The next day she saw him at the breakfast table and their eyes met. Arnav saw her ace had turned cold and she had stopped smiling when he had come over the dining table. Khushi ignored him completely, and got up to leave with his dad.
"Where are you going?"
"Excuse me, son?"
"Not you dad, sorry! I mean Khushi! Arent you going with me?"
"No she had to go to the library'don't make us late now, Arnav!"
"I have to go the library too..i just remembered..so I can take her. Come on!"
"Aah, what a nice morning, isn't it?" He looked at her mischievously.
Khushi didn't reply and instead opened one of her files on her lap.
"Ofcourse it is, u got a chance to go with ASR to college. Hundreds of girls want to be in your place right now, you know that?
"I would rather walk to college than sit in your car with you, do you know that?" She snapped, her eyes still focused on her file.
"Aah someone got attitude. I know girls like you. They ignore us to attract us. But keep in mind babes, you are not my type."
"First of all Arnav Singh Raizada! I am not your babes. Don't you dare call me that again or else'. Secondly, you think I want to attract you. Who are you, haan? A rich brat, a high achiever! Is that all? I am sorry but none of that makes you any better in my view. Just because there are a few mad girls out there, you think every girl is interested in you? Get out of this illusion and wake up, before you go completely mad!"
"Yeah right! Somebody is acting all tiger-ish in the morning! Then how come you were all "bheegi-billi" at night, when I held you the other night!"
"Don't get me started about that!" Arnav saw Khushi's face turning a slight shade of pink, and he smirked.
"Oh, but why not? You can tell me all about how you liked the proximity between us. I swear I won't mind.."
'You were stinking so bad, it made me cry! How's that as an explanation?"
"Hahahahaha!" Arnav laughed sportingly. "You have surprised me again with your sense of humor!"
"When was the first time I surprised you?" Khushi demanded.
"College is here. Now, I don't want you to follow me everywhere or try to be part of my group..cuz you know'"
"Yeah I know I am not your type and so are you!" Khushi got out of the car and shut the door loudly again.
"Somebody needs some manners!" Arnav checked his hair in the back view mirror and saw her going ahead in a light blue suit.

"NK saw that new girl coming out of your car now?" Lavania inquired.
"Aah Khushi? Yes she lives with us."
"WHAT??? Why didn't you tell me before? Why is she living with you?
"Stop bombarding me with questions Lavania! She is a family friend, and that should be enough for you. Are you coming with me to Akshay's party tonight?

Arnav came out to the driveway to go to Akshay's party and saw Khushi sitting on the grass with her head down, in the lawn from the distance.
He glanced at his shining beamer, but went to Khushi to pull her leg as usual.
"Don't tell me you are crying as usual??" He ran his fingers in his shoulder length brown hair.
Khushi looked up, her eyes teary, red and puffy.
"Aah, I was right. Honestly don't you get bored?"
"Will you marry me?"
Arnav's caramel brown eyes were fixed at her stone white face and red nose.
"What did you say?" He barked.
"Arnav Singh Raizada, will you please marry me?" Khushi's voice trembled with fear.
Arnav fell down to his knees.
"What the???? Tell me it's a joke. Right? You are kidding me right?"
"Arnav please!!! I am not joking. I have no other option. Can you please marry me tonight. No it's too late. Can we please get married tomorrow. At college time?" She asked, her kohl smudged eyes full of fear.
"What has happened? Why..?"
