Part 20:
Aisha's mind voice: agar aap dono ziddhi hai toh main bhi kuch kam nahi hoom……aap se mooh se Rathod ke jagah Sam aur Aisha ke jagah bhabhi nahi bhulwaaya toh mere naam bhi Aisha Kapoor nahi…..usske baadh hi Mrs Aisha Sameer Dhaamsingh Rathod banungi! That's a promise!
She grinned as she made that vow to herself……he wondered why she fell silent suddenly and he also noticed her grin…..but he ignored that conveniently……Some things were better off when left unclarified and silence was the best treatment as well!
Rest of the journey was silent and calm but there was a storm of sorts triggered off in both minds…..

Soon they are in the village and join the rest of the team…..
The rest of the team had already interrogated the boy's family, the head man of the village, few others related to the boy and also the other boys who saw the boy going into the mansion……..They were about go to the mansion when Arjun and Aisha joined them….
Together they step into the mansion and start scanning for the boy and also for any other clues….They find the ball that the boy had come searching for on the 1st step of the staircase…..
They pick it up…..and look around the same area…..
Meanwhile, Arjun goes up…and the rest of the team go to search the backyard of the mansion!
Rathod voices "agar ball yahaan hai toh uss bacche ko uphar jaane ki zaroorat nahi tha……isska matlab baccha neeche hi kahi se ghaayab hua hai…."
Arjun replies from the 1st floor…."nahi Rathod, woh ladka zaroor uphar aaya tha….yeh confirmed nahi ke woh khud aaya hoga ya kisine usse zabardasti uphar laaya hoga…par woh yahaan aaya zaroor aur shaayad yahi se usse kuch hua hai…..usske specs iss corner mein padhi hai….."
Rathod and Aisha come up instantly and find the boy's specs lying there…..
They search the other rooms and Arjun picks few more clues as well and then…..then as they descend the stair case, Rathod slips a bit and his leg gets caught in between a crack in the wooden staircase…..the plank give away and his leg goes into it…..
"Dammit" He calls out and sits there catching his leg….
Arjun who had been sprinting down before him turns to Rathod hearing him "Rathod, kya hua??"
Aisha was just behind and she also rushed to him……Arjun hides his concern tactfully and gets up from Rathod's side when Aisha reach them……
Arjun turns away and voiced "Aisha, sambaalke baahar nikhaalo warna chot lagega"
Aisha knew that this was a chance…..she couldn't let it go so easily……
She fakes as if she wasn't able to pull,"sir, yeh mujhse nahi ho raha….pls aap Sameer sir ke help kijiye…."
She didn't wait for his reply or nod…..She just stood up and waited for Arjun to take over….
Rathod shook his head in irritation and groaned a bit in pain….He could read what was going on in his lady love's mind……She was using his plight in favor of her reunion mission!
"How convenient!" he muttered to himself and let a deep sigh turning to see Arjun's reaction!
Arjun didn't have a choice but sit back there…he didn't bother to pull the leg out because he felt that Rathod would get hurt if they tried pulling it forcefully…the crude wood may pierce the skin…..So he first banged his fist on the plank and broke a little of the wood and then Rathod could pull his leg out and he managed to stand up!
He could stand up but walking was a bit tough…however careful Arjun had been, the skin was cut a bit….and Rathod had sprained his leg as well…
Arjun gave him a hand and with Aisha's support as well, Rathod came to the SUV….
Rathod muttered, "thanks Rawte…." While Arjun just gave a half nod and walked to the driver's seat!
Aisha sighed and let out a deep sigh thinking,"yeh dono ka kuch nahi ho saktha….ek halki se formal thanks aur ek half minded nod…..aur yun gayi meri saare mehnat paani mein! Damn!"
She brushed the thought away and did the first aid to the cut……By then the rest of the team came back….and they left for the house which was arranged for their stay!

Once back, they discussed the case for a while……They decide to go back to the mansion at midnight to confront the ghost and to know who exactly it was!

After the case discussion, the team disperses…..Aisha leaves Rathod in his room for taking rest and then goes out…..Sakshi, Liza, Chotu and Shree wish to venture and explore the village a bit before they start the investigation again…..
Aisha isn't willing to go with them leaving Sameer there….Though the rest try to convince her, she sticks to the point…
"nahi nahi…..main kahi nahi jaa rahi….agar tum logon ko jaana hai toh jaao….Sakshi, Arjun sir ko saath lekhe jaao…..woh apne room mein hi hai!"
[She winks at Sakshi]
Sakshi replies back instantly, "Aisha, plz humein baksh dho…..Sightseeing pe jaana hai hum sab ko,…..agar Arjun saat chalega toh aisa lagaga ke jailor apne khaidiyon ko walk pe le jaa raha hai! Masti mazaag chodo, ek smile tak nahi karne dega humein…gurr gurr ke samjhe ya samjhaavum lecture dekhe humein maar hi daalega…..so pls usse yahi rehne dho!…."
Aisha grins hearing her comment….
Liza: main kya kehthi hoom…iss Specky ko bhi yahi chodke jaathe hai….[she stops grinning at Shree]
Shree glares at her through his specs while Sakshi, "Guysss plzz….dont start now!"
Shree ignores Liza and voices, "accha Aisha hum log bas yun gaye aur yun aaye…..tab tak tum bass unn dono se kuch kehke sambaal lena….."
Aisha grins and nods…"ok….fine but tum log jaldi aa jaana…..dont be late, ok…warna…."
Chotu: nahi nahi…..zyaadha dher tak hum baahar nahi rahenge….jaldi aa jaayenge!
Shree: haan Chotu…….waise bhi bhootini ke saat midnight date jo hai!
Chotu poses a frightened look while Shree pats him "Relax Chotu….tumhe thodi akele date pe jaana hai….hum sab hai na??"
Sakshi and Liza drag them away cutting short their silly talks!

Aisha decides to check on Sameer once before retiring to her room and just a few steps before his room, she stops right in her tracks seeing something……
She sees a rather surprising pleasant sight…..She ducks to the side and peeps in slightly to see what was happening….
Arjun was in Sameer's room and was giving Sameer a glass of water!
She smiled seeing that and she was now sure that God was with her and will always stand by her to fulfill her promise to herself…..These friends will be back together! Someone chirped in her mind! And she smiled in relief!

A few minutes before……When Aisha was busy talking to Sakshi, Liza, Chotu and Shree in the corridor…..Rathod felt his throat drying up…..He was sitting up on the bed with his legs stretched out…..
He tried calling for Aisha…"Aisha…….are you around??"
Hearing no response, he decided to get up himself and take it…….
That's when Arjun who was passing by that side heard him…he looked around and none from the team not even Aisha was anywhere there…..So he stepped inside because he knew that Rathod was resting and felt that he may need something…..and that's why he was calling for Aisha…..….
Arjun enquired, "tumhe kuch chahiye Rathod?"
Rathod looked up to the door from where Arjun enquired and looked away a bit and replied, "haan mujhe paani chahiye….wahi lene jaa raha hoom"
Saying that he tried to stand but Arjun quickly came inside voicing "tum rukho, I will get it…."
There was a jug of water and a glass on the table……Arjun poured it for him and handed him the glass….
That's when Aisha also came to the room and hid back herself to let the friends behave like friends…….
The concern and care for each other for each other was evident always but their adamant self tried their best to keep it hidden and Aisha was only trying to bring that true emotions out! She knew she would succeed definitely! That was the trust she had on the duo's friendship
She just had to make them realize that their friendship was much stronger than the reason for which they had split years back!
