~~~Chapter 6 (i) ~~~~
Time was stopped. Virat has passed out and was resting I his room whereas maanvi was in shock. She was sitting in her room silently with Pinky and vanshika surrounding them whereas anger of Madan knew no bound and so was of Vijay. Raghvendra , anagad and vinay were trying to calm them down. Vijay was really very much pissed with the deed of his son and Madan was not able to believe that in few hours her daughter's world turned upside down, just opposite of what he has imagined. Somewhere he was feeling guilty for what had happened with Angad as he had always treated him like his son and so was his anger for Virat. He has also treated him as his son and his anger was mostly because of his thinking that if there was any thing going on in his mind about maanvi he could have asked or shared it with him but no, he approached this way, the most embarrassing one. Same was with Vijay, he was not angry but hurt that his son , whom he always treated as his friend ,was not trusting him enough to share something special or some important feelings of his life but let them come out in such an irresponsible way!!!
During all this chaos, One person who was silent spectator of all this was Taani . She was already exhausted with what all had happened at her professional life and to add to her misery this engagement thing turned out to be this disaster.
*****Flashback*******
After talking to Virat , next day after attending their presentation which supposedly impressed AD's clients very much, and left the deal almost final , AD also seemed to be quite impressed with her work, so she gathered courage and approached him to ask for leave...
Taani: AD Sir...
AD: ...(no response)
Taani: AD Sir...??????????
AD: ... (no response)
Taani: AD sir... (hesitantly poking him with his finger)
AD: Yes...?????OHHh... Taani? U were calling me...??????????
Taani : ( irritated) ... Yes sir... but u weren't listening...
AD: Oh... Oh kaayyy ... I thought u was calling some AD "SIR"...**** with cheeky grin*****
Taani ***now understanding and blushed a bit**** : ohh ... Sorry Sir... i.. I ..mean AD.
AD: That's better... u know this "Sir "thing makes me feel like someone who is 50 year old... By the way ... u were great at presentation... Being a fresher... Honestly speaking I didn't expected u to do so great... I guess this deal is ours...
Taani was so much involved in drooling over AD that she was transported to some other world and was not listening to whatever AD was saying...
Her trance was broken due to falling of a Vase...
Ad: OMG ... Are you fine??? Apko lagi to nahi ????? ***AD asked the waiter who collided with the vase***
Waiter : No sir ... I am fine... ***the waiter said smiling and a bit surprised as well****
Taani : ***he is such a gentleman**** ~~~ thinking~~~
AD : Taani???????...

Taani: Yes sir... actually my sister is getting engaged and I was thinking that if my work is finished here can...
AD: what...????????? Is this a professional way to talk to your boss????? ... ***angrily**
Taani: ***Stuttering** Sor...Sorryy .. AD **a bit teary eyed**
AD: U should be!!!
Taani:***she was listening to AD with her head bent***
AD: U are giving such a good news of your sister getting engaged in such a rukha sukha way?? Where is my mithai??????? ***asking angrily***

AD: ***Smiling*** : U should be there with your sister in her this important phase of life...
Taani: Thank u... Thanks... Thank u so much AD...
AD: But ... But... u can leave only early in the morning because tonight there is an official get together and your presence is required there for clarifying any query if they have as it was your presentation... and don't worry the arrangement will be done so that u aren't late...
Taani: Thank u so much sir... ** thinking***~~''hmm it should be fine, by Ad's arrangement I will there a day before or maximum agar zyada late bhi hui to engagement k din morning tak to pahunch hi jaungi~~
AD: Is it fine taani??????

Taani : ... I hope am looking fine...***Taani was wearing a peach colored saari with crystals embedded in it with minimal make up and her hairs straightened and open, she was looking very beautiful and elegant but at the same time sensuous enough to make any one lose their senses****
AD: where is taani??????? Kahan reh gayi??? Uske k liye ladka dekhne k liye ni ja rahe... We are going for a business get together!!! Uske liye bhi ready hne mein this much time... Mary aunty was right girls always take so much...***suddenly his eyes fell on Taani coming in rush, arranging her saree , she was looking very beautiful, he has always seen girls wearing shorties and trying to look good , but in turn due to their plasticity they turn out to be fake dolls which always amused him and that's why he was not at all interested in them, but here taani was completely different, a perfect blend of culture and fashion, and for the first time he was actually giving attention of this kind to her, not as an employee but as "Special Lady", but in his these thoughts he didn't noticed that now taani was near him and he was staring at her ****
Taani: ****finding AD staring at her made her conscious so she asked *** AD????? What happened? Is there something wrong?...
