ARSHI FS - PART 2

'Sote,hue aap bilkul bhi laad governor nahi lagtey'.(While sleeping you don't look like a laad governor).Khushi spoke smiling to herself.

After so many days she smiled from her heart today,she felt free as if a huge burden has been lifted off from her shoulders, there was an air of ease and a sense of comfort engulfing her,she was finally able to breathe , feeling complete after what seems like ages.Untangling herself carefully from his arms she glanced at the clock and got up exclaiming.

'Haaye DeviMaiyya!!Hum itni der tak kaise sote reh gaye,itna waqt ho gaya aur humein pata bhi nahi chala(Oh DeviMaiyya!' How come I slept till so late,its so much time and I didn't even realised).For a change their family had decided not to disturb them knowing they needed to rest.

Perhaps, because u have slept peacefully after a long time popped a voice in her heart.

'Bas ,Khushi kumari gupta singh raizada,bahut ho gaya,Arnavji yahin hai ,hamare paas aur isse pehle who uthe lagjaa kaam pe'.(Enough Khushi kumara upta singh raizada,Arnavji is here with you always and before he gets up get started with your work).She assured herself.

She tiptoed across the room careful not to make any noise that would disturb his sleep,she pulled over the curtains ,taking all her necessities and one very important thing,she decided to get ready today in the guest room,glancing over his sleeping form one more time she shut the door quietly and moved downstairs.

Few hours down the line Arnav opened his eyes ,feeling relaxed and charged up, for how long has he slept,as he rubbed his eyes to clear the mist, as on cue Khushi escaped his mouth where was she?,the events of last night coming back to him,her tear stricken face and fear filled eyes and with that the anguish of days he was away coming back to him,how every night he has slept restlessly,how much he has missed waking up to see Khushi sleeping in his bed,the entire period he was away his thoughts has only been filled with her,he needed to see her now.

He quickly freshened up and went downstairs, a lot has taken place in past few weeks,so many things that needed to be taken care of , but he would make everything all right,his eyes moved towards his family sitting at the dining table chattering as usual,he would keep them all safe and now he didn't had to handle everything alone Khushi was by his side always and the concept of always and them brought a contented smile on his face.

'Are! Chhotey aap aa gaye,baithiye'(Chhotey,you came,come have a seat).Naniji said affectionately.

He nodded and sat in his usual seat and was bombarded with questions

'Haan Chhotey ,tum thik to ho naa'.(Chhotey,ru okay is it still paining)Anjali asked.

'Arnav bitwa,tumko rest karne ka padi dekhat to kitne kamzor hogavat ho'. (Arnav,so you need to rest properly.you have lost so much weight).Mamiji said in an affectionate tone and Arnav nodded,he didn't knew the whole thing but Khushi has told him that Mamiji was the one who has known about his kidnapping apart from NK and has tried everything she could for him.

'Mami woh' his eyes searching for Khushi but she was nowhere to be seen.

Haan bhai,aap fikar mat kijiye,I will handle the office(yes bro,you don't worry,I will handle the office)Aakash assured him.

'Arnav ji yeh lijiye'(here Arnavji) Payal said softly keeping a tray full of delicasies in front of him.He tried to look over her to get a glimpse of his wife but no avail.After sleeping for so long he was definitely hungry though a little part of him was disappointed that Khushi didn't prepared anything for him ,he has gotten uso used to her cooking and relished everything she made,sighing he went ahead to eat on ye demands of his stomach.

As he was about to put the first morsel of food in his mouth,he was stopped by a loud shriek

'Arnavji,aap yeh nahi kha sakte'(Arnavji,you cant eat this)Khushi came running from the outisde door towards the table,she pushed the plate away from his side and turned to Payal

'Jiji ,Arnavji yeh sab nahi kha sakte'(jiji,Arnavji cant eat all this)she told Payal sternly.

'Lekin Khushi yeh to ghar ka khaana hai'(but,its home made food Khushi)Payal tried to reason.

'Haan jiji,lekin Arnavji ke sugar level itne dino se fluctuate ho raha tha isliye doscot inke liye ek diet plan banake gaye hai aur inko wahin follow karna padega.'(but jiji,the sugar levels of Arnavji has been fluctuating a lot since past few days and that is why doctor has made a diet plan specially for him).

