Krishna was in her room waiting for Pintu's call so much had changed since he had left everything was the same but different at the same time she was with her family physically but wasn't with them mentally. All she could think about was him if she wasn't worried about how he was managing she replayed the few moments they had together and wished she could have behaved different. She wished she had gotten to know him better his likes, dislikes but more than that she wished she had shown him how much he had meant to her. She had known that this week would be tough on her and that she would miss him a lot but she hadn't realized the depth of her feelings for him or how much a part of her life he had become. Every time she had a problem she expected him to come and help her fix it and where ever she went she always expected to find him outside on his bike waiting for her. But the worst part was not hearing from him she had tried to call him on his cell phone but it always went to voice mail. She didn't know what to do and so finally decided to go to the coaching centre and see if Bablooji had heard from him but once there she saw the rest of pintu's friends and they looked as depressed as she felt. She went up to them and asked if they had heard from Pintuji and his friend Rahul said that he hadn't taken his phone since his dad had brought it for him. She was really disappointed and asked if he had spoken to him though and he said no but his aunty lived in the same apartment building that Pintu was staying in and she had been looking out for him and said he was doing ok. Krishna was a little relieved to find out that he was at least doing ok and told him thanks and she had been about to leave and didn't know why but asked if they wanted to have lunch with her. They all were a little shocked at first but they finally agreed and went with her.
Initially they were all quiet but after a while they became more at ease with each another when they started speaking about Pintu, whilst listening to them speak Krishna realized why she had wanted to be in their company. Even though she knew she could ask her father anything she felt kind of shy to do so and she had wanted to be around others who knew him and who she could speak freely to about him. She had been craving to have some sort of connection with him and here with his friends listening to their stories and adoration of him she had found it and seeing how happy they where thought maybe they felt the same way to. A tear fell from her eyes as she remembered the moment when they had told her how he had photocopied the book she had needed for her final exams. She had been shocked to find this out she had thought that babloo had given it to her and told them that. It amazed her that from the moment they met that he had always been there for her and wished she could thank him but she knew that with him she didn't need to coz he never expected anything for the things he did for the people around him.
Just then she heard her Chancal calling her to eat she looked at her phone and didn't want to leave in case she missed his call but when her mom came for her and told her she had to come especially since this was the first time she had cooked for every1 she went. She didn't know how to refuse so simply took her phone with her and said that she was waiting for an important call but the minute she tasted her food she got a shock of her life and said this is just awful and ran out of the room in tears leaving every1 shocked.
Pintu was also in his room looking at the gifts that Krishna had sent him after a very long time he had thoroughly enjoyed himself all his friends had come and they had been telling him what everyone was doing. He didn't know whether to be jealous to hear that they had spent time with Krishna or impressed at how much she had impressed them that they couldn't stop talking about their bhabi and that she wasn't as bad as they thought she was. After they had left he had started eating the food she had sent he hadn't expected her to do that and had gotten emotional that she had. He then opened the other bag she had sent and saw present and 2 envelopes with it he was like a kid and didn't know what to open first but then decided to open the present first and was surprised to see a phone in it and then opened the 1st envelope and saw money in it and then opened the other and started reading the letter she had sent.
Dear Pintu
I am a bit uncertain as to how to start this letter if u have opened your gift and the other letter first I hope u don't doubt my intention. This week I just received my first paycheck so I wanted to do something for all the people I care for in my life. I bought my dad a new scooter, clothes for my brother and jewelery for my sisters and mom I don't know much about phones so I hope the one I got u is ok. As for the money I know u want to do everything on your own but please for my sake keep it even if u never use. Or if the only way u can keep it is to think of it as a loan than that's perfectly fine as well.
By the time he finished reading the letter he was bowled over by her sweetness and care for him but more than that her simplicity with just a few words she managed to show him how much she cared for him and that she had taken him as her own. He felt bad for being selfish this week and not contacting her there wasn't a minute that he hadn't missed or thought about her and wished that she was near him supporting him. He had replayed the moments they had together all the time especially the last time they had seen each another it was weird but he felt like in their last meeting somehow that had actually been the start of their relationship. The way she was with him, the way she touched him he truly felt that she loved him to and the reason he hadn't really wanted to speak to was in case he had imagined her feelings for him.
Just than the phone vibrated and he saw it was Krishna and smiled and immediately answered it but before he could say anything Krishna started saying how he shouldn't eat any of the food that she sent. She had put too much salt in some and others to less and to throw it away since it all started awful and she was really sorry it was actually the 1st time she had cooked and that next time it would be better. Pintu could hear that she wanted to cry and said that he had thoroughly enjoyed the food and eaten everything and it had tasted great. Krishna was shocked and said how could he it was awful but he insisted that it was delicious and in any case anything sent with a loving heart is always delicious. Krishna finally calmed down and said pintuji u are too much and they both smiled they were both silent for a while both just enjoying knowing the other was on the other line. Finally Pintu broke the silence and said thank u for the phone and for the money and Krishna said I am really glad u keeping it and he replied and said how could I refuse after all this is the first time u are giving me something I will treasure it.
Krishna started blushing and didn't know what to say so simply asked how he was and Pintu said I miss everyone very much Krishna I wanted to call u all but somehow something just stopped me. Krishna felt his aguish at that moment and told him that she knew everyone missed him as well and even if he hadn't phoned she knew everyone understood. He told her thanks and said that it was a little crazy here I met a lot of genuine and fake people to. Some have genuinely liked my ideas but at the moment they can't take a chance on the project coz of their financial situation but to come to them in a few months if he hadn't gotten the financial backing that he needed. Krishna told him not to lose hope and that she knew even if he had to start from the bottom that he will reach his goals through his hard work. Pintu told her thanks Krishna with u having so much faith in me there is no way that I won't be able to fulfill my dreams after that they said goodbye and Pintu told he would phone her the next day.
Pintu had just finished coming from another disappointing business meeting the guy he met just reeked of shadiness and he had a feeling that if he agreed to work with him that he would eventually try to steal his ideas. His thoughts were interrupted when he heard loud voices he looked up and saw a taxi driver being berated by a man who seemed to be his employer for drinking and driving and telling him that he was fired and he would need another driver so not to bother to come back to work. Pintu had been about to walk away when he stopped and he couldn't help but remember Krishna's words about him starting from the bottom to reach his goals. His money would soon start running out if he didn't start supplementing his income soon and also if he managed to start saving his own money he won't need to be dependent on any1. And so he went up to the man and asked if he could apply for the job and that he was a very good driver. The man looked at him up and down and said that he didn't think that he would be a good driver. Pintu smiled at him and said friend I am an excellent driver and if u don't believe give me a day to prove myself.
The man was not only amused by him but also intrigued by this confident young man dressed in his expensive formal clothes and so said that his name was Aditya and that if it u can prove yourself to me u got yourself a job. Pintu immediately hugged him and said he won't regret his decision and said he would start immediately.
