Luna you go girl

Edited:

That's it. I am going to Rome this year. COME.WHAT.MAY - It is # 1 on my places to visit and the line where the narrator feels the city's soul in the buildings that are casually a hundred to a thousand years old - that is the feeling I am looking for, waiting for.

I don't even want to see Kay and Aye..there...

Fine, who am I kidding...Even in that "snatches of conversation" love story... I fell in love with them...they are the Kay and Aye we know and love, only better, much better. So. so beautiful.

And thank you for correcting that scene so well, Say...I mean Semanti (it's the Kay, Aye effect Okay..i don't usually rhyme so badly!) I HATED that scene - for the makers who made a mockery out of suicide...for Arnav who couldnt see that the woman he blamed was willing to die because she didn't want to be in his way...for Khushi...for just being so bloody cowardly (and for listening to Kamlesh Khatri!)

BUT

This time, S, I want to compliment you on your writing..not the story, not the emotion...the writing..You have the knack of making everything seem so fluid and easy. I read every word in your story...every punctuation. I feel myself starting to skim because I am so excited and then I go back and read again. You have a talent so natural that I would hate to see it wasted. So please, do me a favor and write a book someday...Such talent doesn't deserve to be limited to a few of us.

Thanks to Lovegood I got a great res spot, which I am kinda sorta late at un-resing.

I loved this version of that scene! OMG! The narrative was amazing, the details of the architecture and the description was amazing. Makes me want to take a trip. #Sigh

And then there was Kay, I think I love that nickname for Khushi! Best one I have heard so far!

The fall, and the rescue! So beautifully done! I was one of the people requesting this scene and dil khush kar di tu ne, Sems!

And his worry, her torment at handing her heart back to him!

And you did it all in third person pov! Take a bow, Sems. This might be your best tale yet!

Edit
I just loved the way story unfurled as a narration by a third person. There was no big flashback of what went wrong between A and Kay ,but the snatches of their conversation effectively expressed all the conflicts, the love and the longing.
It was absolutely beautiful, the way A expressed how much he missed Kay.Even though you've not told a lot about him,I've fallen in love with A, for being so persistent in wooing his lady.I imagine Kay as someone who is sunny, cheerful and ever-smiling.
There was a subtle touch of Arnav-Khushi of IPK in this tale.Be it the argument, their signature falling on each other,A dragging Kay away, the bone-crushing hug,A offering his jacket and the heart melting tender way he swept the stray strands of hair away from her face.
Reading this tale took me back to my history classes in 7th standard. :)
Another masterpiece!
Don't say goodbye Semanti, it hurts 😭
Hum hain rahi pyar ke,phir milenge chalte chalte LOL!
I really really hope that inspiration strikes soon-ish.

Meera's additon was worth it to this amazing line of stories!

The story in itself held an aura of regality, of value like those precious jewelleries of emotions and of the delicate love! Thanks for recreating that horrendous fadak pcadhta hai scene!

Oh, I love the anonymous narrator thing. You have always experimented with narrative devices, and this is one is also a success. There is a fine line between curious and voyeuristic in such cases, and you did a fine job at keep to the "curious side". Especially when the narrator decides to pray for their happy ending.

The beauty of Rome shone bright throughout the tale. I'm sure everyone wants to go there this minute!

Holding on, indeed. I loved the last scene more than the confrontation. He gives her the jacket and moves away, inconspicuously. Thats very Arnav, he never makes a big deal about the good things he does.

Thank you for the wonderful stories, ladies!

Loved the tale and the note at the end.
I'll never be able to understand the mindset of people who commit suicide.
Agree with you totzlly on the point you have tried to make in the guise of a love story, specially when I heard recently of a young actress commiting suicidebecause of a failed love affair.

The thing I love the most about your riting, Semanti, is that you don't just tell a love story. You put in random facts like something about the history of a place, a famous painting, a sculpture, a film or a book you have read. So the tale is not just a romantic love story but also contains certain gems of knowledge too.

Loved the way the narrator is worried about Khushi and follows her to discover that Arnav is in fact her husband.
You have spun a lovely tale around the terrace suicide scene. Arnav followinf Khushi in order to get her back was sweet. The poor guy learnt so much about Italian history and Art because his wife left him. I loved the ending where you left it to the reader to imagine what happened ext in the lives of Khushi and Arnav.
