Smitar's: Finding Khushi #11 Link to #12 on Page 1 - Page 15

Well, looks like both the brides decide to break the rule about not seeing / being seen by the groom before after the haldi and before the wedding! While a confused NK is left wondering as to what hit him, and Arnav is on tenterhooks worrying about Khushi's heartbreak and tears, she remains blithely ensconced within her bubble of happiness… that was just epic! He looked up to see the object of his ruminations standing alive and kicking in front of him… a wonderful image, the exact opposite of what he expected! Khushi's childlike joy at having given the family elders the slip and sneaked into Arnav's room to see him is endearing. "How can you have friends if you are such a cross boy?" A correct observation… it's like she's asking him to put away his mask of inapproachability and to make an effort to cultivate some friends with whom he can enjoy himself. Arnav's emotions are on a rollercoaster ride: he's grateful to Anamika for having explained things to Khushi, then worries as to goings-on hurting Khushi's sensibilities till finally heaving a sigh of relief on realizing that she hasn't really understood what was to happen at his bachelor's party. Through all, his one thought is to stop her from getting hurt! By now he has realised that the only true happiness he feels is with her… sharing things with her, however mundane, is celebration enough! "We are getting married. Let's us make everyone happy. You spend the evening with Nanheji and I will spend it with our family." These words are quintessentially Khushi; she's willing to do what will make others happy, irrespective of her own feelings… her happiness lies in theirs, and Arnav is gradually imbibing that lesson! This must be the height of irony: two very reluctant grooms forced to attend their bachelor's party at the instigation of their brides! Love these two new age grooms who are reluctant to leave their brides behind, and would rather have them at their stag party if they aren't allowed to stay back home with them! This bachelor's party seems more for NK, Akash, Gaurav, Scooby and their group of friends than for the grooms... their preferences, and friends if any, seem to have been royally ignored!
