KriYansh OS- Painting of Love
She sat erect, royalty evident in her. Her one leg on the other and her hands perfectly rested on the sides. Her hair tied in a top knot beautifully and a beautiful tiara having diamonds, emeralds, rhinestone and topaz. The collar of her gorgeous gown was covering the sides of her neck. She wore the most beautiful jewellery having all the gemstones. She wore the best make, though her beauty didn't need much. Yes, she was every girl's dream. She was a princess.
She was the princess of the royal city, Isfahan She was the best princess. She had all the qualities a princess could have. She could do everything: Horse-riding, archery, ballroom dancing, cooking, singing, martial arts, yoga, sports, quizzing, debating and above all, her favourite hobby, sketching. She had a keen interest in arts.
"Father, this is not done. How can you get me married so soon! I'm just 22," Kria, the princess grimaced. There was a feather-drop silence except for the chirps of the sparrows and flapping of the pages her father, the king did. Only the princess had the privilege to enter his study. Usually, Kria could persuade him easily. But this time, he was firm.
"Kria, you know I'm firm this time. And moreover, our forefathers have got their daughters by the age of 20. And you're past that age. And I guess as your father, I have the right to make your decision," said a rather firm and frustrated king, Gautam Rai Prakash.
"But," she tried to protest.
"No buts. You are to get married."
"Ugh. Father, you are hopeless," she frowned. She sat for a while pouting when she got an idea.
"Father, I'll get married. But I'll choose my partner. You have to agree this," she chirped. The king chuckled and gave the permission. "So, the suitors will be coming tomorrow.."
"Hold on father. First will come my conditions."
"Conditions?" "Yea. Conditions for the suitor. Not such big ones. First he has to impress you. Once you have approved him, he'll come to me. He will have to come to me. He will have to make a portrait of mine. A photograph of mine will also take a photo of mine. Then the royal artist will also make a portrait of mine. If his portrait is the best of all, he can marry me."

He was approved by the king due to his dashing personality and rich background. He was a painter, living in Isfahan itself.
"May I come in princess?" he asked humbly as he knocked on the door, peeping in a little. "Don't you dare!" she screamed. He quickly shrugged outside. Princess had been changing. Reyansh got quite a view of her back. He was smitten, in the first view itself. He smiled a little as he heard the parrot repeating what she was muttering.
"Don't you dare!" the parrot repeated.
"Goodness gracious. Why do I have to get married?" Kria frowned.
"Goodness gracious. Why do I have to get married?" The parrot repeated. The process continued:
"And for the truckloads of suitors to come."

Reyansh heard the parrot repeat everything. He slightly knocked slightly.
"Princess, can I be of any help?"
She concluded there was no other way out. She leaned on a pillar.
"Ugh. Come in!" Reyansh smiled and entered. He saw her there leaning uneasily over the pillar. "Erm..I assure you princess. I'll keep my eyes force shut." His face was beaming with confidence. He winked his eyes giving her confidence. She blinked twice looking down. "Okay. Shut your eyes." He shut his eyes as ordered. She ascended towards him, her heart thumping. She had never come across a situation like this. Nor had he. She turned her back towards him. He stood there inhaling her scent. She smelled of fresh lavender and vanilla. He roamed his hands in the air not finding the chain His eyes were shut, you know!
"Hey? Zip fast. You're not the only suitor here."
"Meaning you are sure I won't be suitable for you?"
"Ha. You and suitable for me? In your dreams."
"Why would I dream of you?"
"What do you mean by that? EVERY male dreams of me."
"So you expect me to dream of you? That will be in your dreams."
"My dreams? Come on. I don't think your portrait will be that good to make me dream of you."
"You better stop arguing. I can't find your zip as my eyes are sealed. Please?"
She was embarrassed a bit.
"Oh sorry. Here," she said taking his hand in hers and placing it on the zip. Juts the mere touch sent shivers down their spines. And in the process, Reyansh's hand touched her back. It was a new experience for both of them. He did it soon and opened his eyes.
"Thank you. Now of the portrait, come here," she said leading him to the other side of a wall. There was a sofa-type swing and the parrot on a little stand beside the swing. Princess didn't believe in caging birds. She'll leave the window open for the parrot to go out whenever he'd like. But he'd come back missing princess.
She sat on the swing, and the parrot on her elbow. She built on a little smile and looked in his direction. By eyes she showed him the canvas where he was to paint. He bowed and went to the seat. There was palette and all sorts of brushes ready there. He started painting. He'll look for a while in her eyes and then paint.
Just the look of melted her bones. She had never felt so. She sighed inwardly and maintained the look of her.
Hours passed, and soon, the portrait was made. She stood up and stretched. She went and had a look at the portrait. She was, mesmerized. It looked, so, so realistic. The shades, and all.
By the look of her, he understood her feelings. She was impressed. So he thought of a little teasing.
"Well. You've got a queue in there, don't you? I shall leave."
"Um..uh..actually.."
Reyansh, who was acting to leave, put on a confused face and looked back, "Yes Princess? Actually?"
"I LOVED YOUR PAINTING."
"Well, so?"
"What "so"? Don't tease me," she pouted.
"Okay. So I think this a yes?" he said coming closer. The princess stood there, her eyes looking at the ground beneath her. She shyly nodded her head. He came closer more, and hugged her fiercely. The princess reciprocated a little later. He cupped her face and kissed her softly. Their eyes were closed, as they savoured the moment. A bond, strong one, had developed between them. This is what they say, the brush of the heart.
The king was really glad by her decision. They got married, without any delay. Kria and Reyansh were famous in the whole kingdom. They said, she was a sketcher and didn't know painting much. He was a painter and didn't know much sketching. They completed each other. The painting was remembered as the 'Painting of Love'.
