Chapter 2-

Delhi

So? How are we getting inside AR and RM? Asked Karan sitting in their new apartment which they rented out after coming to Delhi.

As there is no Steve in AR now… they need a replacement! So AR is trying to hire someone from states who is good at financial matters… so you will be going there in that place… you will be known as Karan Mehra…!

Hmm and what about the security check and your entry in RM?! Karan asked

Don't worry about that…! I have made the security check come out clean…and as far as the entry…I have created a new story to get myself and you into RM and AR head quarters PG accommodation respectively…! Khushi said with a smile on her face recalling her story that she said to one and all…

And what is that madam?! Karan asked leaning back on the couch ready to hear the crazy things which his lil sis could have done…

You know Arjun Rawte right? The DCP of Delhi police?

Yeah…! What about him? Karan asked a frown creasing his forehead.

He recently got married to Roshini Talwar… khushi started to explain

Hmm so? What do you expect me to do? Go and wish him for his happy married life?! Karan asked sarcastically…

For once can you be patient and listen to me without passing sarcastic comments?

And for once can you stop being dramatic with the story thingy and come to the point?

Huh?! Fine! Khushi sighed in defeat when she could not bring out the curiosity from Karan… he would never show what he thinks or shows in his reactions clearly…ever!!

Okay so listen…the girl that Arjun married…Roshini! She is Anjali Mathur's best friend…!

Wait a minute..! This Anjali Mathur is Arnav Singh Raizada's elder sister if I'm not wrong… right?

Yes…! That's the point where Roshini helps us… RAW head quarters have informed Arjun to help us in our mission… so Arjun's wife Roshini will introduce me to Anjali as her far of cousin who couldn't make it to her wedding… as Roshini's family is in Mumbai and I'm studying in Delhi she will ask Anjali to help me in accommodation for a few weeks until I find a suitable place to move in with my brother…!

Wait…! What? You are studying…? And who is your brother…? Are you trying to get some more agents into this mission…? Karan asked thoroughly confused….

Ofcourse no dumbo…! You will be my brother… and my name will be Khushi Mehra…and I have said them that I will be doing my arts course from Delhi University in correspondence… in that way I can spend much time with the family members and get to know them! She stated.

Ok but would they not ask that why you won't stay with me? And cant Roshini keep you in her house itself and etc etc…? Karan asked khushi which would be the basic doubts any family would ask if anyone or coming over to their house to stay…

I know… but don't worry… all these questions will be answered! You are an employee in AR and you can't possibly keep the whole family with you there right?! And as far as why I'm not staying with Roshini will be because she has recently got married and she can't possibly call upon her relatives to her sasuraal even before she could settle there right?!

Hmm yeah…! That pretty much sums up the whole… I must say you did a great job! Karan said nodding his head in appreciation for the work khushi did!

Well thank you! Khushi said with a wide smile on her face….

Hey but what about our family story and all…. I'm sure the Raizada's will ask such questions…he said totally thinking of what all the questions may creep up when you are going to stay with some other family!

Yeah I know… and for that I told a little truth about your life…! Khushi said all serious now and appreciating that Karan is also thinking in the same lines as her.

What do you mean? Karan asked though he knew what she would have told….

I just said that our parents died in a car crash and we have no close relatives other than Roshini… I couldn't bring up any other story to tell… ofcourse she couldn't tell anyone what happened in her past and to her parents… that was the scariest thing which a 14 year old could handle!!

Hmm ok…

Karan said and got up from his seat and went into his room to check upon some last minute details of what should be done. Talking about their parents was something which was very difficult to both Karan and khushi… they had seen their parents die in front of their own eyes! Ofcourse his case was different… his parents died when he was just 17… he and his family were on family outing in the hill stations of nainital when the accident took place. He was lucky that he escaped but that brutal accident took his parents away… he saw his parents burning inside the car and asking for help… but he could do nothing about it! But what bothered him more was khushi… he considered her as his own sister! She was the one for whom he could die for… his parents died in an accident but khushi's… he sighed! He couldn't even think about it!

Khushi who was lost in her own thoughts about her past suddenly remembered that they would be starting on their mission the next day itself and called him out…

Karan… our mission starts tomorrow! Be ready… you will have to be at exactly at 9 in AR… I've heard they are very strict about punctuality…! She said as she recalled her informer telling her how hot headed the Chairman of AR was….

Sure…! And when are you going to RM?! He asked just to make sure about his sister's whereabouts' correctly!

Tomorrow evening… you will have to come and meet them once when your work is over… I think the Raizada's would like to meet my brother….!