Saying so she quickly went to the kitchen while Arnav looked at her retreating figure feeling overwhelmed by her love and concerned ,his eyes gleaming with adoration for her.

She returned after 5 minutes from the kitchen holding a glass in one and a plate in other hand,stopping near where he was seated she handed the glass to him

'Arnavji ,yeh aapka diet food hum jaane se pehle banake gaye the lekin usse pehle aapko yeh peena hai'.(Arnavji,here your diet food I made it before going out but before that you have to drink this)she told him hinting towards the glass he was holding.

'Yeh kya hai Khushi?'(what is this?)Khushi)he asked alarmed.

'Kaada' Khushi answered as if this was something people drink on a normal basis.

Seeing everyone glancing at her she told them all

'Woh Naniji, asal me subhe jab hum amma se baat kar rahe the toh unhone bataya tha,isiliye hum bahar gaye the lane,yeh sehat ke liye bahut accha hai'.(Naniji,actually I was talking to amma and she told me so I got the needed medicinals for this,its really good for health).

Arnav made a face smelling the concoction and announced

'Khushi, ismein se bahut ajeeb si smell aa rahi hai,im not drinking this'(Khushi,this is smelling way too weird I am not drinking this).

'Par, Arnavji yeh sach mein kaam karta hai, aap bhool gaye jab aapki awaaz chali gayi thi woh bhi kaada peene se hi waapas aayi thi'.(But,Arnavji you remember when your voice has gone then it came back due to a concoction like this).Khushi explained.

'I remember Khushi but this'

'Koi, baat nahi Chhotey tumhe nahi acha lag raha to rehnedo aur tab to tumhari awaaz chali gayi thi naa to aur koi tarika nahi tha ,aaj to aisi koi baat nahi hainaa Khushiji'(its fine Chhotey,if you don't like it then don't drink it,that time your voice was gone so there was no choice but that's not the matter now ,right Khushiji)Anjali spoke while eyeing towards Khushi.

'Ji di!'(yes ,di)Khushi answered silently.

She lifted her hand to take away the glass but Arnav was held it before her.

'Its okay di, Khushi ne bana diya hai toh ill drink it'(its okay di,since Khushi has already made it,so ill drink it).[I am sorry for butting in between,i know this kaada thing may feel unneccessary but when Arnav has lost his voice and naniji has told him he would have drank it if anjali was there,i so wanted to have a scene where he would do so for khushi and hence this).

Everyone watched astonished as Arnav gulped the drink in one go and he was rewarded with a full blown smile on Khushi's face,he could do anything to make sure that beautiful smile of her always remains then what was a bitter drink in front of it,he has drunk it noticing her fallen face which she immediately hid with a smile that didn't reached her eyes.

He started eating the food quietly and Khushi took her place by his side, Anjali actioned to Aakash and Payal to have a look at the couple who instead of being with all were engrossed in each other.Arnav ate his food silently with Khushi passing him water and things even before he asked.She winked at them mischievously and the trio decided to tease the couple a little.

'Khushiji' Anjali started

'Ji di!' Khushi said finally toring away her glance from Arnav.

'Woh aapne aaj jalebiyaan nahi banay'i.(you didn't made jalebis today)she asked.

'Kyun di ,aapka khaane ka mann hai,Arnavji khaale phir hum bana dete hai'.(di,you wish to eat them,let Arnavji finish after that I will make it).Khushi answered politely.

'Nahi who pichle kuch dinoin se aap roz bana rahi thi to humne socha shayad aap aaj bhi banayegi aur ab toh bhai bhi aa gaye hai toh'.(Khushiji,you were making them since past few days regularly so we thought you will make today now that bhai is back too).Aakash told her.

'Jijaji 'who'hum'(jijaji'i)Khushi struggled to form a coherent answer.

'Haan Khushi kitne din se to roz aap humein jalebiyaan khila rahi thi, aur aaj jab aapko banana chahiye thi aapne nahi banayi'(yes,Khushiji from so many days you are daily serving us jalebis and now when today you had to make them you didn't )Anjali said actingly.

Arnav sat silent listening everything, he could guess why has she made jalebis every single day ,he knew she made them everytime she was upset or worried about something and since she was the only one who has sensed something was wrong with him this was apparent to happen.

