Part 14.
"How are these?" anjali exclaimed in excitement seeing a pair of gold Kangans.
"Nice choice Anju... And look at these." Said chachi showing her interest in the kangans as well as showing anjali a diamond necklace.
"Not Bad chachi. I think Dadi should learn something from you and become trendy." Said anjali giving a high five to chachi and showing her tounge to dadi.
"What do you think I am not trendy? Wait I will show you how trendy I am. Now you all will see what I will select for my beautiful bahu." She said challengingly and went ahead to choose something that will take out 'old' tag from her and submit her in youngsters group. She has to do it otherwise how will she have the right to become Salman Khan's fan.
'This is for you Salman.' She said.
"Yay yay… go ahead dadi. I bet you will never qualify in the group for Salman's young fan group. Ab Ap ki umar ho gai hai." Said anjali and both aunt nephew had a hearty laugh at seeing their still young from heart dadi's bewildered face.
"Just shut up! You both. I am just 65…" she said and then seeing smirking faces of her enemies changed it to " okay okay… not 65… 70. But still I am young. Not like you both grannies. Hain na Garima ji?" she asked Garima who was till now an amusing watcher of the show.

Anjali brought Garima to raizada's house saying that they have already called the jewellers and Sari men there. So they need not to go out for shopping as it will be very hectic job. She has told garima that it will be easy for them to shop from home and have assured her that the best will be present there. To say Garima could have a doubt on raizada's choice would be like saying that sun rises at night. Garima was on the contrary highly impressed with the idea of shopping from home as that will save time and energy. But the only problem she could think of was how could she go to her daughter's in law's house and shop for her engagement. She knows that raizada's are very open minded but still! After all she is the mother of the bride. So in her great dilemma she at once called her all time guide and support her husband. She excused herself from Anjali in the pretext of some work and went inside to call shashi. She knew he was the only one who could guide her and yes indeed he did.
Flashback.
"Hello... meri mumtaaz." Said shashi in a very romantic voice.
"App bhi na... behave." she said fully contended with his response.
"Arey... what's the problem? I am behaving the way I should behave with my young wife." He flirted.
"Yeah.. yeah I am young and you are king of Afganistan." She said chuckling. "Okay now listen... I want your advice!" she said coming to the point.
"Where did the sun rise from today?" he asked.
"Arey... shut up and listen now... I don't have time as anjali is waiting for me in living area."
"Anjali ???" he asked puzzled.
"yeah... she has come to take me to Shantivan for engagement shopping." She said nervously.
"So what's the problem. Go." He said. "and it will be better as you will also get time to know them better. After all our princess has to spend her life there." He added.
"But how... how can I go to Khushi's in law's and do shopping. You know what I mean. I mean will it be not awkward to go there before marriage and..."
"I think you have really grown old dear." Shashi said and garima frowned.
"I mean in which world you are living? It is 21st century! Wake up." He continued "It will be awkward if you refuse them. I mean they are such nice people and you are thinking other way around."
"So I should go?" garima asked still confused.
"I should bang my head somewhere. Aur nahin toh kya? You should definitely go and mingle up with them, know them better. And you will also feel better to shop with someone with our both princess busy with their work neglecting your plea to go with you." Shashi said.
"I think you are right." Agreed garima.
"The boss is always right." He said proudly on the phone.
"Well... boss ji! Tell your darling Payal also to reach Shantivan after her college so that she would not eat my head up afterwards for not taking her for her sister's engagement shopping."
"Yeah. I will." Replied shashi. " By the way say Hi from my side to anjali bitiya!"
"okay I will... so go back to work and don't forget to take leave for 2 days." Reminded garima.
"Yes! I have taken leave for tomorrow and day after but as it was on short notice I will have to finish some important work today. So I will be late. Don't start panicking. Bye!" he said.
"I don't panick...I only... whatever Bye." And garima cut the call after receiving a sarcastic laugh from shashi.
So now it was decided that she is going to shantivan and without any confusion.
' Some persons in life are meant to solve your problems.' She thought thinking about how shashi's one word of support was enough for her to cope up with anything.

