Shashi had immediately summoned Garima and Buaji about what took place a moments ago. He was furious, a lot and it was obvious hadn't the past been enough for Khushi to tolerate and when finally she was coming out of the darkest part of life again the storm was ready to meet her. Moreover Anjali had lied, they should have had understood the first instance but no, how could they when these Raizada's knew how to play their cards.

Khushi on the other hand was totally crumbled, emotionally, socially and physically. She had been trying so hard but the past never seemed to be in her favor of getting rid of it. And now it was out of reach for her to gather. Just as soon as they reached Mumbai it had been difficult to find shelter, when they found one they had to leave it not because of the landlord but the social taunts. Her baby bump had grown and the neighbors weren't fools that they wouldn't understand. Any time they barged in asking various questions about the pregnancy and the father but they had no answer. Then they had decided to finish this matter by letting everyone know the truth and when they told the elder people pushed them out of their house. The doctors had already advised her to opt for abortion as there were many complications ahead and she could even lose her own life. The family had no problem in abortion in fact they were relieved that once it would be over they would get Khushi married to someone else even if they asked for money after knowing that she had been through a relation but it was she who was hell bent on bringing the new lives in this world. They had tried to console her but what she only answered was, "It is not their fault, it was mine so why should they be killed?" Then they had gone to city's best hospital for her to make things better and that she could go through all soundly. Khushi's health had worsened as time passed and they were suggested by the doctor to admit her at least a month before the pains started. She also had to stop her studies. During the time when a woman needs her soul mate most she was alone suffering, unsure about what was to come in her life and that of her baby's. Dr. Ankita had supervised her to undergo an operation but she knew that then again her new ones could get hurt and she didn't take the chance. Before delivery she had been having food and all of a sudden the waters broke down and there was pain but during delivery she had almost thought it was an end for her. No she didn't shriek, she could scream but what was the use when no one was there to hear them she was absorbing all of them gulping them down, clutching the bed sheets and still her mind was possessing about her love only-Arnav. Their night which with held many promises that were never meant to be. The attraction, awe, love, affection all the moments they shared but at the end of the day it all were nothing other than burnt ashes...burnt? How can ashes be burnt? They are called ashes because they are already burnt but maybe she was the ash who was burnt again... In her quite mumbles throughout she could still feel her self saying Arnavji, Arnavji, Arnavji, ...' She didn't know how it all was done till she got distracted with the baby's cries. It was a girls she could recognize and she yearned to hold it in her arms but their was another one too a boy. But it wasn't crying making her all the more depressed when she was passing out and then everything fell black in front of her eyes. She had been injected for 12 hours after that when she woke her parents had put the two sweethearts in her lap lone tears made their way out of her eyes, they were hers it was totally a new sensation for her to go through. Their eyes were open a bit glaring at her and he couldn't help herself from getting them both in an embrace. She felt their heartbeats against her body they were her children, two blessings and she started sobbing. Garima put the babies in the cot and moved towards Khushi to comfort her and she got Khushi into a tight hug "Amma the second baby wasn't crying when doctor held it... what happened after that I don't know but he was fine right?" "He was a blue baby so it took us some time to make him breathe, but he is fine" Khushi tensed and got the two in her arms adoring them and from then onwards she was more conscious about Karan.

Today not much studies happened in school because of the preparations for the evening event. The day was blank and both the kiddos roamed around freely helping anyone in need on the way. They had heard that there was a chief guest too, a big business man.

When Anjali reached home she was quiet for a long time. Arnav was getting ready to go out but his mind was focused on hearing anything about his Khushi though he hid his urge.

Anjali: Arnav I need to talk to you...

Arnav(Forcing out a reasonable answer): Di, we'll talk later right now I am busy

Anjali: It's more important than anything, Chote ... she is struggling to live, your kids are learning to live, she needs you ...

He slammed the door though wanting to hear more he did this because ... there were numerous reasons for that.

