PART 8

Arnav had several time thought about this.. He couldn't find any way to stop Shyam coming back to his girlfriends. He knew if he leaves India it would become like a fortune to escape from his responsibilities of looking after Anjali di. Afterall he is now going to be a father of a kid.. However with the help of Akash he could totally swipe off powers from Shyam which would never make him play with money and life. His guilt couldn't be warded off for not able to stop his marriage with ANjali. Unless that day if his mother in law hadn't broken down before dadi about her gratitude towards Raizadas for accepting her daughters proposal after knowing her physical disability and that Anjali would have lost her senses if she had been rejected one more time by any proposal. That day he took a resolve to make Shyam slowly deviate from his cassanova image and that could be possible only if two things are pulled out of him. Power and Money the two important factors which was his weakness. Though he was not in good terms with Shyam he had the inner wish of seeing him better in life only for his sister in law.His Khushi's sister.. Khushi's happiness was also another reason. Her entire happiness lies in her di's happiness too..Now as predicted Shyam messed up with the businesses in overseas, Arnav would have provided a lending hand to clear off the mess but he didn't. He purposely wanted to see his downfall only to make sure he doesn't come back. Now things are getting its place. Anjali di is going to deliver the baby that would make him atleast responsible to his family he thought.. He had already assumed Madhumati would make Khushi the CEO of her Industries the way which he could restrict Shyam from squander money from Sinha Industries.

He closed his eyes with a sigh of relief as whatever happening is for good.. He hasn't revealed anything to his wife.. his soulmate who had the right to know about her creep brother in law only fearing that she wouldn't be able to bear her sister's life in despair. Now her call made him more ambiguous.. His another brother NK having a problem in Marriage life ? That cant be possible.. As he knew how much NK and Lavanya loved each other. But he couldn't keep quiet.. If there was some bitterness in their relation he had to clear it.. infact they had to.. Now he started thinking about Khushi too involving in him.. She is also a part of him.. How can he deny her speculation? Lavanya could be easily convinced by Khushi on her side but he had to talk to NK and give him some time to clear everything.

Arnav (On Call ): Look NK.. I didnt wish Akash to come here.. He already is tied up with the assignments there..So you are the only option for me for clearing this mess created by Shyam. I guess you wont be happy to hear about the company's name in tabloids as a sinking ship? Don't you?

NK: I understand Bro.. Just relax.. And I will come there.. You dont have to worry..

Arnav: Fine.. So ask Aman to book your tickets as soon as possible.. We cannot delay this..

NK: Yup.. I will ring him right now..

Arnav: And make sure you and Akash dont talk to Shyam or anyone in the family about this .. I dont wish him to make more mess..

NK: Dont worry.. He wont be informed why I am coming to London.. Anything else?

Arnav: Uhh!!! No.. Nothing Official..

NK: Nothing Official? What does it mean?

Arnav: I mean I had to talk to you on some things but not over phone.. Lets meet here and then discuss.I would be travelling back by the end of this week.. We can fly together.

NK: Talks regarding what Bhai?

Arnav: Relax NK.. I said we will discuss it here.. Now let me get back to work.. Bye..

NK was little perplexed on what Arnav wished to discuss with him other than work?? He cut the call and then walked to Akash to inform him about this Trip..

Raizada House :

Daadi was sitting on the couch where the whole family was talking to her peacefully. NK looked around to spot his wife.. Her absence was obvious. How can she think of joining the family in such occasions? She would be glued to her own career thoughts and profession.

Daadi asked him to come near . He took her blessings sat beside her enquiring about her health. He informed his trip to London which shocked the family.

Manohar : Beta.. London but why ?

NK : Nothing much uncle.. My friend's marriage has been fixed. He wants me to attend the function.

Daadi : Arent you taking Lavanya with you?

NK was tongue tied..

NK : Daadi. She has some important assignments. I don't want to disturb her work . So I will go and will be back within one week.

All of them agreed.He moved with Akash to their study.

Akash: Bhai told me everything.. You sure you can manage NK? Otherwise I will tell Bhai to wait for me to finish things here and go there..

NK: Come On Akash.. I am not amateur anymore.. I know to handle Business now.. Ofcourse not like you and Bhai.. But I still can.. And with Bhai beside me, I dont think I need any more help..

Akash (Smiled): Good Bro.. So booked tickets?

NK: Have told Aman..See you then.. I will call you as soon as I reach there.

Saying that NK and Akash disperesed back to their rooms.. The moment NK entered the room, he saw Lavanya sleeping on the bed .. He knew she was awake but she had purposely closed her eyes.. He didnt bother.. He walked to the Closet and then took his Bag out for packing his clothes.. Hearing this sound, she opened her eyes and was surprised seeing him packing his clothes..

Lavanya: You going somewhere?