AD: u r looking good
It was just a simple statement but it made Taani's heart skip a beat, he said this in such a way which was completely different from his healthy flirting!! It had something which she didn't know but made her blush. With a ring of phone AD gained his senses and they both headed to the venue.
Every thing was going nice till the point of time when one of the person from client's side tried to misbehave with Taani and she slapped him which resulted out into a chaos as no body was ready to listen to her even though Ad interrupted and tried to make them understand tani's side of story but that moron being an old employee of the client's firm cooked up something which made them infuriated and they left. With these sequence of action, AD was left irritated and when taani went to talk to him he just blasted over her that she should have informed him... he would have done something..blah blah before slapping without letting her speak that it was not possible to call him out at that time and once she tried as well but he was busy with other clients and her any wrong step would have created a scene and that She tried to handle the in best possible way but slapped only when things went out of her hands .
Taani being a girl with self esteem left the place at that moment only for hotel and checked out but to her dismay all the flights were booked but she knew the urgency so she took the train. She tried her best to put all things in places and came running to the house only to see this disaster happening which left her numb and speech less.

Her train of thoughts was broken by Tarun's voice
Tarun: Sir, Virat baba ko hosh aa gaya...
Madan and Vinay fumed listening to it and started moving towards his room, only to be stopped by taani,
Tani : Let me , first talk to him...
And without listening to their answer she left to Virat's room...
~~~Virat's Room~~~~
Virat woke up with a sharp pain in his head and was completely disheveled and confused thinking about how come he is here? The last thing he remembered was he came out of Maanvi's room and gulping shots but his inner self was telling him that something big has happened but he wasn't able to collect and arrange those pieces...
Virat***running his hands in his hairs***:Arghhh... Why am not able to remember anything... I know something has happened... but what?????? And how am I here?????...MAanvi...Maanvi's engagement... aaj to uski engagement thi yaar? kya hua???? Did she get engaged to that idiot...OMG and here I am suffering from hangover... I have to stop them...
With his fumbling legs he started moving towards the door of his room only to see taani standing there!!! Completely numb and expressionless... He came hastily towards her and hugged her saying
Virat: Ohhh Taani thank god you are back!!! We need to stop this engagement otherwise it would be late ...
And saying this he started dragging Taani out but she was still at her place with no expression which scared hell out of Virat...
Virat : what happened Taani... we need to do something...
But before Virat could say something Taani came barging towards him and slapped!!! She slapped him continuously till the time she was drained out exhausting due to anger!!! When she came back into her senses she was astonished at her own deed!!! She, for sure was angry but she never expected her to react in such a way. She held his collar and asked...
Taani : Why Virat... Why did u do this to my baby sis...
Listening to this Virat was frozen at his place... Various kind of unwanted thoughts were coming in his mind as he himself knew what he had done with Maanvi in her room in his anger and then he was drunk as well and he was scared that in that situation had he done something which he himself knows he shouldn't...
Virat: Taa.. Taani... What happened???? What have I done ...
Taani was continuously crying and this was making Virat more and more scared and irritated...
Virat: Damn.. Taani will u please stop crying and tell me what has happened?... Is maanvi alright?... U are scaring hell out of me...
Taani ***crying*** : U have screwed up everything Virat...
Vrat: Taani please... Stop talking in riddles... and tell me please...

Taani calmed herself and told him the entire thing... Virat was shocked listening to the entire scene but in some corner of his heart he was happy and guilty as well. Happy that Maanvi is now officialy his and she didn't get engaged to Angad but some how he was confused about Maanvi's feeling although he has always seen the same thing in her eyes as well depicting the same feeling as he had for her but still her this decision of getting engaged to angad developed a doubt in his mind that whether he had dragged her in this relationship without her will...
He bent on his knees in front of Taani ... Shocked. Numb and eyes filled with tears... He just hugged taani tightly and didn't said any thing but after some time Taani heard a soft sob with "Sorry" being murmured with it which just melted her heart like butter... Her anger with Virat just flew away and she separated him from her to have a look at his face and she could tell how guilty he was... She just cupped his face and said
Tani: Shhh... Virat calm down ... Everything is going to be fine...
Virat: Taani I don't want her to leave me... Please don't let her leave me... I really love her... The thought of her getting engaged to someone else made me out of my mind and I did this ... Please ask her to accept me ... I know I am guilty of doing this before asking her but please... Taani ... I...
Taani: Virat... Calm down my friend... she isn't going anywhere... She just can't... You both are made for each other and no one can separate you... ***Thinking***~~~~and if any one tries, I won't let them do so~~~~
In Vinay's room,
All the elders were sitting silently together not know now how to handle the situation. There was a killing silence!!!Silence which prevails after a crowded place being hit by a tornado... So taking a lead Vinay initiated the talk...