"Garima??" not getting a response from garima dadi asked again.
"Yes.. oh..uh... sorry... I was thinking something." garima apologised for not paying attention to her question.
"I know what you must be thinking garima ji!" exclaimed manorma and then seeing a confused garima said "yahi ki... how much we fight na?"
"No... no I was just..." explained garima.
"You know garima ji... this is our daily routine to fight with each other. I mean it is like yoga for us. Good for our health. And now unfortunately your daughter will also be included in this." Saying this she gave a high-five to anjali.
"And you know what aunty. We will always torture Khushi similarly if she took dadi's side for being the fan of sallu!"
"So in that case. I think my daughter will have to file a report in police for torture as she is the greatest fan of Salman Khan. So Maaji you are going to get a companion you see." Turning to dadi she said.
"That's a great news now! And don't worry beta I will see to it that nobody tortures my Khushi otherwise I will take their name out from my jewellery distribution list." She said smirking.
Anjali and manorma could not help but form a big 'o' shape expression on seeing their simple old lady blackmailing them.
"Anuty ji... let Khushi come here. I will change her." Anjali said.
"You can't beta. I've tried many times but both my daughters always go flat on salman." She said shaking her head.
"Then don't worry! Chottey I mean Arnav your damad is enough for her because as it is dadi's obsession for salman irks him and now he would never tolerate his own wife to be fan of any one else. You know he is very possessive about people whom he love. He will surely change her opinion."
"Then it will be the best news for me. As for any mother it is the best thing to know that her daughter is the biggest fan of her husband and in turn her husband loves her." She said with a warm smile.
"Aww... so sweet." Said anjali hugging garima.

"Arnav ji! Why is it that whenever we go anywhere it is only us there I mean what is the need to book the whole restaurant?" asked Khushi taking a look of the place.
"Why ? do you have a problem being alone with me?" he asked raising his eyebrows.
"No! I mean..."
"Khushi... It's because as we have decided not to disclose your identity now I don't want any risk. You know as I am a business man so the media is always behind getting some gossip about me. They only need a reason to build a story. And for now my marriage is the biggest reason. They all want to have a glance or a chance to contact you because knowing that I am doing an arranged marriage itself is a big blow to them. All they want to do is gather some news about my would be wife. And aman has recently told me that many media person are even following my tracks to get to you and I don't want it at any reason. It's not that I don't want to reveal you openly but that will create many problems for you. They will make your life hell. And I surely don't want it and will not bare it. I hope you understand." He said with concern while taking her hands in his which was resting on the table.
"I do understand Arnav ji and it will be up to you when to reveal my identity." She said placing her another hand on his.
" You know what Khushi I don't know why but I feel protective for you! I have only felt this for Di until Ria came but now knowing you only for couple of days also I can attach my self with you." He said with a loving smile. "God! I think I am getting a bit cheesy now!" making a confused face.
Khushi only laughed at his expression and said " Who would think that you are the great A.S.R! I mean you are so different with people of your office and media! I mean when I googled about you nothing good came out! All it said was ruthless, arrogant, short tempered and..." Khushi was cut off from counting arnav's adjective by arnav himself.
"Wait... did you googled about me??" asked an amused arnav.
"What?? Oh... that ... uh... I mean... I didn't mean to...but...sorr.." nervousness took over Khushi and she was feeling like a child getting caught eating toffees without her dad's consent.
"Relax... It's okay..." he said calming her.
"No! I am sorry... voh actually... before meeting you in the temple... I just... for some information. But I am sorry." She explained.
"It's okay Khushi. You have the right and moreover everyone has the right on the information on google. Why are you saying sorry?" said arnav while Khushi just kept looking down.
"Khushi... look up! It okay! Any body would have done that if they would have to meet a man like me for marriage purpose. I have a bad air around people you see!" he said.
"So you don't feel bad right? That I detected about you?" she asked.
"Detected? Oh! So you were... what was the result miss detective?" he asked with a smirk.
"All the bad adjectives! But I think that all information is wrong. You are just soo sweet!" her soo was extra long.
"I am not sweet Khushi." It was am statement.