NK: (Without looking at her): London..

Lavanya: What? London? Why??

NK: My friend's marriage.

He continued packing and Lavanya just looked at him in frustration..

Lavanya: So it was all planned and you didnt think of letting me know?

NK: Dont exagerrate this La. I got a call from him today to attend the marriage. His marriage was fixed in such a short notice.. You think I dont like sharing things with you?

Lavanya: I didnt mean that..

Nk:(Angrily): Then what else you meant?

Lavanya(Sleeping again and this time turning the other side): Nothing.. Its beyond your understanding..

She switched her side lights and closed her eyes.. NK was irritated by this behaviour.. She was his wife but she was still behaving like a new Girl friend of his.. She didnt show any interest in his packing too? He didn't bother much and continued his packing to leave for London.

Next Morning

Shalini came inside Anjali's bedroom without even knocking.. Anjali was having her medicines when she saw Shalini inside..She was surprised..

Shalini: Hello Anjali.. Where is Shyam?

Anjali: Shyam?? (She felt a bit ackward seeing this girl's gestures.. She came inside their bedroom and now asking where Shyam is?)

Shalini: I mean.. I had some work with him..

Anjali smiled and there Shyam came out getting fresh from the Washroom. He too was shocked seeing Shalini here.. The moment Shalini saw Shyam she rushed to him and then dragged him with her to the Couch.. Shyam felt little uncomfortable seeing Shalini behaving like this that too before Anjali..

Shalini: Shyam.. Didnt I ask you to meet me today?

Shyam Gestured her they were not alone and that Anjali was watching them..

Shalini: I mean did you forget that I was searching for a suitable job? You said you would talk to some friend of yours.

Anjali then relaxed hearing this.. She could see Shalini had a good bond with her husband.. May be he treated her like his sister .. Thats the reason they were so close.. She walked to them and instantly replied..

Anjali: Job? But why do you need one Shalini? You are already much stable enough ..Your father is such a big shot.

Shalini: But I dont like sitting at homes and doing nothing.. Moreover I wish to stand on my own feet..I want to be independent.. Not to get influenced by my father in my career.

Anjali : That's so great of you.. hmm.. why cant you try in our company ? Sinha Industries.. Im sure Khushi would like to work with fresh talents like her.

Shalini: Khsuhi?? Uhh!! I doubt she will take me..

Anjali: Why? Why are you saying so? She will surely like to have a hardworking person like you .. And she knows you know.. You are our Family friend..

Shalini got the idea to cling on this opportunity. If shown as a request she would easily fall for her. Shyam played his card well this time.

Shyam :No that wont work.

Shalini : Anjali .. I think you have the authority to utilize this right.. Its your own office.. Khushi is younger to you.I mean wont she listen to you ?

ANjali : Khushi will surely listen to me Shalini.. She never goes against my word..

Shyam : You are wrong Ranisaheba.. Your little sister Khushi who listened to you all these days is not the same Khushi now.. She is Khushi Arnav Raizada now..

Shyam saw his wife's eyebrows scrunching towards that statement.

Shyam : I mean Rani Saheba.. even if Khushi agrees Arnav wont allow her to take Shalu as he dislikes her.

Anjali was confused.. What has Arnav to do with Shalini??Moreover he had told her that she was more close to Arnav before.

Anjali: Dislikes? Why??

Shyam: Its a long Story Rani Saheba.. May be I will tell you some other time..

Anjali: No.. I need to know it now.. Why does Arnav dislike her?

Shyam: Because he and Shalu were engaged once.. But Arnav broke his engagement with her giving worthless reasons.

Anjali was stunned.. She never knew this..

Anjali: Engaged? He was engaged to her? And he broke it ?? But why?? And why didnt he tell us about it before marrying Khushi? Does our family knows all this?

Shyam: Yes Rani Saheba.. Everyone knows.. Infact even your sister Khushi knows now.. May be Arnav told her all this after marriage.. I am sure if he had told your family before the marriage, they wouldn't have been ready to marry Khushi with Arnav..

Anajli wasnt satisfied.. Arnav had broke his engagement with Shalini? What could be the reason? She never doubted on Shalini.. She knew Khushi and Arnav also shared a uncomfortable relationship for some time even after they got married.. May be this was the reason. She didnt know why , she could only get negative vibes about Arnav's character now after hearing all this.. Some hatred started brewing in Anjali's mind for Arnav .. She decided to look upto her little sister's life more seriously.. She was not going to let her life getting spoiled.

Anjali : Shalini.. Get ready.. we are going to Sinha Industries in a while..

After Anjali left the room Shyam and Shalini gave a hifi for their successful plan..

Shyam : Now the game is on Shalu.. We can soon see ASR downfall.