Vinay : Madan bhaisaab and Vijay!!! Jo hona tha who ho gaya... But now we should think about what can be done...
Madan *****who was by now red in anger just spat***: I don't accept this engagement, where a drunken person just put a ring on someone's finger. This isn't an engagement.
Vijay: I too agree with Madanjii and I can understand his feelings... even though we would have been lucky enough to have a Daughter in law like maanvi but still her consent was not there in what all had happened...
Vijay was going to say something more but was interrupted by Shivani
Shivani: bhaisaab... How can you say something like this... Even after knowing...
Vinay: Ohhh shut up shivani... There is nothing like that ... cant you see...
Madan: Nothing like what Vinay...??
Vinay: No bhaisaab... nothing...
Madan: Vinay... Tell me...
Vinay stood silent so Madan asked him again but not getting any answer from his side he prodded Shivani to say what she was saying and shivani told her perception of Virat and Taani liking each other...
But they forgot that their were two ore people listening to this entire convo and they were shocked with this fact that their parents were having such a huge misunderstanding about them and this made them shout
TanVir: What...
There parents were shocked!!!
Shivani: Achcha hua u two came we were just talking about you two and the mess which has been created ...
But she was cut by Taani saying: Oh please mom!!! How can u guyz even think about us being together...
Virat: Yes aunty... We both are just friends!!! Best friends nothing more...
Taani: And virat to always was about Maanvi!!! No one else so how come...
But shivani interrupted them and asked about their late night convos and hugs and all to which Taani and Virat closed their eyes shut! Virat was really angry but Taani actioned him to be calm and then explained all the scenarios and how they all were planning to propose maanvi and to bring and make her comfortable in this relation of Virat with her.
Listening to all this Shivani was feeling guilty that how she wrongly contemplated the things and Madan's and Vijay's anger towards Virat melted down but still Madan was hesitant in accepting Virat but on Vinay's persuasion and all the Drama created in front of the guests they all agreed and it was decided that if Maanvi would agree marriage would take place as soon as possible. This made TanVir relaxed and Virat a bit happy and scared as well that what if Maanvi doesn't agree for thus...

~~~~Manvi's Room~~~~
Silence was prevailing in maanvi's room! And this silence was scaring each one of them present there. Maanvi has called Angad as she wanted to have a talk with him so he was called by Pinki but from the time he was there both of them hadn't said a single word. Angad was waiting for Maanvi to speak something but here maanvi was sitting just silent with her head bent down. Vanshika and Pinki, to give them space moved out of the room and now this silence was irritating Angad! He was not angry as he somehow had a hunch of something like this was coming but he didn't expected it to be this far and he wanted maanvi to talk as he knew she is completely messed up but looking at her silence he decided to take the control and initiate the talk.
Angad :Mannu...
Maanvi ****no response****
Angad :Mannu...
Maanvi ****no response****
Angad :Mannu... look here doll ***and he made her face him***
Maanvi ****no response**** but she was teary eyed with tears threatening to flow any time, again
Angad :Mannu... I ...
Maanvi : It was not planned Angad!!! I didn't know what was going in his mind... I didn't have any idea... I didn't ditched u... ***she spoke in between her sobs****
Angad was shocked. She was feeling so much guilty about something which wasn't her fault. She was thinking it as her fault, though it wasn't.
Angad :Doll... shhh...just tell me one thing, you really love him...
Maanvi ******looking here and there ... but not at Angad...***** : Angad... I...
Angad :Only yes or no maanvi...
Maanvi : but...
Angad : Yes or no...
Maanvi ****no response and bending her head down nodding in Yes****
Angad: Then u don't need to be sorry...
Maanvi ****Shocked looking upto him and was confused seeing him smile, though with tears ****
Angad: Yes maanvi... You heard it right...you shouldn't be sorry as it was bound to happen. I wont say that that I am very happy for you or I am not hurt as I am too a human being and yes I am hurt but still this hurt is much better than messing up our entire lives...
Maanvi ***maanvi was shocked beyond limits, she didn't know that whether she should be happy or hurt or guilty****: Angad I never intended to hurt u ... Really... I was getting in this relationship with my own will...
Angad: But do you think we all would have been happy if you have done this... I know u do love Virat and this incident proves this too that he has feelings for you...
Maanvi : but it was not me and him angad, it was always Tannu and Virat...
Angad : this is what I am saying Manvi. There is something missing, talk to him about this, clear the air otherwise I don't know where your this communication gap will take you ...
