Last Part

Arnav was driving his SUV. He was coming from his US conference call in office so was late. He knew he was late but his Di will not scold him for coming late because she knows why was he doing this? Coming late, going early to office, irony. He would say thanks to any spirit over there in the sky that his Di handles everything for a time. He had told his Di the reason and she had agreed too. He rang the door of Shantivan and a very sleep HP opened the door.

Arnav- Khana khaya?
HP- Ji Arnav Bhaiya.

[LOL don't think he was caring for HP. He didn't. plss]

Arnav - Hmm..

Arnav followed stairs to his room soundlessly. He knew she would be waiting for her. He sneaked into his room first then stepped in. He was shocked neither she was on recliner nor on poolside. But she was half sleeping on bed and head board. He smiled and walked up to her. For waking her up, he patted her cheeks.

Arnav - Khushi! Khushi!

She didn't wake up. He was slightly tensed because usually she had light sleep or now she is in deep sleep. But she should be sleeping in right form.

Arnav - Khushi! Khushi wake up. (Loudly) Khushi!

She woke up and said rubbing her eyes.

Khushi - Aapko derr ho gayi Arnavji.

Arnav was shocked to hear the same words again from her mouth. He got somewhat scared. He did come late actually these days. Bacause now he is totally immersed in important deals so that he will have enough time to spend with his pregnant wife in later months. But her words slightly scared him brought back some memories which he is still try to bury under some depth.

Khushi - Kya huya Arnavji? Aap bol kyun nahi rahe. Humne aapse kaha tha aap jaldi aayiega.

She stands up and was walking away when he held her elbow. He cupped her face and searched something but she was okay. He sighed in relief and hugged her. She wondered what happened to him suddenly. She didn't know what her words did to him. Her words got back every memory of that horrible day.

Khushi - Jaiye Arnavji haath muh dhoke aaiye hum aapka khana late hai.

Arnav started to say something but she cut him off.

Khushi - Haan haan mangwate hain.. Hum zyada nahi challenge.

Arnav too then took his towel to washroom to freshen up. He discarded his clothes and stood under cold shower. Pretty cold shower was needed to calm his nerves, his soul which was lingering around that horrible night again. He didn't know how much time he stood under shower until Khushi knocked the washroom's door.

That's when he opened his eyes and come out of trance. He came out. His eyes were bloodshot.

Khushi - Aap dheek hain Arnavji?

Arnav - yeah am fine Khushi.

Khushi - Chaliye phir jaldi khana khaiye. Humein sona bhi hai.

Arnav instantly knelt down in front of Khushi and hugged her waist. Khushi also smiled brightly. That was the thing he do and she loved their talks but..

Arnav - So baby did you missed your Dad? I missed your mumma and you whole day. But I promise give me some more time, and then dad will give you and your mumma whole attention.

But Khushi scowled at this.

Khushi- Aap apne bache se bhi Angrezi mein baat karte hain!! Yeh galat hai!

He smirked at her words and raised an eyebrow.

Arnav - Come on Khushi. Yeh meri baby hai English toh bolegi hi.

At this Khushi shows her signature face, her mouth was opened in a big 'O'. He closed his mouth with his finger and picked up the plate of food.

Arnav - Please Khushi. You shouldn't stress yourself upon this. Umm jaisa ki mene kaha MERI BABY, uske aane ke baad pata chal jayega. (Winked)

Khushi made a face and sat down on bed. But Arnav was not reacting to any of her antics so she acted to sleep. Arnav was very well known what she was doing. But he let her do anything; after all she was carrying their proof of love, his baby. He finished his food, switched the lights off and climbed on bed. He hugged her from behind.

Khushi - Humein aapke jasoos ke bare mein pata chal gaya hai. Aaj humnein Hariparkash ji ko kamre mein Jhankte hue pakra!! Aap yeh dheek nahi kar rahein hai.

He sighed.

Arnav - What did I do then Khushi? Tell me. Us din tum chaat kha rahi thi, Mein aya toh vo tumne poolside plants mein chupa diya. What was that? I told you its all unhygienic still you...

Khushi - Humara yeh sab khata aur teekha khane ka man karta hai Arnavji. (Made a puppy face)

Arnav - Umm Okay I have a solution but plz abhi so jao Khushi. It's late.

Khushi hugged him and they both slept.

Later that night, Khushi! Khushi! You will wake up naa. Udhogi naa Khushi. Bahut 24 hrs hain Khushi bahut kam time hain. You will wake up naa. Tell me you will wake up. Khushi! Khushi! Say something plss!

Arnavji!! Sab dheek hai Arnavji. Dekhiye hum yahin hain.

Arnav opened his opened his eyes and sat up. He was drenched in sweat.

Voh ek bura sapna tha Arnavji HUM yahin hai.

Khushi hugged him tight. That was the nightmare he got. He still gets nightmares just difference is that nightmares are changed. They are full of screams of Arnav for Khushi.

[Destiny returns, seeking your forgiveness, raises you up with fingers of silken touch and sings to you a song of hope]

It happened in Arnav's life too. He had left every hope because he thought he deserved it. But he had also decided that he will not live alone this time. He will also left with Khushi where she goes. But Doctors saved her somehow. She was in her critical period. If she woke up in 48 hrs then it will be fine. But if not then she may slip into coma. That ray of hope filled Arnav with energy. He still remember his Khushi, his living walkie talkie was not talking. He pleaded before her, but nothing affected her. After 32 hrs, she gets into consciousness. Arnav had warned everyone that no one means no one will talk to her about her mistake, she did and got pain but she's fine now that's all we want. None talked to Khushi about suicide. All pretended like that never happened. They all hide their pain and sorrow caused by her mistake, mostly Arnav. Khushi tried to apologise but they all just ignored. So she realized that no one wants to talk about that matter. Time passed. She was always guilty from inside for taking such a drastic step so was Arnav still scarred of losing Khushi all time. Those same horrific words get him back to those unfortunate moments.

Khushi put his head on her bosoms and lulled him to sleep patting his head and ruffling his hair. She was in guilt and Arnav was surrounded by nightmare. This happens every time when nightmares strike him at night. Next day, they will pretend that nothing happened in night. Some things we can't change however we try. Both were happily living with the family but when memories strike to you, its horrible then there come fear to lose your loved one.

Life is not a fairytale. Things don't magically fix themselves in this life, there is no proof it all good, you have to work for it and try to fix it or make it right, that's part of life and part of being human - Tyler Sheilds