Hospital

Payal and Akash were waiting outside the room with their reports. They had got the apponintment from one of the experienced and luckiest gynecologist of the city.Akash inculted hopes in Payal, he was sure that they didn't deserve a big let down in their life. Payal was looking down depressed.. She was anxious about what this doctor would tell them. Akash pressed held her hands in his pressing to assure support from his end. He knew the intensity of her pain. Even he is going through the same but he should be bold enough atleast to support her.

Their name was called inside by the nurse. Doctor asked them to take their seats looked at their reports. Akash and Payal glanced each other with anxiety mixed with nervousness.

Doctor : Mr.Raizada. Its good that you voluntarily checked your fitness as it requires a must in any case of infertility. Not in all cases women are the reasons to be blamed for. I checked your reports. Its perfectly fine.It doesn't show any trace of infertility problems.

Akash and Payal were convinced somehow.

Doctor : But moving to your wife's reports, I am afraid you do have some problems of cyst developing in the uterus. As common it may sound, but I cant ward off the possibility of this infertility not getting treated.

Payal's face became pale hearing the Doctor's words.

Doctor : Mr.Raizada.. I would like to tell you something.. Both of you should be ready to face the reality..This requires a complete dedication in treatment from both of you.. If she is undergoing treatment its your responsibility to motivate her. There is nothing worth than a word of comfort and support from the spouse during this time.I hope you would be with her through out this stage.

Akash : Sure Doctor. I am more concerned about Payal. I would be with her through out this phase.

Doctor : Good.. There are several stages of treatment. If these stages are not fruitful please don't let go your confidence anytime. It takes time. Don't get anxious if it doesn't work instantly.. You should have ample patience to go through this. Have faith in God and have faith in each other. You will surely succeed.My blessings are with you.

Payal : Thank you Doctor. I feel like getting some confidence now.. I m sure I will win this battle with my own health.

Doctor : That's the spirit Payal.. First I will give you some Iron tablets and some other tablets. You make sure you take this regularly without any fail. I will meet you next month.

Payal and AKash came out of the doctor's room with some confidence.

Akash : Don't worry Payal.. We both will pass this hurdle soon.

He held her shoulders in support that's when they heard someone calling them.

Manorama : Akash & Payal .. What are you both doing here?

Akash and Payal couldn't hide their sudden shock. They didn't expect Manorama here. They were sure there would be questions hurling from her soon for their visit.

Akash : Ma.. how come you are here ?

Manorama : arre.. I came to see my friend's grandchild. Her son is blessed with a baby boy yesterday. So I came to meet the baby. Im asking you why are you here.

When Akash was about to think and reply back, Manorama made her own conclusions..

Manorama :You both here with the doctor?Payal .. any good news? Are you both hiding something from me?

Payal started fiddling her pallu not able to find any way to avoid answering. Akash coming to her rescue replied his mother.

Akash : No ma. Nothing. We just came here for'

Manorama : For checking results isn't it? Whats the result? Positive na ?

Akash : No ma.. not positive..

Manorma's wide smile turned of suddenly.. She expected she could become another grandma soon as Anjali is already expecting..

Manorama : Oh. That's ok.. lets leave.. its getting late.

Her disappointment was quite evident and surely noticed by Akash and Payal.. They prayed for some good news to happen soon which would bring happiness in everyone's face.

SInha Industries

Khushi was stuck up in a big problem as she was getting a notice from the bank on Overdraft of their account. Her payments were held because of the defecit in the account. She was expecting some payments which were held too and her finance department didn't have an idea to source the funds. She was furious from the morning as she thought she was incapable of handling this financial issue.. She was unable to convince the suppliers as they were not ready to supply materials without payments which would really affect the production in her organization.

Khushi was trying to reach Arnav for the fifth time but his phone was switched off. She was getting furious as the time progressed increasing her tension.

Khushi : Arnav''' why the hell have you switched off your phone ?

She threw the phone on the table in anger.. She was getting impatient like the mighty ASR she thought. She remembered how he used to be restless at times of some problems at office. Thinking of the solution she began to try his office number that's when Anjali came inside her cabin.

Anjali: Khushi.. are you free?

Looking at Anjali, Khushi hid her agony and smiled at her.. But soon the smile vanished when she saw the lady behind Anjali entering into her cabin with a wide smile ' Shalini ? Why is she here that too with Anjali she thought..

Anjali : Come Shalini. Come in.

Khushi stood up to welcome her to direct her to the chair.

KHushi : Di' what happened? Are you ok? Why did you trouble yourself? I would have visited RM today if you had given me a call.

Anjali : Arre baba.. Cant I come and meet my little sister just like that?

Khushi : No DI.. You are in your 7^th month.. Its not safe to travel like this .

Anjali : I came her for something important.. I don't think I could have done that at home.

Khushi : Whats that di ?

