He felt hopeless.

Arnav got up from the bed and looked once more at her.

Her tears had now almost dried and she rubbed off the remnants.

While Arnav was supposing..Khushi was thinking.

Khushi's POV

I need to talk to him before he leaves. I had to live here at least for a week.. and I had to adjust with him and his family. I am the guest here, though it is that he never wanted it to be. Well, for sake of Anna's friendship I must keep our professional and personal level separate. He need to know that.

When she looked at him she saw him turning around and he was about to leave.

He felt a soft affectionate touch on his arm.

He hadn't expected this.

Arnav's POV

What does she want?

I thought her to be a reserved one. But noo.. now she will try to flatter or seduce me.

If it is not, then

He cannot continue forming an opinion. Khushi's voice had ruptured his thoughts.

Khushi was no more in her meek and mild self.

Though she was tremendously afraid about the upcoming reaction, she continued.

Khushi: Mr. Raizada you must be thinking that I am trying to seduce you or torment you with my emotional talks. Don't worry. Please seat. I need to talk with you now before you can form any opinion on me. Good or bad. Whatever. It wouldn't have mattered what you thought about me till now. I wouldn't have thought about you at all. But, this is not business. This is your home. And I am the guest here. May be an unwanted guest if, I am not wrong.

She spoke in one breath..

Well, back to the point.

Arnav was about to answer, but he checked..he doesn't want to get insulted unnecessarily by her and then he will lose his temper..better to be quiet he thought.

Khushi continues,

Whatever our business relations are, inside Shantivan I will not treat you as my rival, partner or anything related to business, to me here you are my friend Anna's elder brother. And I will expect the same conduct from you.

You can say if there is still anything left out by me.

And before you start I am highly impressed that you had grown into a very attentive listener.

Arnav was captivated with this beauty with brains.

But after all he is a man.

Arnav: that's interesting for your part Ms. Khushi Gupta. But I like to keep my business relations in it's place. And you are immature so you came up with such notion or you would have known that it is something very basic to keep professional and personal affairs separate.

Khushi: Sure, Mr. Raizada. The basic thoughts and expressions are well understandable and I am not that expert to understand the integrated ones.

So, it is hard for both of us..let's be friends.

She moved her hand forward to shake hands.

Arnav couldn't help smiling seeing this childish gesture.

He shaked hands with her.

While shaking hands he spoke.

Arnav: if we are going to be friends..then we must stop addressing each other with this typical formality.

Khushi: yeah..sure Mr. Raizada.

Arnav: you faltered again. KHUSHI..

Khushi instantly blushed hearing her name with such sweetness.

She felt some goodness with it and a smile appeared in her face unknowingly.

Arnav observed her reactions. He was mixed up.

He realised his mistake of giving Khushi too much attention.

But Khushi spoke and it hindered his departure.

Khushi: what I am going to call you?

Arnav: why? Don't you know my name?

Khushi: umm..yeah..but confused.

Arnav's temper has cooled now and he was in a better mood.

Arnav understood at an instant.

Arnav: I prefer if you call me as Arnav. Chotte is applicable only for my elders..which you do not constitute of.

Khushi can't help smiling.

The PAST continues

The torchlight was getting dim. But he could see something. A girl, she was searching something. It was too dark to understand so he thought asking for help. He approached to her with some hope. But he was wrong, completely wrong. The girl not at all helped him, instead she attacked him. She hit him with a blunt rod on his head and he fell there. Luckily for him the attack was not fatal, but he was unconscious. The girl thought he was dead and she left there as soon as possible..without leaving a single trace.

This girl was Amrita Tripathi..and now..she is..

Got some hints Girls??