Maanvi ****wasn't able to say any thing but tears were completely coming out of her eyes and she just hugged Angad****
Angad too let her hug himself as he too was hurt and needed a friend to calm him down as he knew he liked maanvi.
Angad :Mannu... stop being a cry baby... Dekh mjhe bhi rula diya tune to...
Maanvi ****smiled****: awww Ya I know that Mard rote huye achce nahi lagte things... but you know what angad ...You really are a very nice person and I would really have been lucky to if you have been my life partner ... And...of course... if I would not have been in love with Virat...
Angad: But I guess I am not lucky enough to have you in my life...
This statement made Manvi a bit conscious and uncomfortable and she realized that now his true feelings and pain was coming out... and she started separating herself from him but he pulled her closer...
Angad: Manvi... If I ask u for something... will you give it to me... my farewell gift...
Maanvi: What ...
Angad: Last goodbye kiss...
This shocked maanvi beyond limits... she never expected him to ask for something like that but then suddenly he burst out laughing... Laughing like a maniac... Laughing in such a manner that tears started to come out of his eyes... But maanvi knew that they were not tears of laughter but of pain ... Pain which he was trying to hide from the time that engagement fiasco has happened...
She didn't know what happened to her but she felt like taking away his pain and fulfilling his this wish and she followed her heart and she kissed him !!! It wasn't a passionate kiss but a kiss filled care,concern,guilt, pain ,need and a feeling of losing something precious. For one of them it was an ointment to heal the pain which a heart was experiencing and for other a closure to a thing which could have been a bed of roses...
After sometime, they both separated, but still were in each others embrace.
Angad: Maanvi ... U...
Maanvi:No angad... it was your wish I had to fulfill it... if at that time even if u have asked me to chose you I would have done that...
Angad: Ohhh Thank god ... Bach gaya... ***he said to lighten the mood****
Maanvi: Shut up Angad!!!
Angad:Now I have to leave maanvi otherwise I wont be able to keep up this act of being understanding Angad for long ****he said with his voice depicting his hurt****
Maanvi: Bye angad!!! Hope u get best person in life and the one who deserves a gem like you...
Angad: You too maanvi ... be happy ... And remember... This Angad who is going is the angad with whom you were going to be engaged but angad, your friend is always there... I will be there for you whenever you need me... And it's a promise...
Saying this he left and maanvi kept on staring at the door watching him going away... Leaving all his happiness for her happiness...
****Few hours later in Maanvi's room***
Every body was present there , gathered to take a decision which was going to turn the lives ,especially of two people, Virat and Maanvi, upside down.Madan has cleared all the talks which they had done about the future of their relationship and the lines on which they were thinking and now everyone was silent!!!! Waiting for maanvi's reaction and decision, especially Virat. He was waiting maanvi to react by holding his breath and Taani knew this so she just assured him by putting hands on his shoulders which surely reduced his anxiety. But still he was anxious to know maanvi's decision...
The entire room remained filled with silence for few minutes suddenly maanvi spoke: Papa, I will do whatever you think is good for me...
Hearing this something pinched in Madan's heart... He didn't know but he was feeling helpless. In front of his eyes his daughter was going through so much and he wasn't able to understand what he should do to get everything back on track for his princess.
Madan: Beta ... No one is forcing you for anything... We would do whatever you want... There is no pressure... Are you really sure... you want to go ahead with this***looking at virat with no expression*** relationship...
Manvi:****looking at Virat and then looking down*** Yes papa !!! Am fine!!!I would like to go ahead with this relation...
Somehow Virat was really very happy listening to her decision and so was taani but suddenly maanvi's reaction of not looking at him while taking this decision made him again drowned in that guilt that whether he is dragging her in an unwanted relationship only for his selfishness. Taani noticed this sudden faded smile of Virat and asked with her eyes if something was wrong but he shrugged it with a fake smile and Taani too noticed it but didn't felt like pushing him much, at least not now.
Madan****turned towards everyone***: fine then, but ***looking at Virat**** I would like to ask Virat once again in complete consciousness that is he fine with this relation...
Virat was going to answer but was interrupted by his super angry dad ***at the moment**** : I don't think Virat should have any problem as he was the one who is the reason that we are here today talking about this relation in this situation...
Virat sooo wanted to answer his dad and was going to do the same but suddenly his eyes fell on the silently sobbing Maanvi who's tears again started flowing after hearing his dad's words making him more angry and drowned in guilt ... So he opted to be silent and just nodded in yes with both dad son duo throwing daggers to each other.
The very next day Pandit jii was called and the shubh Mahurat was decided that was just two days after and marriage too was a silent affair with not soo many taam jhaams.
'Finally maanvi was married!!! But she has never dreamed of this kind of marriage!!!!