Anjali : I hope you have met Shalini before.

Khushi looked at Shalini with a stern face. She was glaring at her face while Shalini smirked at her.

Khushi : Yea.. I met her at the hospital the other day..

Anjali :She was looking out for a good job that match her capabilities.. I felt you also need one support here. I asked her to join our firm.

Khushi got shocked.. She had to take up this Shalini. How could she take up this cunning lady? How would Arnav react.. She had too many questions in hand. She couldn't deny her di too. Looking at the face of Shalini she felt it was some sort of plan behind this.

Khushi : Di.. we don't have any vacant positions. And moreover I am trying to find myself trained to this job. I would ask my HR to refer her CV and inform you about the position when it is vacant.

Shalini : Khushi you could have directly told me that you are not interested to take me up.

Anjali :Khushi wont you listen to my words? I promised her for this..

Khushi : Di.. but..

Anjali: Tell me you can appoint her or not?

Khushi couldn't hesitate anymore. Its her di's words.. anyone else she would have given damn to them. Her Di was more like a mother to her. She couldn't see her Di's face sad anytime. She had to forcefully agree.

Khushi : Ok Di.. I will give the appointment letter today.. let her join from tomorrow.

Shalini gave a victory smile thinking of her plans. Anjali hugged Shalini congratulating her. She touched Khushi on her cheeks and thanked her.

That smile was worth than all her worries and anticipations. Her di was more important like Arnav and her mother to her. She smiled back when her manager came in with the news that Suppliers are nagging for payment.

Khushi : Cant you handle them for one day? I had been getting calls that the money would be collected tomorrow then whats the problem.

Shalini was shocked to hear Khushi shouting at the manager. A small glimpse of ASR was visible in her face too. She couldn't help other than to smirk seeing her ASR's wife in trouble.

Taking hold of the golden chance she intruded.

Shalini : Khushi. If you don't mind can I ask you about the problem ?

Khushi : Shalini. You are joining office tomorrow only..

Shalini got embarrassed.Anjali came in for the peace process.

Anjali :Khushi .. Whats the problem ?

Khushi had no option to explain everything. Shalini after hearing the problem gave her side of solution.

Shalini : Why cant you give them the post dated cheques if you are sure that collections will be received tomorrow?

Manager : Madam that's a nice idea.. We can manage with this now.

Anjali :See Khushi.. Shalini is very talented. Do as she says. I think you are very lucky to get her.

Shalini smirked at Khushi who was about to burst in anger. She could see how Khushi was controlling her temper infront of his di.. After advising the manager to take care with the cheques she tightened her fists in anger under the table.

While Anjali was happily talking to Shalini about KHushi and her childhood Khushi received a call on her mobile. It was Arnav.. That was it' She got the best person to vent out her irritation and frustration.

Arnav : Hey baby. Did you call me ?

Khushi (shouting) : Where were you Arnav ? How long I have been calling you? Why did you switch off the phone when I was in deep trouble?

Arnav was shocked to hear the anger.. The wildness in her tone made him suspect that something was serious..

Arnav : Cool down dear.. Whats exactly the matter? Are you in trouble ?

Khushi ( looking at Shalini ):Yes in deep trouble.. why should I tell you? When everyone try to trouble me you are happily spending your time there leaving me to suffer alone.. Be happy there. Don't bother about me..

She hung up the call in frustration. Arnav was damn angry at her behavior. But he knew something was seriously wrong as she would never lose her temper. He wanted her to cool down a bit and talk later.

Anjali :Is everything ok Khushi ? Why did you shout at Arnav?

Khushi :Nothing di.. Im alright.. I will talk to him later.

Shalini controlled a big smile as it was two in one victory. She could see the bitterness in between Arnav and Khushi which would be easy for her.If Khushi had the same temperament like ASR then her plans would be executed so fast she thought.

Arnav barged into her cabin. Khushi looked up to find Arnav in rage while he came and dragging her from the chair pinned her hands behind her waist looking straight into her eyes. Khushi could see the anger back in him after a long time. She was admiring it with a small smile. He knew her teases would surely instigate him.

Arnav : Two weeks. You tortured me so much dammit.. Day and Night.. I wont let you go easily without paying me off.

Khushi(raising her eyebrows) :Really ? What will you do Mr.?

Arnav held her possessively tightening his grip leaning on to her lips with a smirk. She blushed at the thought of what was coming next.

Shalini who entered the cabin with a knock was shocked to find her ex fiance with his wife in a compromising position. Arnav and Khushi looked at the door snapping away from their thoughts. Arnav was about to leave his grip thinking KHushi would feel bad but Khushi didn't let him take his hand.

Khushi :Shalini.. don't you have manners? Is this the way to enter your boss' cabin?

Yeah!!! I'm first...
