.. he's suchhh a great father!! his realisation dat his little angel is missing him more than his mom, even though he's still here and her mom is no more was such an emotional moment.. he learnt that his time vt daughter is deciding her antics.. he is rectifying it now.. he's making upto her now and is accepting the fate and seing the adorable mannu in her.. virat and his character in this story reaaallly rocks!!!

and 'diya'.. trust Anu di to design a sweet angel!!! Ria and Nikki are already ruining our lives.. goodness this is only an os if not 'Diya' vl also dominate us vt her cuteness!
"Mr.Fluffy. Tell papa that he is always going away to the office and I miss him, very, very much. More than mommy."
she's such a sweetheart.. she is missing her mom and fearing that she's loosing her time vt her dad.. loved her!!

and perfect fullstop to the story ''We make chocolate pancakes together and eat them sitting in front of the TV - watching cartoons. Atleast, we have this special privilege, Manvi would never have let us do this.''
how pathetic life is!!

coming back to 'perspective'.. a person out there judging virat by his attitude in his office vl never know his suffering and mind blowing character! for me, perspective is a huge philosophy vt vch i dwell.. i mean its the very theory vt vch i judge other people.. there's always two sides for a coin.. we can never judge people vt their attitude in a particular situation.. deep down different people carry different stories in life.. this os was like formulating my theory of life for me.. this touched my heart alot and i saw the different virat and his mentality at each situation.. one wud just tell dat he has an arrogant character and has no values for other's feelings but in reality he was so tensed dat he cudnt keep up his word and promise to his 'one week repeatedly nagging daughter' who is searching love and nothing more!

such a beautiful and deep story di.. it carried alot of hidden meanings, truth and alot of emotions!!
can trust u blindly in ur stories..

thats it! well um too busy these days and um sorry i'm late and um still working like a snail in all the comments for u and others.. um sorry if i delayed more..

as usual and after a long time,, get my hugs and kisses and love and love only!!! ❤️
hats off o my loving di vt super awesome brain!!
catch u soon
get going!!!

Okay, I am completely incapable of leaving a story alone. Yes, please don't expect any finished stories from me, because even if I do finish a story, I am pretty sure I am going to go back and open it up somehow! Hmpph!! Sorry but this story was haunting me and I just have to add a couple more updates to this. Bear with me please! I am going to send PMs this time.

Ray of sunshine # 3

On a deserted island in Mexico was a small cave in the midst of a dense forest. In it sat a shabby looking girl, with unkempt hair and sad eyes. She had been in this cave since the last one year or more, she didn't know for sure. It was like living under the rock. She had completely lost track of time and where she was. Initially, she used to count days by picking up a stone and depositing it in a corner every morning when a plate with food was thrown in front of her. By as days passed by, she kept losing hope - hope of ever going back. She was surrounded in an atmosphere of perpetual darkness and the only light were rays of sunshine she had managed to lock in her heart as memories - memories of her past - of her husband - his love, his passion, his promises, his faith; memories of their daughter - of the time when she first held her, the time she first called her mama, the first time she walked to her and put her tiny hands around her neck and hugged her, the way she wrapped around her in her sleep, her laugh and giggle filled in the air around her. She smiled a sad smile.

She thought about them all day; it was her only hope of making it alive. She was a scientist, a nuclear scientist. She had started working on a confidential project for the government a few years ago. She had a lot of crucial information which would give them a way to develop the same kind of warfare the most powerful country in the world had - if not greater. They tortured her for the technology everyday.

She begged and pleaded them. "Please let me go. I have a little baby at home. I do not know anything about what you are asking me. I do not have that kind of clearance levels." she lied.

Then she just stopped talking. It was of no use. They hit her anyways, they electrocuted her anyways. It was never ending. She gave up. She just waited. She knew they would realize one day or the other that she wasn't going to be useful to them in anyway and then what would they do to her? They would kill her. It wasn't going to matter - her family must be thinking that she had died an year ago anyways. That was how they had framed her disappearance. They had her car crash into a huge truck carrying inflammable materials and it all burned into a fatal fire - supposedly killing her and her friend Fatima. Only they weren't the ones in the car that day. Fatima was dead now. She had told them what they wanted and they had killed her the next minute.

