Hate those victims...
havent read translation so...cant say. bt in greek plays, there r two i suggest...u're gonna love them like hell...lysistrata and medea...i swear...they r wonderful and freaking f**king awesome.

Greek mythology fans...great!
arey atleast they portray women as adventerous, spirited individuals... not like our sati savitri models..
Gowri...a bit wrong. few are there, but ultimately they are just like hell. i've read homer oxford, its in our course, and i hate what kinda character women do have...they r really nothing but just showpieces. i mean yeah there r goddesses who can screw u badly if u took a panga...bt otherwise...

me too read many stories from The Iliad & Odyssey.. i like Greek Myths but love Indian Myths more.. it's not true all the ladies in Indian Myth are Sati types.. as an example Annapurana is a name of Durga ma.. when Parvati becomes Annapurna she's sweet.. Anna means "food" or "grains". Purna means "full, complete and perfect". she is a soft avatar of Ma Durga.. who saves mankind from hunger..

But when Parvati becomes Kali she's destructive.. Dangerous..

personally i don't like story of Sati.. but I like story of Savitri. She tricked Yama to give back life of her husband..

I love Greek myths but i don't know why most of the gods are jealous type.. They were jealous of Helen cause of her beauty.. Hera, wife of Zeus were jealous of so many human girls..

it is said that god created human beings.. why creator is so jealous of his/her creation???

@mimi indian or greek. things hardly change. and yeah greek gods are hell jealous of everything... esp humans. that's useless, just like indra is insecure of every freaking sage. and at the end women dont have their own identities anywhere. as wife, mother, that's it...bt otherwise as a woman...they r nowhere.

Indra is Indian version of Zeus..

i dnt agree wd this.. before anything they were portrayed as a woman .. [not talking about folks.] though nowadays folks r very popular..