'Kya di, aap to aise keh rahi hai jaise who jalebiyaan badi achi hoti thi who toh hum sab bas iska dil rakhne ke liye kha lete the'.(Di,you are saying as if those jalebis were very tasty,we used to eat them so that she doesn't feel bad) Payal spoke not wanting to miss the chance of teasing her younger sister.

'Payal ,Khushi aur jalebiyaan achi naa banaye that is impossible'.(Payal,Khushi and jalebis not tasty doesn't go together)Arnav spoke up in defence of his wife culinary skills.

Noticing everyone teasingly smiling at Khushi who by now was looking down fidgeting with the dupatta in her fingers.He said out aloud losing his patience

'Di what are you all saying,cant u say anything directly'

'Bhai zyaada nahi ,who hum sab ko roz sugarfree jalebis khani padti thi aur ab jinhe aadat naa ho unke liye toh achi nahi hogi naa'(Nothing much bhai,we have to daily eat sugarfee jalebis and those who are not used to it for them it would not be nice)Aakash finally said ending Arnav's anxiety.

'Hum,Arnavji ki dawai lekar aatey hai'(I will get Arnavji's medicines)khusi sprinted towards their room saying so and everyone burst out in heavy laughter.

Lost in the information supplied to him,Naniji broke his trance by telling him her voice filled with adulation for her daughter in law.

'Chhotey, Khushi bitiya aapke bina bahut hi gumsum aur udaas rehavat rahi,aisa lagat raha ki woh Khushi toh kahin kho gayi thi,veh zyaada se zyaada waqt apan kamre mein hi guazaarat rahi ,aapki yaad mein jalebiyaan banana,hamesha muskarati rehne waali Khushi bitiya jaise hasna hi bhool gayi thi ,aaj itne dino baad humne unhe dil se muskarate hue dekha hai.(Khushi bitiya was so lost without you,she used to be so upset,it seemed like she has forgotten how to smile,she used to spend most of her time in her room,the ever smiling her seemed had forgotten it,today after so many days I have seen her smile from her heart).'

Everyone nodded as Khushi came back with his medicines,he took it from her and swallowed them and as everyone dispersed he too made his way towards his room needing some space to grasp all that he was coming to know.Khushi being silent this is something he was discovering difficulty in coming around this fact has his absence has affected her so much,the separation has made him realised many things,he was terrible without her.

Knowing his questions held no answer as of now he decided to check on his work it has been days and he needed to get updated on the happenings of AR.

He went ahead to pick up his laptop from his usual place but it wasn't there ,he searched the whole room but he couldn't find it he swore he needed a new phone like now.

He called Aman from the landline and finally his call was answered

'Aman its me ASR'

'ASR welcome back,hope everything is fine'.Aman spoke feeling good to have his boss back in action.

'Yes, Aman everything is fine,now comeon shoot with all the happenings since the day I wasn't here'.he said in his usual tone which clearly meant business.

'ASR im sorry but I couldn't do that'.replied Aman

'What the hell do u mean you cant do that,I need to know what all has taken place when I was away if there were any issues that required to be taken care off'.

'ASR there wasn't any issue everything is running smoothly and except that I cant give u any more details these are the orders from Khushi mam not to disturb u, until and unless she calls me to tell that ur returning to work.'Aman replied calmingly.

'What'Arnav exclaimed not quite believing that Khushi has gone ahead and done ordered Aman .

'Yes ASR and as a dutiful employee I have to abide by mrs boss orders,take care ASR'.Aman ended the call before he has to face the burnt of the famous ASR anger.

'Khushi' he called out for her loudly from the room.

Khushi came into the room hurriedly and asked him immediately 'Ji Arnavji aapko kuch chahiye'(you need something Arnavji),

Khushi, tumne Aman ko phone kiya tha(you called Aman Khushi)he tried to keep his voice low.

'Haan. Kiya tha. Arnavji aapko rest karna chahiye Amanji aur jijaji sab sambhal lenge.(yaa ,Arnavji you need to rest,Amanji and jijaji are there to handle everything).Khushi said as if explaining something t a small child.

'Mera laptop kahaan hai Khushi?'(where is my laptop Khushi?)He asked her while searching it again in the wadrobe.

