Your confusion is quite right and I get it...his words are unjustified which still haunt her...however...she forgives him...why, because Khushi doesn't like holding grudges as it is negative energy and she hates negativity, hence dislikes Arnav for he is negative when it comes to her...and so she lets it go, not because he deserves it, it has nothing to do on his part, in stead all on hers'...she lets his misdemeanor go because she wants to let it go, as she wants only positivity to surround her, when such an important thing is happening in her life, her father's treatment and her family coming to Delhi, giving her the one chance to right her wrongs to them... to her, her family is more important than Arnav...she wants to earn their forgiveness and love, not Arnav's and so feels that by letting go of the grudge against him and thereby the negativity that comes with it, only positive energy will surround her, which will then help her to gain her family's love back...which is the most important thing to her...plus she is a religious person and religion tells one to forgive n forget whether or not that person deserves it...so she does...in hope that by doing so her DM will give her family the strength to forgive n forget her...Also her forgiveness is about her and her strength, her ability to forgive n forget and never back down...no matter what he says, how he shows her down, she gets up, pats off the dust and carries on...it shows her true character, which when the time comes Arnav will realise and then understand how gravely he has wronged her...n then he will writhe in guilt for it, for she forgave him when she should have shunned him...his words in Nainital, her howls that followed, then her forgiveness will all serve the purpose of making him realise just how wrong he was once the truth dawns upon him...I hope that makes more sense now as to why she forgives...