Sure Roshini…I can definitely do that for you…! After all what are best friends for…? Hmm… bye! Anjali Mathur kept the phone sighing and turned only to see her nani and mami coming towards her.

Who was it Anjali bitiya? Nani asked coming towards Anjali and settling down on the posh couch in the living room.

It was Roshini nani… she said her far off cousins are coming to India from states… as they are new here they need few weeks to settle down... so Roshini was asking if we can provide the accommodation for one of them…!

Hell hi bye bye…. Why only one of them? Tell them that we have a berry beeg houshe and can accommodate both of them! Mami said so that she could boast about herself and her family of how generous they were and wealthy too…

I told mami… but it seems one of her cousin got a job in some company here so he will be staying in the PG at their office itself… Anjali said with a gentle smile on her face knowing well what her mami was implying too…

Oh ok ok… and who is coming here…? Nani asked

They are brother and sister nani… the younger one's name is khushi…. Khushi Mehra… she is coming over here. Her brother is Karan Mehra.

Hmm… when is she coming?

She is coming tomorrow evening nani… Anjali said with a smile on her face

Who is coming where di? Arnav asked

Anjali turned around to see her lil brother and her husband walking inside the house… face full tired and worry lines on their forehead and laptop bags in their hands. She moved towards them with a gentle smile on her face welcoming them.

My best friend Roshini's cousin chote… she will be staying with us for a while…

Oh that's nice anji… Aman said side hugging his beautiful wife who always made up his mood with her heart warming smile and sweet talks.

When is she coming? He asked with general curiosity…

Tomorrow evening… by the time she comes I will make sure the guest room is ready! Anjali said mentally noting herself of what all should be done to welcome the new guest and simultaneously preparing a coffee to her husband and sitting close to him… almost side hugging him. Aman hugged his wife back and keeping his hand on her shoulder and giving a feather light kiss on her forehead.

The other members in the family smiled looking at the lost-in-love couple. They had always been like this, very loving and warm with each other. Sometimes it was difficult for the family members to be around them seeing to it that this couple will always be in a mood of PDA!!! If not for Anjali and Aman then it would be akash and payal for their shy glances and gestures secretly which they thought was unnoticed by everyone when the case was that each and every member in the family knew how much oh-we-are-in-love couple they were!!!

And by the way di… when is akash coming back from his honeymoon? When I call him he won't pick up!! Arnav said running a hand through his hair sitting with his family and thinking thwarted he was for not having contact with his brother for over 2 weeks in a row! He needed akash to come back soon and there was many pending works left only which akash could clear up!

Chote… akash has gone to a honeymoon! Not any business trip to answer YOUR calls… and as far as when he is returning… he will be coming after 2 days… he had called this morning to inform. Anjali said to her brother who was asking about akash only because she knew there was something important came up that akash has to handle! That is why she had stressed on YOUR calls so that he could get her point that he always talks business and that won't go well for couple in honeymoons… would it?!

Whatever di… 2 weeks is really too much…! He said getting up and making his way towards his room…?!

It's not too much chote…! It's too less…! And remember I and your jijaji had gone for a month…! So it's not too much!! Anjali shouted on his retreating back…

Yeah I remember di…! And I say people like you guys are love sick! Arnav said halting at the stairs and turning back towards his di and making a face.

And one day you will come to know how amazing it would be to love sick when you meet your girl chote! Anjali said grinning at herself imagining her chote all romantic and caring towards his love.

That day will never come di…! I have a mind and I'm not like jijaji to commit a suicide to marry or fall in love with someone like you guys… arnav said grinning to himself in his mind and masking it with a cool expression on his face.

May be not like me chote… but someone better! Someone like a ring master… who can tame this wild loin! She said patting herself on the back when she saw her brother's bemused look.

Whatever… was all arnav could say to his di's animated talks and went to his room to have a cold shower and cool down his nerves… today was really a hectic day for him! The whole Steve fiasco had crept up his mind and kept him out of real business…! Tomorrow…! He thought… tomorrow he should start afresh with all the new tenders and concentrate his mind on the coming up schedules which would probably eat him up. And not to forget the new guest of his di coming and staying with them from tomorrow!

At the back of his mind… he did have this unusual feeling of something's gonna change or something big gonna happen! It was just a thought. But this time he wasn't feeling any negative vibes through these thoughts…this wasn't a nasty feeling. These gut feelings he was having right now was giving him some sort of peace that everything will be taken care of, and surely there would be a new start to his life again. Warmth spread over his body after ages and he felt good about it. With these thoughts in mind he retired to his bed with deep slumber taking over him and having a pleasant sleep after years.
