Hello...back with a new part...hope u like it...

its a bit complicated and difficult to write romance for this couple...hope my attempt does atleast a bit of justice!

Part4:

Sameer literally smacked himself for having become the chief of ETF because the lady before him could only visualize him as her boss who always discusses about cases with her…..

But no, today he had to change that image of his before her….he had to make her realize what he truly felt for her…..He had that terrible urge as if it was a now or never situation!

He gathered up and spoke "kya hum humesha case ke baare mein hi discuss kar sakthe hai??"

Aisha looked to his side astonished by his out of the box question…..

Aisha smiled after the initial hesitation because of the surprise that her chief gave her…

She replied back with a naughty glint in her eyes "nahi aisa koyi rule toh nahi par it's a fact ke hum humesha sirf case ke baare mein hi baatein karthe hai! isiliye maine socha…"

He didn't let her complete that and spoke instantly…"wahi soch bathalna chahtha hoom Aisha…kya main….I mean hum…."

Aisha looked at him anxious to know what he was going to say and also encouraging him to go on….

He continued after a small hesitation, "kya hum dhost nahi bann sakthe? Kuch personal casual baatein nahi share kar sakthe?"

[Thank god, he atleast made a starting point to their informal relationship, even if it was a friendship]

Aisha nodded with a smile "hmmm….main already aapko ek dhost, ek guide ke tarah hi dekhthi hoom Sir…your dedication and honesty is really an inspiration to me!"

Sameer smiled at her but again he was lightly disappointed because her words and thoughts seemed to reflect that she saw him only as her boss Sameer…..but he knew it would take more time to change the equations between them and alter his image in her head to a more informal one and get her to speak to him more casually…..

As a first step, he felt he had to change the way she called him…..He didn't know how she would take that but he voiced out "Aisha, you can call me Sameer when we are like this….i mean agar team mein se koyi saat nahi hai toh…."

Aisha: [giving a sweet smile] are you sure?? Protocol ke isaab se..

Sameer cut her short "protocol sab office mein hai na?? baahar toh nahi"

Aisha: yeah right…[thinking for a second].mushkil hai but I will try!

Sameer smiled as she said that……

A few moments of silence continued and then she slowly speaks up "apna best friend ko miss kar rahe hai, right?"

It was a question that lingered in her head always after she had sensed it….today when he initiated a casual talk, she had to bring this out…..

She had felt it always in their interactions…..yes she had noticed the vibes of a long lost friendship between her seniors….she was smart enough to grasp it from their heated arguments and unpredictable glares! The closeness and friendship that they had once shared reflected even in their fights! If there were sparks, there were streaks of concern and affection as well between them! Both of them couldn't bear a scratch on the other! She had seen it either sides!

She could see that the man sitting by her side was a lonely soul to the core as he didn't have his friend with him….he wasn't a person of many friends for sure….and if her guess was right, the only best close friend he had ever had was Arjun….maybe he never wished to fill up that place with another….Though he couldn't get himself to solve the problem and bring back that friendship, maybe he always hoped that such a time would come when he would get his only friend back….

She also knew that his friend, her other hot headed senior Arjun wasn't in any better state…..He had lost his friend as well and was badly missing his Sam….

The problem between them was something very big and it wasn't that easy to solve but she felt a sense of responsibility within her to make an attempt to do that!

Somebody to share a cool casual talk, somebody who could understand and with whom the happy and sad times could be shared….somebody to be just a patient listener at times…..Anyone would wish for such a person atleast once in their life ….Maybe that's what he wished from her at these moments or perhaps it was even more which she had felt in his gaze at her….She didn't know why her heart fluttered when he did that…..She could feel the difference in her all of sudden and she knew the reason for those changes were him!

Aisha's question about his best friend did make him a bit restless….he didn't know what or how to answer that….Luckily for him, a few minutes of silence was only needed, they were almost at her place….

Pulling up the SUV, he spoke up "tumaara ghar…"

Aisha was anxiously waiting for his reply and was also equally tensed if he had taken her question as an intrusion into his personal life…

Sensing the vehicle slowing down, she snapped out and looked around and realized that it was indeed her place….she thanked him "thanks…"

As she unlocked the door, he called her "Aisha…[she turned to him and he continued] woh sab baatein share karna mere liye itna aasaan nahi hai…..kuch waqt lagega…"

Aisha smiled back "Don't worry….bohat waqt hai humaare paas….jab bhi aap ko kisi se baat karne ki mann karein ya ek friend ki kami mehsoos ho, toh I am always there….."

Sameer smiled,"thanks Aisha….good night.."

Aisha replied back "good night Sameer…"

That "Sameer" from her couldn't have sounded better! It somehow seemed to be a start to break the ice barriers that stood between them….perhaps barriers of an official formal relationship they shared!

She walked into the building bidding him bye once more….He kept looking at her till she was out of his vision and then resumed his drive…..

He didn't know why he felt so different today….and today, for the first time in his life, he seemed to think seriously about a partner with whom he could share his whole life…..and his heart kept whispering back to his mind…."isn't it her for whom you had been waiting for so long?"