'Woh humne chupa diya aur aapko tab tak nahi milega jab tak aap poori tarah se chust dust au tandusurat nahi ho jaaye'(I hid it and you are not getting it until you are perfectly fine and healthy).Khushi announced.

'chust durust what the Khushi I am saying I am fine'he was tired of everyone asking him same question again and again.

'earning no response from her he turned around to see her smiling through tears,his anger gone instantly replaced by concern,he wiped off her tears speaking earnestly.

'Khushi shhh its okay,I promise I will rest and not strain myself due to work.

'nahi who aaj bahut dino baad what the sunna naa isliye'(nothing,I heard what the after so many days that's why)said Khushi.

Time seemed to freeze at that moment,they both stood staring into each other eyes,his one still holding her face saying with eyes which words would never be able to comprehend.

' Aap aaram kijiye, hum aatey hain'(you rest ,ill come)Khushi told and walked out of the room.

ASR was not used to following orders but here he was silently following his crazy yet cute wife directions without any arguments,he laid down on the bed but got up after sometime,this resting business all day was surely not his cup of tea.

Pacing around the room, he walked off to the poolside deciding to tend his plants, gardening was surely not a work so it wldnt upset Khushi also,he told himself.

As he stepped closer towards the plants he was pleasantly surprised to see them all in good condition ,carefully cut and heeded with water and all the necessities,his garden blooming as he has left it,who has done that,he for sure knew that OP or JP could never tend to his garden like that and except him noone has interest in gardening, he has created this place with his own hands and looking at the plants it seemed someone has taken care of them with as much as love as he does.

'Chhotey' Anjali came and stood near him.

'Di aap, aaiye naa'(di ,you please come)he answered back.

They both sat on the chairs while Arnav eyes again wandered towards the plants,Anjali caught the object of his attention and spoke

'tum,yahi soch rahe ho naa ki yeh sab kisne kiya,hum batate hai Khushiji ne'

'Khushi'this day was turning out to be a series of surprises for him and luckily they were all pleasant ones.

'Aisey kya dekh rahe ho tumhe pata hai tum jab yahaan nahi the woh in paadhoin se baatein kiya karti thi,shayad tumhari shikayat karti thi,tum jaante ho jis din tum gaye the aur tumhara koi phone nahi aaya tha who kitna ghabrayi gayi thi,us raat nani unke paas rahi aur uske aad har chotti chotti baat par ro padti thi,jab baarish ka mausam tha toh hum unhe kambal dene aaye the aur hum tumhari baarein mein bata kar hi rahe the ki who bahut udaas ho gayi thi,nani,Payalji aur humne itni koshish ki unhe samjhaane ki par hum kuch bhi nahi kar paaye,tum jaante ho kyun kyunki unki har muskhurahat tumse judi hai,humein ab tumhari koi chinta nahi ho Chhotey kyunki tumhare paas Khushiji hai aur who tumse behad pyaar karti hai,tumhari itni care karti hai jitni shayad hum bhi nahi kar sakte'(why are you seeing me like this,you know when you were not here she used to be here and talk to your plants,may be she used to complain about you,the day you left and there was no trace of you, she was so restless that nani slept with her that night and after that every small thing used to drive her to tears,that day it was raining and I came to give her blankets,we have barely started talking about you that she became so upset,me,Naniji and Payal tried so much to make her smile but no avail and I now know why because her every happiness is dependent on you,now I need not worry about you anymore because Khushiji is there with you,she cares for you so much that even I cant do ever).

Anjali was not surprised to find his eyes moist and deciding to leave him alone for sometime she silently left the room,Arnav hasn't noticed when has his di left her words reviberating in his mind again and again and as the information sunked in it was replaced first by a heartiest smile and then by a lopsided smirk.

Khushi kumari Gupta Singh Raizada has some answers to give and this time he was not giving in without it.

I choose Anjali as the one who told Arnav about all this,because seeing her in those days and being aware of Arnav's feelings for her too,she should have acted as an elder sister for once and taken a step back being secured in the knowledge that her little brother has finally found that girl for whom she wishes for.

There ARNAV knows about it now almost everything,So KKGSR has the questions regarding her things and ASR has planned something too and with this an important revelation is left too.