Monty was again in search of tactics to trouble the kids and finally he found some. The twins were opening their bags to have lunch when Monty called him to see his Gameboy

Monty: Karan come here see this new gadget. I got it for my birthday and Aleisha you can come too. The twins were sure that whatever the reason this was also some kind of trick. They both agreed to go but be cautious. As they went more closer they spotted thumbnails on the ground to hurt them but they carefully chose their path.

Aleisha: Show...

They heard someone coming on the same path and turned around. He was someone ... maybe THE CHIEF GUEST?! And there were pins just few inches away when Karan ran to him and held him back. Yes the guest was none other than Arnav. Then he left him and carefully bent down while Arnav looked in astonishment. Karan gathered all the pins cupping his hands and threw them in the dustbin. He returned to Arnav

Karan: Sorry I stopped you in your track but would have got hurt otherwise now you can go.

Arnav: But how did you know that there were these pins?

Karan: Actually my friend kept it for me but I escaped and then you came so that is why...

Arnav: It's okay and thankyou and about your friend I will see him

And ruffling his hair he proceeded towards the office.

They were waiting for Khushi when Arnav saw them sitting idle on bench and went to accompany them. He sat down and started talking to them

Arnav: What is your name?

"Karan"

Gesturing towards his sister she spoke herself

"Aleisha"

Arnav: Wow you both have incredible names but your surname?

Karan: Ummm... Nahin battaein ge to chalega? (Would it work if we don't tell?)

Arnav: Yeah that's fine with me.

Aleisha: Have you eaten food?

Arnav: Nope.

Karan: Then you can share with us

And both of them unpacked their boxes.

Arnav: No you two have it I am fine.

Karan: We have plenty and mumma is bringing more for us so don't worry.

They had samosas in lunch and Arnav complimented the taste

Arnav: They are very tasty hmmm

Aleisha: Mumma is the best know, in every way.

Arnav: And papa?

Karan: Who toh hain hi nahin (We have no papa)

He suddenly realized that he had spoken what he shouldn't have and reacted by saying

Karan: Actually I meant that he is out of town.

Khushi was distracted by the alarm and she realized it was time for the function she had to get ready quick. She hurried downstairs into the kitchen and took out the pastries. The family was in the hall and they wanted to speak to her but right now she was not in the mood and left saying, "Please any of you come afterwards when we come back at 5.30 pm."

The ceremony had started and twins were nervous as Khushi hadn't reached yet. Just before their turn. They spotted her hurrying in and she saw them too and wished them best of luck. She was too busy adjusting herself with a chair that she missed the award and there was someone else too with his back towards her for picking the award. Aleisha and Karan's name was announced and she was extremely happy for both of them. Just as they walked on stage the guest turned making her face the impossible her Arnavji was there. She started feeling weak again. To her astonishment they seemed quite happy and waved her from the stage and also gave Arnav side hug before receiving the trophies. They came running towards her and hugged her she reciprocated feeling extremely insecure and told them to come as the function was over.

Karan: Mumma please wait for a while we have made new friend, the guest, he is very nice please wait.

Khushi: (She caressed them both) Baby please let's go home now some time later we will meet.

They sensed the sadness in her voice and agreed and Karan doubted whether she met that woman who had come yesterday.

They had reached the car and were getting in when Aleisha saw Arnav she dragged Khushi by her arm there making her face one of the worst. Arnav was himself shocked... so these were his own children...no father meant him.

She had changed her attire, she was not the same Khushi anymore. She was not chamkilli her clothes were white except for her purple lace, duppata and tights she was wearing. Her hair were tied, she didn't let them lose as he had liked. The duppata was spread around her body and not simply in her neck and also her sleeves were full in the scorching heat. She didn't look lively but worn out. She made Aleisha sit in and this time there was no eye lock either. She was going when her duppata tangled with his watch but this time she didn't wait for him to free she tore it at the end and went on making him all the more shocked.
