Broken!
Arnav's hands halted at the steering wheel as he heard the panicstriken voice of Garima from the otherside.
"What? I am coming"
He closed his eyes and rested his head on the steering wheel.
"Please God, keep her safe"
He said and turned the vehicle into a u-turn and drove like a maniac to the direction.

Arnav ran through the hospital corridors wiping his face as tears threatened to fall. His heart thudding brutally against his ribs, he slammed his hands on the glass pane of ICCU!
He clutched onto the door knob as one attender tried to move him away from the door.
Chutki too came and held his hands, stopping him.
"Jiju, calm down, Di is going to be alright"
She said as she made him sat on the chair outside.
"What just happened in this one hour of time, she had just called me saying that everyone is ready to leave for the Mandir"
Chutki controlled her tears and sat next to him. holding his hands and squeezing it lightly as she was lost for words.
A nurse came outside the ICCU and Arnav almost blocked her from moving anywhere.
"what happened to Khushi? Is she alright? Can I see her for once?"
He asked in one breath with pleading eyes.
"You are?"
Nurse looked at the man curiously.
"I'm Arnav , her fianc"
Before she could utter a word he was already inside the room.
"Sir, you are not allowed here now, please wait outside" another nurse said as he barged inside, reaching for a pale Khushi laying on the bed unconscious.
Doctor who was checking Khushi looked up at him, her eyes widening.
"You are Arnav?"
She asked checking Khushi's pulse rate once again.
"Yes, I am Arnav, Khushi's fianc, we were supposed to be at the Mandir now, for our marriage"
He said his voice shaking a little as he bent down at Khushi, his heart racing speedily, watching his Love laying on the bed wearing a hospital gown instead of her cherry red lehenga.
Doctor looked at him with sympathy as she gestured him to follow her to the adjacent room.
Arnav's heart sped up as he looked at Khushi one more time before entering Doctors Cabin, reluctantly.
"She just had an abortion"
Arav felt his head spinning as he heard the word "Abortion" he blinked his eyes several times registering that word in his mind and why Khushi will do such thing with their child.
Khushi will never do this to their child. She loved him as much as he loved.
"Not possible, Khushi will never do such an evil thing with our child"
He said glaring at the Doctor.
"I can understand your feelings Mr. Arnav but it is the truth, your fianc had consumed a pill which lead her into an abortion, and she was been overdosed, we could not save your child, because it was too late, and saving Khushi was our only option."
Doctor sighed and started prescribing something on a paper.
Arnav could not believe his ears and he stood up abruptly and walked outside the cabin.
He watched her face from a distance as she stared at the roof, her eyes welling up with fresh tears.
She sensed him, somehow!
"Khushi"
His voice was sad, as he gulped down the lump formed in his throat. He closed his eyes for a moment before reaching for her bed.
"Sir, you are not allowed to enter without permission" A nurse came to his side and informed him.
"Its okay, let Mr. Arnav meet Khushi, but only for few minutes, her condition is not that good still"
Doctor said before leaving out of the ICCU!
She was looking at him with her puffy eyes, he wasted no time and strolled towards her bed.
"Arnavv… I am sorry"
Her voice caught in her throat as he grabbed her numb body into a hug. She sobbed into his chest, not able to hold back her tears anymore.
"How did it happened, Khushi?"
"I don't know how it happened, I fell from the stairs of the temple, feeling dizzy and then when I opened my eyes, I was here, in this hospital bed..and I could not save her..Arnavv.. I could not.."
She sobbed hard wetting his shirt. He consoled her, his lips pressing onto her hair.
"Its okay, please don't cry, you are too weak, just rest for sometime, I'll be waiting outside"
He said and left her before she could say anything. She looked at his retreating back as he left in hurry.
She caressed her flat stomach, she could not believe just what happened in this 1 hour, which changed her whole dream into a bitter truth, which she could not digest.

Chutki came and sat next to Arnav as he hid his face in his palms. She could not understand what just happened inside the Doctors cabin. He was upset, his body language screamed it.
"Jiju? What did the doctor say?"
She asked squeezing his swooping shoulders. He did not respond, but stood up abruptly and left from there.
She watched him leaving before entering inside the cabin along with Garima and Payal.
