Chapter 1: Popularity meets Unpopularity...
"Dude... Give Me the keys. I am driving the car. I don't want to end up in the hospital or worse, behind the bars with You..." Aakash said, walking out of the House.
"OK! Fine... Be My guest." Arnav said, sliding into the passenger's seat and cranking the music to the loudest.
Half an hour later, Aakash made it to the University attracting the attention of all the people hanging out at the University premises.
"Pheww... Reached safely. What a Shock!" Aakash taunted and drove the car towards the parking lot.
"Felt like driving on a snail's back. I am driving from tomorrow." Arnav retorted while winking at the sighing girls in the parking lot.
Aakash was about to park into a empty parking space when another car came speeding from the other side.
Aakash sped the car to full speed and parked the car in the free space before the other car could inch closer.
"Sorry.. Sugar Dolls. There was 'Aakash' written all over the parking space." Aakash winked at the occupants of the other car- Payal and Khushi.
"Calm down, Payal. We can get another spot." Khushi said from the passenger seat. "See... There is another parking spot."
Payal pulled up in front of the free space but was blocked by another car.
This time, It was the Diva herself, Lavanya Kashyap and Her group of giggling friends.
"Ooo.. Geeks Population!" Lavanya smirked and looked at Khushi. "Did You forget Your way to the Library??"
"Did You forget Your way to the bitc-.." Payal was cut off mid-sentence.
"Payal... Please. Stop it. Find another spot." Khushi calmly said to Payal.
"Yeah. Listen to the smartest Geek speak..." Lavanya cooed while the others giggled.
"Lavanya!" Arnav 's scream could be heard across the lane, calling Lavanya over.
"I can't believe that these two egoistic and arrogant jerks are in a relationship! How much more ego can the relationship handle." Payal muttered loud enough for Khushi's ears while watching Lavanya walk up to Arnav and hug Him.
Arnav nodded and hugged Lavanya. "Hey Baby..."
"Awww... Arnie..." Lavanya cooed and hugged Arnav while Aakash made gagging noises in the background.
"So, Today is our Movie Date??" Arnav winked coolly.
"Awww... Yup! Later." Lavanya whispered and walked away.
"So... Arnav Singh Raizada strikes a goal again." Aakash said in mock commentary while walking into the locker room. "Dude... When are You going to settle with one Girl who will be Your 'The One'?"
"God has not created the girl of Arnav's dreams till now... When She comes into My world... It will be a firework and a blast- ... OUCH!" Arnav went headlong into something or rather... Someone.
"Payal... You proceed to the Economics Lecture. I will just return this book to the Library and be there with You." Khushi said, opening the book to check its due date.
"Okay... See You later. Dont run into trouble." Payal smirked and walked away.
"Yes. And You please keep Your sarcasm within Yourself." Khushi smiled while walking out of the locker room immersed in the book.
"OUCH!" A deep male voice made Her look up into the eyes of the last person She wanted to bump into... Arnav Singh Raizada.
"Oh.. I am so Sorry! I am really Sorry..." Khushi apologized with a horrified expression on Her face.
"Its Okay... Accidents Happen." Arnav tried to laugh it off. "Hi.. Are You new around here??"
"Nope. I have been in Your Commerce batch since First Year." Khushi remarked while collecting Her fallen book from the floor and adjusting Her spectacles. "I have to go..."
Arnav was unfamiliar with such behavior of any girl. Girls always flirted with Him and never made any excuses to leave HIm. This was the first time, A Girl was walking away from Him.
"Hey..." Arnav called out after Khushi. "I did not catch Your name?"
"Khushi Kumari Gupta..." Khushi said and kept walking towards the library.
"No Girl has ever walked away from Me before... They can't afford to do so." Arnav smirked arrogantly.
"There is always a first time. And This one will definitely be Your First." Khushi replied and walked faster towards the library leaving behind Arnav.
"Feisty. Just the way I Like it." Arnav smirked looking at Khushi walking away in haste.
"Class... Today is Thursday and its time for Our weekly Pop Quiz." Mrs. Manorama declared while erasing the white board.
The class groaned unitedly making Mrs. Manorama turn around sharply and glare at the class.
"Before the Quiz, I have a new Project for You all... I am circulating a bowl with name slips... The name on the slip will be Your partner for this Project." Mrs. Manorama instructed and placed the bowl in front of the class.
"Oh No... This means I can possibly get stuck with a Geek..." Aakash groaned loudly making every head turn towards Him.
"Aakash Malhotra. Detention." Mrs. Manorama said, looking pointedly at Aakash. "For disturbing the decorum of the class as well as discriminating between different student groups."
The whole class roared with laughter. Aakash and Detentions went hand in hand always.
"She is an Economics Instructor for a Good reason... Justice." Payal whispered from the seat behind Aakash.
Aakash turned around to see Payal smirking and Khushi concentrating on Her book.
"You will pay for this.. Miss Fire Doll." Aakash smirked while Mrs. Manorama cleared Her throat.
"Aakash... Pick one." Mrs. Manorama instructed, offering the bowl of name slips.
Aakash groaned inwardly before picking up a slip and reading it aloud, "Payal Mehra."
Aakash turned around and winked. "Perfect Payback."
"Looking forward to being Your partner.. Note the sarcasm." Payal huffed in disappointment.
Arnav chuckled loudly listening to the conversation and turned around to face Khushi, "Hope We get paired together too."
Arnav winked and Khushi looked shocked.
"God! Please... Please... I dont want to be paired with Him... Pleaseee.. Please... Pleaseee..." Khushi muttered under Her breath.
"Arnav... Pick a slip." Mrs Manorama said while all the girls waited with bated breath hoping Arnav would say their name.
Arnav opened the slip and smirked.
"Khushi Kumari Gupta." Arnav read the name on the slip.