She used to be amazed at the twist of her fate when she thought about how nobody would even know what she had gone through in the past one year; about what kind of humiliating torture she had been subjected to.But, all that physical torture was nothing compared to her emotional grief, her heart ached to reach her family, to see and know about how they were doing. Oh, what would she not do to look at them for one last time? She knew there was no hope!

She often wondered what Diya be doing now? Her love, her life, Virat; She knew he would pull himself together for their daughter but what must he be going through now? He must be so alone too. How hard must it be for him to raise her alone?

"Virat, I am going to come home late tonight. Can you please fix Diya and yourself dinner?"

"What?? Manvi!!!!"

"What? Virat!!! It's just one day!"

"Diya makes such a fuss about eating when you aren't around."

"Acha? And you must be knowing that from the last time you made her eat dinner by yourself, which was when she was two years old. Right?"

"You have no idea what that angelic looking monster is capable of..."

"Seriously, you both are impossible! What are you guys going to do without me?huh?"

"Without you, we would die baby. We got no chance! I am going to order pizza. Better be home by dinner time."

"Virat!!! I cannn't..."

"See ya in an hour. Love you!!"

Her heart throbbed in desolation and tears streamed out of her swollen and tired eyes springing a tornado of inconsolable agony inside her...

~~~
Far, far away from all the desperate cries of a mother, the other two victims on this cruel fate, were trying to make the best of the situation god had put them in. Even with all his power and will, he could not change his destiny even for a day. He missed his Manvi, so, so much. Sometimes he was amazed that he was still alive and breathing. Everything he did from morning until evening reminded him of her in someway or the other. And the biggest proof of their love for each other was their little princess, their darling daughter. She was always in front of his eyes. She was a tiny little bundle of sunshine his love had left for him to look forward to. She became the reason for his existence.
"Diya, shall we go home?" he asked his daughter who had fallen asleep on his lap. She didn't reply, she just held onto him more tightly. Like promised, Virat had spend the weekend completely with her and everything seemed to be good with Diya's small little world again. And she was tired from all the running around with her cousin Kiara. They were visiting Virat's mom. Virat's mom stayed with Virat's older sister Vyshali as she was a doctor and Vanshika mom needed continuous medical monitoring.
"Virat, mom and I need to talk to you about something." Vyshali signaled him to come inside putting Diya away.
"What is it mom?" he asked going inside with a confused expression.
They made him sit in front of them and looked at each other nervously as they didn't know how he would react to their opinion.
"Mom? Aaj ke date pe..please. What's going on? Di?"
"Virat..there is no good way to say this..."
"I don't care what way it is said as - just spill.."
"Beta, you know I love Manvi like my own daughter right?"
"Ofcourse Mom. Why all that now?"
"I just don't want you to misunderstand us beta..We love Manvi but right now Manvi isn't here. Diya needs a mother Virat. Please don't get me wrong beta, I think you should start looking forward..."
Her voice trailed off unable to utter those words in front of this fuming eyes. They wanted him to get married again. It was the logical thing to do. He wasn't even thirty. What would he do with the rest of his life? He needed a life partner. Either they would find him one or he needs to start looking, start dating again.
"Mom, I know where you are going with this, I am not having this discussion - NOW OR IN THE FUTURE. I need to get my daughter home. Please, never ever bring this up again.
"Virattt, Mom is just looking out for you and Diya. Diya needs a mother. Don't you think?.."
"...Diya doesn't need a mother, Diya needs her mother and Manvi is with us, she will always be..." he started choking on his words.
"Virat..we don't mean an ill sweetheart..."
He turned away from his mother.
"Di, I am sorry. I really have to go.."
"Virat!!!!...Virat"
"How do we convince him beta? He is still so young, he needs to look towards his future. What about Diya?"
"Mom, give him sometime. We just need to convince him in a right way and we need to find the right match." his sister sighed looking at Virat storm out of the house with Diya.
